Your Outback Journey of a Lifetime starts at 6am from Alice Springs or around 2pm pickup at Ayers Rock Airport. We enjoy a fascinating road-trip to Uluru! Once the whole group is together, we explore the Cultural Centre, do a guided walk at Uluru, and enjoy a spectacular Uluru sunset with bubbly wine. Rest with a hot shower and a wholesome meal back at camp, then it’s an unforgettable sleep under the desert stars. Includes Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2 - Ayers Rock to Kata Tjuta National Park
Early breakfast before going to Kata Tjuta for a stunning Uluru sunrise. Hike through the Valley of the Winds, and feast on a refreshing lunch. Travel through the Outback, viewing the George Gill Range and more, before camping at Kings Creek Station. Here enjoy a real Aussie BBQ by a campfire, under those beautiful stars! Includes Breakfast, Lunch, dinner and refreshments.

Day 3 - Kata Tjuta National Park to Curtin Springs
After breakfast go to incredible Kings Canyon, and hike around the famous Rim Walk. Relax in the peaceful desert oasis, the Garden of Eden. Then back to Kings Creek Station for a relax, swim, or helicopter ride (charges apply). That night escape to our private bush camp at Curtin Springs Station. Capture sunset views of Mt Conner and enjoy your final night on tour, under the outback stars. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, dinner and refreshments.

It’s a relaxed start to the day with a well-deserved later sleep, before a tasty cooked breakfast. Make one last farewell Uluru photo stop, before heading back to Alice Springs.

Easy day today as we catch the Greyhound bus directly down to Adelaide. Starting in the afternoon we arrive the following day at around 6.30am
***Add a stop at the famous mining town of Coober Pedy. Arrive into Coober Pedy at 6:30pm on day 5 and spend a night sleeping in an underground hotel. Depart the next day at 7:30pm and continue to Adelaide. This option will extend your itinerary by 1 day. Accommodation in Coober Pedy not included.***

What should I pack?
Depending on where in Australia or New Zealand you decide to visit, your luggage will vary. For exact information please visit the "What to bring" section of each tour page.
What immunisations do I need?
For the latest information on immunisations, we strongly recommend you or contact the Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centre (www.traveldoctor.com.au) to discuss health requirements for your trip. They will advise you about appropriate inoculations.
Do I need to take any medical supplies?
It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How much luggage can I take?
We don't have an exact policy when it comes to luggage though we just ask our customers to be mindful that we have limited space. Generally we recommend people to bring a large backpack/suitcase with all their gear and another smaller backpack to keep on the bus and hold their daily items ( phone, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc ) and which they used to take on walks etc. If you have a lot of luggage is best to leave the things you don't need at your hotel/hostel where they will store it for free.
Where can I store my luggage whilst on tour?
During the tour your main luggage will be stored in our trailer. This trailer is always locked however we cannot guarantee the complete safety of your gear from theft or damage. This is why it is so important to purchase a good travel insurance. If you need to store your luggage whilst away on tour, this can be done through your accommodation. Most hostel and hotels will store your luggage safely free of charge.
Will I be able to do any laundry whilst on tour?
For camping tours there will be no time to do laundry. However, for longer cross country tours involving hostel or hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to wash your clothes.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
For all camping tours require you to have a sleeping bag. If you don't have one they may be available for hire via the "join tour" button.
How fit do I need to be?
Our tours are made to be fun, informative and active and can be enjoyed by anyone with a moderate degree of fitness and agility. Travellers should be comfortable with hiking/walking up to 5km each day.
Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Can I get online whilst travelling?
For tours incorporating hostel/hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to use wireless internet or use of nearby internet cafe. If you have a mobile plan with internet then that should be ok except for more remote regions. This will vary from tour to tour so please contact us directly for more accurate information.
Will I be able to use my mobile whilst on tour?
You can use your mobile while touring in Australia or New Zealand, but coverage may be limited in remote areas. For best connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card or an international roaming plan.

