Today is an easy day as we depart Darwin mid morning on a greyhound bus bound for Alice Springs where we arrive the next morning and check into the YHA Hostel. Rest of the day is free.

Day 3 - Ayers Rock
Your Outback Journey of a Lifetime starts at 6am from Alice Springs or around 1pm pickup at Ayers Rock Airport. We enjoy a fascinating road-trip to Uluru! Once the whole group is together, we explore the Cultural Centre, do a guided walk at Uluru, and enjoy a spectacular Uluru sunset with bubbly wine. Rest with a hot shower and a wholesome meal back at camp, then it’s an unforgettable sleep under the desert stars. Includes Lunch and Dinner.

Day 4 - Ayers Rock to Kata Tjuta National Park
Early breakfast before going to Kata Tjuta for a stunning Uluru sunrise. Hike through the Valley of the Winds, and feast on a refreshing lunch. Travel through the Outback, viewing the George Gill Range and more, before camping at Kings Creek Station. Here enjoy a real Aussie BBQ by a campfire, under those beautiful stars! Includes Breakfast, Lunch, dinner and refreshments.

Day 5 - Kata Tjuta National Park to Curtin Springs
After breakfast go to incredible Kings Canyon, and hike around the famous Rim Walk. Relax in the peaceful desert oasis, the Garden of Eden. Then back to Kings Creek Station for a relax, swim, or helicopter ride (charges apply). That night escape to our private bush camp at Curtin Springs Station. Capture sunset views of Mt Conner and enjoy your final night on tour, under the outback stars. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, dinner and refreshments.

What should I pack?
Depending on where in Australia or New Zealand you decide to visit, your luggage will vary. For exact information please visit the "What to bring" section of each tour page.
What immunisations do I need?
For the latest information on immunisations, we strongly recommend you or contact the Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centre (www.traveldoctor.com.au) to discuss health requirements for your trip. They will advise you about appropriate inoculations.
Do I need to take any medical supplies?
It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How much luggage can I take?
We don't have an exact policy when it comes to luggage though we just ask our customers to be mindful that we have limited space. Generally we recommend people to bring a large backpack/suitcase with all their gear and another smaller backpack to keep on the bus and hold their daily items ( phone, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc ) and which they used to take on walks etc. If you have a lot of luggage is best to leave the things you don't need at your hotel/hostel where they will store it for free.
Where can I store my luggage whilst on tour?
During the tour your main luggage will be stored in our trailer. This trailer is always locked however we cannot guarantee the complete safety of your gear from theft or damage. This is why it is so important to purchase a good travel insurance. If you need to store your luggage whilst away on tour, this can be done through your accommodation. Most hostel and hotels will store your luggage safely free of charge.
Will I be able to do any laundry whilst on tour?
For camping tours there will be no time to do laundry. However, for longer cross country tours involving hostel or hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to wash your clothes.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
For all camping tours require you to have a sleeping bag. If you don't have one they may be available for hire via the "join tour" button.
How fit do I need to be?
Our tours are made to be fun, informative and active and can be enjoyed by anyone with a moderate degree of fitness and agility. Travellers should be comfortable with hiking/walking up to 5km each day.
Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Can I get online whilst travelling?
For tours incorporating hostel/hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to use wireless internet or use of nearby internet cafe. If you have a mobile plan with internet then that should be ok except for more remote regions. This will vary from tour to tour so please contact us directly for more accurate information.
Will I be able to use my mobile whilst on tour?
You can use your mobile while touring in Australia or New Zealand, but coverage may be limited in remote areas. For best connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card or an international roaming plan.