Do I have to book this tour online?
Definitely not. Our website is designed to make is easy and convenient for you to schedule your tour. However we understand sometimes its nice to talk to someone directly. So by all means give us a call and we can organise your trip over the phone.
If I book more than one tour can I get a discount?
Absolutely! If you are booking multiple tours then we may be able to offer you a discount. Send us an email at info@lostinaustralia.org and let us know what you thinking of doing and we can put together a price for you.Also, be sure to look out for monthly specials on tours. We often have some great bargains.
How do I know when a tour is available?
You can check the departure dates of tours by using our calendar on the top right hand corner of the tour page. This will tell you what days the tour departs. For availability of seats please contact us directly at info@lostinaustralia.org or call us.
Can I just do a section of this tour and not the whole trip?
Unfortunately it is not possible to only do a part of the tour. Passengers generally need to stay with the tour from start to finish.However, drop off locations at the end of the tour made me negotiated.
Does the tour price include flights?
No. Tour prices do not include any travel arrangements other than for the duration of the tour itself. If you need assistance with booking flights or buses our travel team and certainly help - Just ask!
How far in advance do I need to book my tour?
As a rule of thumb we generally say AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to departure, this will usually get you a seat on the date you want. That being said, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available at the time of your booking so, if you can, book as soon as possible. Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. If you know when you'd like to travel, please contact us and we will let you know if you need to book soon or if you have time.
If I make a deposit only, when will I need to pay the balance?
Balance on tours need to be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. Failure to do so could result is the cancellation of your seat with a fee charged. If you need more time to clear your balance then let us know ASAP and arrangements can be made.
Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
What does "Paid Locally" mean?
Some tours require you to pay national park fees directly, in cash, to the tour guide on the morning of departure. Rest assured this will be subtracted from the tour price when reserving your tour.
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.
Whilst on tour
What type of tent will I get?
Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. However, most Uluru tours we try and encourage the use of swags and mattress rather than tents. This is the ideal way to camp in the centre of Australia; Around a campfire, under the stars!
What will the food be like?
Our emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and our meals are nutritious and varied on these tours. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, fruits, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve picnic sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner - This can vary between pastas, bbqs, rices and other hearty food to keep you energized! We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops. Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included.
Can you cater of special diets?
We can certain cater for most dietary needs. Please advise us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made. For travellers with more extreme diets we may ask that you bring along additional snacks.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.
What form of vehicle do we use?
For our Uluru Tours we toss between a Troop Carrier 4WD Landcruise and a 4WD Mini bus. This depends on the size of the group and the amount of days we are out in the park. Each tour varies so please refer to your tour info panel on the top right hand side of the page.
Are there days where we travel for a long time?
During the first day we usually do a couple of hours driving to get out of the city and into the country side. However, once in the national parks, trips between attractions usually take between 30minutes to an hour.For tours heading up to Darwin or down to Adelaide, expect periods where we drive for a few hours at a time. Australia is enormous and the distance between towns and attractions can be quite large. But don't worry, we take plenty of breaks so your able to stretch and move about.For more accurate information please see tour itineraries.
What will the weather be like?
Between the months of April and August Central Australia is quite cold so be sure to bring warm clothing. Temperatures range from about 20c during the day right down to 2c at night.Between October and March temperature are warm, so light clothing during the day is ok. However, night times can still be quite cool so its wise to bring light winter clothing for extra warm.

Definitely recommended! Really cool tour at Uluru, sleeping in swags is a really special experience. The tour guides know a lot to tell, you learn a lot about the culture of the aborigines. Only disadvantage is that you drive back and forth a lot if you start and end in Alice Springs. Also did the tour towards Darwin afterwards, this is more of a road trip, you are of course on the road a bit longer, but this was also a really cool experience really in the outback of Australia, with the large cattle stations and you end in the evening at a real cozy outback pub

Unbelievable tour. Truly breathtaking and such an incredible experience. Cannot recommend this tour enough. Don’t let swag camping put you off, this tour is how Uluru and the Outback should be done. Just make sure you are prepared and know what to expect! Bring a fly net and lots of sun protection! Everything about how the tour is run is so enjoyable. The itinerary is really well done, especially if you are adventurous and like hiking and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The food is also excellent! The best bit about our tour was the guide, we had Jason who elevated the whole experience. Extremely experienced, organised and wonderfully hilarious. They are also so accommodating and helpful with airport pick ups etc. Do yourself a favour and book through these guys. As someone who has done a lot of group tours I can safely say that they know what they are doing.