Do I have to book this tour online?
Definitely not. Our website is designed to make is easy and convenient for you to schedule your tour. However we understand sometimes its nice to talk to someone directly. So by all means give us a call and we can organise your trip over the phone.
If I book more than one tour can I get a discount?
Absolutely! If you are booking multiple tours then we may be able to offer you a discount. Send us an email at info@lostinaustralia.org and let us know what you thinking of doing and we can put together a price for you.Also, be sure to look out for monthly specials on tours. We often have some great bargains.
How do I know when a tour is available?
You can check the departure dates of tours by using our calendar on the top right hand corner of the tour page. This will tell you what days the tour departs. For availability of seats please contact us directly at info@lostinaustralia.org or call us.
Can I just do a section of this tour and not the whole trip?
Unfortunately it is not possible to only do a part of the tour. Passengers generally need to stay with the tour from start to finish.However, drop off locations at the end of the tour made me negotiated.
Does the tour price include flights?
No. Tour prices do not include any travel arrangements other than for the duration of the tour itself. If you need assistance with booking flights or buses our travel team and certainly help - Just ask!
How far in advance do I need to book my tour?
As a rule of thumb we generally say AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to departure, this will usually get you a seat on the date you want. That being said, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available at the time of your booking so, if you can, book as soon as possible. Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. If you know when you'd like to travel, please contact us and we will let you know if you need to book soon or if you have time.
If I make a deposit only, when will I need to pay the balance?
Balance on tours need to be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. Failure to do so could result is the cancellation of your seat with a fee charged. If you need more time to clear your balance then let us know ASAP and arrangements can be made.
Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
What does "Paid Locally" mean?
Some tours require you to pay national park fees directly, in cash, to the tour guide on the morning of departure. Rest assured this will be subtracted from the tour price when reserving your tour.
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.
Whilst on tour
What type of tent will I get?
Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. However, most Uluru tours we try and encourage the use of swags and mattress rather than tents. This is the ideal way to camp in the centre of Australia; Around a campfire, under the stars!
What will the food be like?
Our emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and our meals are nutritious and varied on these tours. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, fruits, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve picnic sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner - This can vary between pastas, bbqs, rices and other hearty food to keep you energized! We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops. Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included.
Can you cater of special diets?
We can certain cater for most dietary needs. Please advise us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made. For travellers with more extreme diets we may ask that you bring along additional snacks.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.
What form of vehicle do we use?
For our Uluru Tours we toss between a Troop Carrier 4WD Landcruise and a 4WD Mini bus. This depends on the size of the group and the amount of days we are out in the park. Each tour varies so please refer to your tour info panel on the top right hand side of the page.
Are there days where we travel for a long time?
During the first day we usually do a couple of hours driving to get out of the city and into the country side. However, once in the national parks, trips between attractions usually take between 30minutes to an hour.For tours heading up to Darwin or down to Adelaide, expect periods where we drive for a few hours at a time. Australia is enormous and the distance between towns and attractions can be quite large. But don't worry, we take plenty of breaks so your able to stretch and move about.For more accurate information please see tour itineraries.
What will the weather be like?
Between the months of April and August Central Australia is quite cold so be sure to bring warm clothing. Temperatures range from about 20c during the day right down to 2c at night.Between October and March temperature are warm, so light clothing during the day is ok. However, night times can still be quite cool so its wise to bring light winter clothing for extra warm.

Went on the Darwin to Uluru tour. It was absolutely stunning. We spent the first days swimming in waterfalls and lazy rivers. Discovered the real Outback and its famous spots. From Uluru we slept under the stars and I’ve never stars as beautiful as this. We had two amazing guides Nat and Tim. I would 100% recommend doing this tour.

Stunning experience! Our guide Andrew made sure everyone had a good time and was well taken care of. The Rock-to-Rock tour is filled with amazing hikes and views. To sleep you get a Swag and it is surprisingly comfortable - getting to enjoy the stars while falling asleep is a huge plus. Great group, playing games around the fireplace in the evening and a lot of interesting information about the places we visited.