Did the Rock-to-Rock tour and it was one of the best things I've done in Australia - once in a lifetime experience. The camping out in the open is one of the best parts, proper outback experience. Lachy was our guide and was a legend - very informative when it came to the various locations but also great craic around the camp, and makes a banging spag bol too.

The landscape is stunning, and Mulgas does a really good job of making sure you see so much!
Everything is very well organized, amazing food all included, lots of information about all of the sites, history and lore! And all super respectful of the native land which is awesome!
Couldn’t have asked for a better guide with Tim!! He brought the best energy and made sure everyone felt a part of the experience. Even tho I went solo we all felt like a big family by the end of it!!

One of the most complete and utterly memorable trips I've ever taken. Laying under the stars and relaxing by the fire is something you will never forget. Working in a group and enjoying every second is one of the best parts. In my honest opinion, this is one of the best tours around Ayers Rock on the market, and this was all thanks to Tim, a man, a myth, and a legend.

A little late posting this but here I am - what an adventure this was. I had the great fortune of being able to do both the Uluru/Red Centre tour and the Alice Springs to Darwin tour, and not only that but was able to do both with the incredible Liv (Olivia). Yes the views were of course spectacular, the stars beautiful and the stops all along the way northwards were awesome but they wouldn't have been half as good without her as our guide. (She even got me camping and dancing to various extents, thats how good she is).
I suppose I should write something helpful and review-based too, but its hard to sum up. Being able to see the majestic sights of the red centre and then travel all the way up through the Northern Territory, watching the land change and seeing lots of interesting and slightly bonkers sights is what Aussie travel is all about. Just do it already. 10 stars out of 5

For anyone looking to explore Uluru and some of the Aussie outback, this is honestly the Tour to pick! Expect to meet great people, sleep under the stars in a cosy swag, see incredible scenery while
hiking and driving the area, eat delicious food prepared by you and your group, and learn more about Anangu culture. Our guide Tim definitely made the tour such a memorable experience! He brought humour, a ton of knowledge and endless energy to the whole trip. From little details like sharing cool facts, helping the group to bond, to playing fun music and tactfully waking us up at the crack of dawn, Tim was absolute gold! I loved learning more about local flora and fauna and aboriginal culture and even enjoyed Tim’s many punny jokes. The tour felt really personal due to the size of the group and Tim’s attentiveness as a guide. Honestly couldn’t fault one bit of the whole experience!

I had the BEST experience ever in the red centre !
Liv was such a great tour guide, always smiling, cheerful and very passionate about her job. It was my first time camping in the outback, and I loved every moment of it.

It was an amazing Australian Outback experience by sleeping in swags under the stars, learning about Indigenous beliefs and history, and exploring the incredible rock formations of Uluru, Kata Tjuṯa, and Kings Canyon. Our tour guide Olivia clearly loves her job and shares her knowledge with such passion that she made the trip truly special. I did the 6 day Darwin to Uluru tour and had an amazing trip! The tour guides, Liv and Nat, were brilliant and helped the trip run smoothly as well as making it fun. The scenery through the NT was incredible and we saw a great mixture of everything on the journey down. Camping under the stars for the last 3 nights was an experience I’ll never forget. Would highly recommend!

Phenomenal! We did the rock-to-rock tour at the end of August and it has been the best thing I've done in Australia in the year I've been here.
The tour was seamlessly organised and we had such a fun group. Our tour guide, Lachie, was fantastic - informative, up for a laugh, makes a sensational Bolognese!
A must-do for anyone backpacking in Australia.

I did the Rock to Rock followed by the Alice to Darwin adventure and what an experience! I had the most amazing time, saw some incredible sites and met some fantastic people! My tours guides were knowledgeable and made both trips feel relaxed. Would do the whole trip again in a heart beat! Top tip: Fly into Uluru Airport to avoid the 6 hour drive on day 1 of the Rock to Rock tour!

We had the privilege to have Leelee as our 10-star guide! She was able to give us the real outback-family feeling in 5 minutes. What a great tour… no… what a great EXPERIENCE!! As a guide she was really proud to share het knowledge about aboriginal culture, in a (recent) historical context and much much more. What a great positive energy she had! The camp in the outback was so great: bush fire, singing, enjoying the real dark nights… counting the stars…. And breakfast in bed (the swag ).
And the hikes we made…. So beautiful.

I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who’s looking for an outback adventure. The tour was well paced with visits to Uluru, Kata Tjuṯan and Kings Canyon. We had Liv as our tour guide and she was absolutely amazing her energy and enthusiasm was infectious and she made sure everyone was having a good time. Through her attention to detail and care for the land in which we walked it was clear that we were going to have a very special experience from the start. It truly was an adventure, sleeping in swags under the stars, cooking on the open fire, hiking in the days. The bush camp was a fantastic experience and I’d definitely do it all again.

A brilliant adventure made even better by the ever charming and indefatigable Tim. Across the four day tour, he expertly guided our group through a series of incredible vistas and locales, helping to create memories that’ll last a lifetime. Writing this from my desk at work, staring out of the window at traffic and high-rise buildings, I’m left wondering whether the whole trip was even real. I’m knackered, but it was life affirming to hang out with a bunch of charming strangers who soon became dear friends, all while exploring the Australian Outback. Superb all round, and a unique experience that will stay with me for a very long time indeed.

This tour was such a unique experience!! We slept in swags in the middle of nowhere, our amazing tourguide Olivia cooked us dinner on the fire with wood we collected ourselves and it was such an awesome vibe with the group. I would recommend everyone to book this tour!! Uluru and the surroundings itself were absolutely stunning but the whole camping experience itself made it very special to me <3 Something I’ll never forget. I was kind of scared of all the animals and everything at first, but Liv made me feel very safe! PS: there are many many flies there so don’t forget to bring a fly net!

10/10 trip hosted by the wonderful knowledgeable and insightful Rachel. From the word go she made everything so clear, the days were perfectly planned and timed. I had the best time on the Rock to Rock Tour. My Tourguide was Laura and I couldn‘t wish for a better Tourguide. Laura really has a song for every situation in her playlist. I came as a solotravel girl and met so many nice people on that trip that I never felt lonely. Laura took care of us and even on long destination drives we had a lot of puzzles and games in the bus. The food was just amazing and also fullfilling. Sleeping in the swags was the best experience - I loved it and they are in a really good condition. Mulgas is the best tour provider you can get in Australia. I did the Uluru tour in April with CJ. She was so fun and made sure we saw sunrise and sunset everyday and ate well! Everything is provided and I didn’t have to worry about anything after booking the flight. Then I found myself in Darwin a few months later and knew I needed to do the tour down to Alice springs. This time I had Laura who was so knowledgeable and we got to see a taste of true Aussie Outback life! They seem to hire the best tour guides. All are so patient, fun, and know how to lead well! These tours are the best value for money you can get in Australia and if they had more tours around the country I’d be signed up for all of them! I’d recommend to book direct to get free swag!

Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Taylor was the perfect tour guide, brought a great energy and made sure everything ran smoothly!! She gave us a respectful insight to the traditions and culture of the local Indigenous Australians, as well as the history and geology of the area.

Alex made the tour worth our while, where the tour on itself already was mind-blowing. The camping sites, locations he took us to, knowledge he had to share and the incredible luck we had with our amazing group. Making campfires, playing guitar and singing along with it, had great food served and the task division which was perfectly arranged by Alex. All-in-all it was an experience that I wouldn't have missed for the world. We also got lucky with our in-house astrologist who had lots to share about the starry skies at night time.
For everyone who is thinking about doing this trip, I would recommend to do it with Mulgas Tours and i hope you all get Alex as your guide.