This is actually such an amazing company to go on a tour with! They are a family business (let's support the little locals) that goes above and beyond to provide a true Australian experience. Finished the Rock to Rock tour a week ago. Absolutely fantastic tour and worth every penny. We had Nat as our guide who was so cool and chill and we really enjoyed her dry sense of humour. I loved our front seat chats and cooking on the campfire. Perfect way to end our Australia journey. The food was fab and plenty of it. The experience of sleeping outside with the amazing views of the stars above was so special. We had the best spots to watch sunset and sunrise at Uluru. Ah it was just great. Our guide Olivia was absolutely amazing! This trip was a bit challenging since sleeping outdoors was something quite new to me, but it turned out to be one of those unforgettable and romantic adventures. We had such a fun team, and I really enjoyed every moment surrounded by nature. Olivia made the whole experience even better with all the little activities she planned for us. I had both Phoebe and Liv as our guides — Phoebe for the Derwin to Alice Springs section, and Liv for the rock tour — and they were both absolutely fantastic!
They kept everything light-hearted and fun while also being incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the local culture. They made sure everyone was comfortable at all times, went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable, and were always happy to stop if we wanted to spot any wildlife along the way.

A beautiful and at times challenging, but ultimately really fun trip! The views of Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa we got to see were nothing but breathtaking and the hikes we undertook were never over challenging but still provided beautiful sights. Our guide Nat was very knowledgable of the history and significance of the area and was also very patient with our group.
Sleeping in swags maybe confronting for some but I thought it really added to the experience. Don’t let it scare you off!

Loved the Darwin to Uluru ultimate tour with Phoebe and Liv, highlights were kings canyon hike, Uluru sunset, swimming at Edith falls and Daly Waters pub. Swag camping was a really special experience, especially seeing a lightning storm in the distance. Don’t be put off by the bush camp, this was 100% a highlight, even the toilet! We were really impressed by the food in the camping part of the tour, I’m gluten free and was looked after very well. Liv was so knowledgeable about the area and a great storyteller, and she always made sure everyone felt included. Be prepared for early starts, long drives and hot weather, but it’s worth it! I joined the 4-night, 3-day Mulgas Adventures tour, and it was one of the best travel decisions I’ve made. When planning my trip, I was torn between staying in the Yulara apartments or going with Mulgas. At first, I leaned toward the apartments because I was worried about bugs and wasn’t sure how I’d feel about sleeping outdoors. But wow — am I glad I changed my mind!
Sleeping in swags under the stars was so much better than I ever expected. It completely transformed my experience. I would have missed out on so many special moments if I’d stayed in a hotel — things like cooking together as a group, collecting firewood, sharing stories, and playing games around the bonfire. Those experiences ended up being some of the absolute highlights of my trip.
The entire Mulgas experience was fantastic from start to finish. Our guide, Phoebe, was knowledgeable, relaxed, and an all-round superstar. From the early morning starts to the stunning hikes and those unforgettable views, everything was perfectly organized yet still felt easygoing and fun. The group dynamic was wonderful — we bonded over meals, hikes, bus rides, and plenty of laughter.
The food was plentiful and surprisingly delicious, and the air-conditioned bus was a welcome break from the October heat. If you’re visiting at that time of year, I’d recommend bringing a hat with a net and a good-sized water bottle.
If you’re undecided like I was, definitely choose Mulgas. Sleeping outdoors in swags beneath that dazzling night sky is something you’ll never forget — it’s truly the best way to experience the outback.

I joined the Uluru-Kata Tjuta trip with both of my parents. They had booked it, so I had no idea what to expect. Still this trip managed to exceed my expectations! Stunning nature, connection with fellow travelers and plenty of adventure. It was like nothing I ever experienced before.
Our tourguide Lachie was awesome as well, lots of great stories, horrible dad jokes and very capable when my mom injured herself on one of the walks. If you have the chance, go!