Honestly the best way to see the red centre. Great people, great vibes and stunning views. Laura was incredible & thinks of all the extra little details that make a trip so memorable - tunes for every moment, Tim tams & Anzac biccies mid-hike, champagne at sunset and mars bar damper on the fire.
Breakfast, lunches and dinners + snacks were all top tier. Was super impressed.
The value for money is unmatched. 10/10 recommend.

Leelee made our experience at Uluṟu incredible! This stay was as authentic as possible, with unforgettable moments of sharing thanks to our international peeckyLeelee!
I have never had a guide as dedicated and passionate as Leelee! We were the first on-site every morning thanks to her, managing a group of 15 people so well is truly impressive!
Honestly, we would never have had such an authentic experience (evenings by the fire, surprise wake-ups, stories about the sites...) if we had done this trip on our own.
Being able to sleep under the stars is also an unforgettable experience, and of course, the sites are just breathtaking!
In short, I would go with Leelee again with my eyes closed, you are in the best in the Ausssie hands in the bush!

Tour guide LeeLee has an excellent personality, a good sense of humour, kind and very entertaining. She served breakfast in bed on the very last morning. She played her guitar at night while we gathered around the campfire, ate marshmallow and a campfire cake.
There were ample of food, breakfast, lunch, dinner, ample snacks during the long drive, fruits after a long hike, etc...
Uluru the place is much more than just the rock Uluru. Dont get me wrong Uluru itself is nice, its much bigger than it looks, but Kata Tjuta is much bigger than Uluru, more amazing, you can climb too. But Kings Canyon is most amazing, you can climb it, get amazing views from to top and you are allowed to take photographs.

I joined the Rock-to-Rock-tour one week ago and am still in awe with the experience. It exceeded my expectations big time!
We had the perfect group size of only 8 people and the amazing guide Leelee.
Leelee managed to get us front row views every time and had the best banter. It’s amazing to have someone with her experience and knowledge guiding us around.
Sleeping under the full moon and a sky full of stars, next to a campfire in the desert was definitely a bucket list thing.
It’s great to have the opportunity to add on extras such as the helicopter ride above Kings Canyon which was a dream coming true.
I was slightly worried about not being able to shower + not having enough drinking water but none of that was an issue as 2/3 camping places had clean shower facilities.
10/10 would recommend this tour to my friends/anyone that is planning to visit The Red Centre.

This was an incredible experience! Camping under the most amazing night sky, seeing some unforgettable places, learning bits about the culture, history and geology of these amazing sites.

WHAT AN AWESOME ADVENTURE…. I was gifted the Mulgas Rock to Rock tour by my two besties for my 40th Birthday. Despite initial fears of sleeping on the ground and not in my comfy bed at this age, I honestly can say, this was the most amazing and fun experience I’ve had! The beauty and serenity of the outback truly speaks for itself but this trip was made all the more wonderful thanks to our outstanding guide JAMES. Not only does he have the most respect for the aboriginal culture and land but his knowledge is vast. (Not to mention his ability to hold it together when the banter is coming in hot). The way the trip is organised from the food, to the campsites, to the sunrises, sunsets, walks, showers and toilets is like a well oiled machine, without feeling like you’re on a schedule! James has the best energy, is funny, laidback and was so considerate of everyone’s needs. We also had an awesome group of people who I can’t thank enough for making this trip all the more special! The most amazing, breathtaking and unforgettable experience I’ve had in Australia. Every day just kept getting better and better, and the views don’t stop coming. Sleeping under the stars in the middle of nowhere in the Outback is truly a once in a lifetime experience and not one to be missed!! Laura was the best tour guide anyone could ask for, she was fun and easy going, but also made sure that we were up and ready to be the first group to every destination which meant that we had the places to ourselves and front row seats to the best views in Aus. Her knowledge, respect and enthusiasm for the Aboriginal culture and history made her talks so engaging to listen to and I certainly learnt a massive amount about the land and its people. My partner and I loved this tour. Exactly what we were looking for. Group not too big or too small. Around the start September was perfect weather. Not too hot not too cold. I loved the participation of cooking and camp fires. Phil was our tour guide and I loved how easy going he was but also clear on what you can and can't do. Felt we were in good hands. It is cheeper then a lot of other options and although I havent done any other tours around there ide say its better to go cheap. We had such a fabulous trip, such a unique part of Oz, and covered so many details you never would have gotten on a self drive. Loved the participation of everyone cooking and cleaning and gathering wood. Even loved the early starts. The food was delish. I loved the tour! At the beginning the idea of sleeping in a swag was a bit scary but I ended up loving it. Sleeping under stars, next to the bonfire and with my friends was an experience I will never forget. The hikes, stargazing and camping were incredible. I think this is the best tour to experience the outback.
Everything was even more special thanks to our tour guide Simon. He is the best tour guide you can have, he is so enthusiastic about his job, funny and friendly. We learned a lot about the culture and interesting facts thanks to him.

Our group had a fabulous time, Phil rescued a baby Joey whilst on our way to Uluru which was an amazing thing to see & despite the fact we had rain, thunder and lightning at times- Phil kept the tour fun and updated us with any changing plans. In the end we managed to see Uluru in rain and sunshine. What a great experience that was. Phil was a great tour guide and I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone, solo, couples, friends!! This was the best trip ever! I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to book it at first but I am SO glad I did! Liv was an amazing tour guide and was super knowledgeable about everything there was to explore and talk about. She always made sure our safety came first and brought the energy the whole time, even during the early mornings and rainy days (which were both totally worth it!). Our group was lucky enough to see waterfalls and lightning storms at Uluru, plenty of wildlife, and a rainbow over the canyon. The tour was really well planed and took us to all of the highlight places with well chosen timing too with different Uluru lookouts for sunrises and sunsets as well as “bigger” hikes in the morning before the midday heat. Quite possibly the best experience I've had in Australia and I've done quite a bit at this stage. The camping was brilliant, swags comfortable, campfires cosy, the surround of nature's sounds so relaxing.
The tour itself was fantastic. Early starts but to the sounds of some wonderful music playing through the Bluetooth speaker. Loads packed into each day and as it was hot there it was necessary to start early. You get to see some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets and gain the advantage of doing the treks when it's slightly cooler.
The guide, Rachel, was awesome. Enthusiastic, funny and hugely insightful about the history and practices of the area. An absolute pleasure to have her as our tour guide.
This offers the chance to really switch off from everything, I recommend putting the phone away apart from when taking pictures, the phone will be out a lot for that :D
Nourishment wise the food was excellent. I've been on some tours where you would be going rather hungry from time to time. No chance of that here. Abundance of food and a chance to sample a few items you wouldn't normally get too. A all hands on deck approach with prep cooking and wash up. Great for integrating with the group on the first day and I met some really cool people on the tour as a whole too.
I would recommend Mulgas to anyone wishing to tour the area without a moment's hesitation.

The tour has such a great community vibe about it and Liv really went above and beyond the whole time!
Early starts and the aussie style swags take a bit to get used to but I couldn’t imagine a nicer way to do the area than to sleep with a clear view of the vivid starry sky.
The sights were incredible and when I we went we managed to avoid the crowds as well (likely due to the sunrise starts).

Luke, our tour guide, was by far the kindest, funniest, and best engaged guide I've ever had on a tour. I thought I was unfortunate sitting in the front of the bus next to the driver when we first hopped on the tour at the Uluru airport, but Luke was very good at shooting the sh*t and willing to answer any questions I could throw at him. He proved to be very knowledgeable, coordinated various personalities well, and helped handle logistical issues for some of the tour guests without disrupting the whole tour. Most important, Luke was engaging and funny; there was not one moment on this tour where I was not having fun.

James and Simon were explaining the history and culture of each place that we went to, and had such a great energy about them which really influenced the rest of the group. I especially loved the last evening around the fire where James played this didgeridoo and put on a guided meditation for us while we watched the stars. 10/10 amazing experience!!!

The Red Centre of Australia and its iconic sites must be seen and appreciated. That being said, the ONLY way to see the Outback is with Mulgas Adventures. Olivia, our tour guide, is a young professional, knowledgeable, energetic and fun. Her attention to detail is second to none and contributed to great group moral.

Had an amazing experience. Olivia (Liv) (Pink Hair) was absolutely amazing. She had so much knowledge on all the places we went to and was very accomodating to everyone. I would come back and do this trip again if she was the tour for sure!

Highly recommend this adventure if you want to learn more about the history and culture of Uluru, and enjoy camping. I was a solo traveler and met wonderful people while on the trip.
Our tour guide Simon was professional and funny, and clearly knew everything there was to know about the area.
The weather in October wasn't too warm, and all of the walks were doable for everyone in the group.
If you plan on visiting Uluru and the surrounding areas, then this tour is the only way you should do it.

By far the best company out of Alice Springs to do these beautiful and sacred locations with. The star of the show was our tour guide Laura Holmes, so knowledgeable, hilarious but also on point with it all so everything ran smoothly. She even bought me dinner after the tour as she had lost the waving game on the bus. We were lucky the group was awesome we all got along well so I personally will never forget this experience :)

I will remember this tour for a long time.
Once-in-a-lifetime sunrises/sunsets, hiking through some of Australia's most scenic natural wonders, and sleeping in swags under star-filled skies. What more can you ask for?
To cap it off our tour guide Laura was brilliant! She was so easygoing and passionate about passing on her knowledge of Aboriginal culture.
If you want a real taste of what the Australian outback is like you can't go wrong booking a Mulgas tour.

The tour was a great experience! The walks/hikes at the three different spots were nice.
Our tourguide Simon knows a lot about the history and nature and we passed super nice lookouts. He cared about us and was well prepared for really everything expected and unexpected. We also had a lot of fun with him.
Especially in the bush camp we slept under an incredible sky full of stars.
I would definitely do it again!

The Mulgas tour was everything I was looking for and more! The experience was incomparable, perfect duration for a quick visit to camp around Uluru, saw many different sites, accessible but still exhilarating hikes, views like nothing I've ever seen before.

Great tour which allows us to be connected with the nature and the wild life.
Olivia, our guide was awesome, she really picked the perfect time for the group to enjoy the best sunset, sunrise and time of the day to visit the sites with a manageable weather.

This was our first time in Aus and visiting the outback was definitely a massive highlight. Our guide was Olivia and she was amazing. Liv ensured everyone had a fantastic experience. Her knowledge was outstanding and she put fabulous energy and enthusiasm into making our time unforgettable. The early starts, the ants in the swag and the exhaustion of the climbs just made it strangely perfect

I would highly recommend doing your outback tour with Mulgas, it will exceed your expectations! My guide Liv was outstanding, full of energy, had the best playlists waking us up to make the most of the day and all round made my time on the trip stress and worry free. Liv was always there to give us all the knowledge we wanted and answering all our questions. The groups are a good size too, plenty of fellow solo travellers and everyone is so welcoming too!

I was apprehensive about the trip ahead, heading to the red centre in the summer, during a heatwave...I thought it would be unbearable. And the heat was crazy! But the experience was so worth while and so well managed. Janner was the best tour guide I could have imagined. He ensured the whole trip ran smoothly, without stress or any surprises. He kept us well informed, well fed and well educated on the area and history etc. We were blown away by how hard he worked at all hours! The desert sunrises and sunsets were worth the long hours. The swags were a totally unique experience, and the best way to emerse totally into setting. Cannot recommend this enough to anyone looking for some adventure and a taste of the red center. Had a great time whilst on tour. James was great! travellers on the tour were amazing, made friends with some of ‘em and even at this point we’re still in touched with some of the tripper. I did the 5 days tour, prolly you can add winery tour on any of the days otherwise it was an awesome adventure.

Yeah taking part in that tour was like the best decision I could have possibly made! It was seriously just awesome, especially the walk through the King's Canyon and the sleeping under the stars, the campfires and all that. Our tour guide was also great and it was just so obvious how much he loved his job and the whole area around Alice Springs! I would give the tour a 5 out of 5, that's for sure! And would definitely do it again, anytime :-)