We honestly had the time of our lives on the Rock to Rock tour, it was absolutely magical!!! Huge shoutout to our tour guide Lachie, he worked so hard all day every day to make our experience so incredible, also made everything super convenient and easy for us. I'll start by saying what an amazing experience! I did the 7 day tour with Mulgas, merging the darwin to alice springs and the outback tour and it did not disappoint! The darwin to alice tour was incredible as it gave me the chance to road trip the NT territory without having to go alone! I met amazing people and loved every second- Phil was my tour guide and was the most fun, giving us an amazing experience- Thank you!! Then I did the outback which was stunning! Some breathtaking hikes and camping under the stars, all lead by Meg who was so knowledgeable, answering my many questions all with a smile! Laura was an incredible tour guide. I’m so glad I happened to do a tour with mulgas. The group we were with had a great dynamic together which made the trip so much fun, this was made possible by Laura’s thoughtful and consistent team building, clever tasks and games to get us to interact. I loved getting up so early to catch the sunrises and I’m so glad she made us do it because it might not have happened without her! I really appreciated the accurate and respectful way she shared knowledge of aboriginal history with the group instead of glossing over anything and also informing us how to be respectful of the land and aware of what was needed at what time to continue to do so so that we could enjoy the beautiful places we visited and know the significance of them to aboriginal people. Had a wonderful 7-day tour from Darwin to Uluru! For the first three days we had CJ as our guide who had an amazing energy and passion for the area. She knew so much of the area and we had so much fun exploring the waterfalls and swimming areas from Darwin too Alice Springs. For the Uluru part we had Phil as our guide and he definitely lived up to all the expectations for the trip! We enjoyed the swag camping and the wonders of the Outback! They say it’s the places you go and the people you meet. Well thankfully this trip was both! From the moment we landed at Ayers Rock we were made feel settled with our tour guide Laura!
While we were blessed with the friendly and humorous crowd onboard our trip l, it wouldn’t have came together without the help of Laura! She really was the main reason for our trip being 5 stars! She makes the tour feel like it’s her first and her last, giving 100% every second of the journey! Her enthusiasm and energy make every activity so enjoyable! Even with the rain she turned it on its head a made it a positive! You could tell she loves the tour, history and people at Ayers Rock and she really instills that into the camp goers from the moment you arrive!
The activities were excellent and I really feel like I had the ‘Aussie’ camping experience in Uluru! I will 100% be recommending this to friends! Mulgas leaves no stone unturned and little things like snacks waiting for you on your seats on arrival really just set the tone for an amazing tour where you are really taken care of as well as being fed like kings and queens for every meal ! This is hands down the best tour I’ve ever been on!! Our guide Laura was phenomenal - so knowledgeable, friendly and organised!! Our group bonded quickly and we all loved the hikes, watching sunrise/sunsets at amazing view points, sitting around the campfire each night and taking in the beautiful night sky!! Laura always went the extra mile for us, keeping us fed & hydrated, and giving as much information about the area and the culture. We even loved the cooking, cleaning, firewood collecting, rolling swags, drop toilets etc.!! You definitely have to be prepared to get your hands dirty on this trip and enjoy the chaos!! If you want an awesome way to explore Uluṟu, Kata Tjuṯa, Kings Canyon and experience a true outback experience, then this is the way to go!! This trip exceeded my expectations on so many levels. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with breathtaking sceneries and walks. I loved that we got to see not only Ayers Rock but also Kata Tjuta and King's Canyon.
Sleeping under the stars was magical, and the moments shared around the fire were truly special - I especially loved the bush camp on the last day!
Leelee was an exceptional guide, passionate about her job and dedicated. I have lived in Australia for a few years and have wanted to visit Uluru for a long as I remember. All of my Irish friends in Sydney recommended Mulgas and I can see why. James was a brilliant guide in every sense of the word. He explained everything clearly, welcomed questions, made everyone’s contributions feel valid, gave loads of information on the local area and customs, and just got on with everyone so equally which is easier said than done! One of my highlights was how we woke up every morning. Rather than setting an alarm, James got up before the group each day and played chilled songs to gently bring us all out of our slumber, while he unassumingly got us set up for another brilliant day. 10/10 experience, both with Mulgas and with James. Had such a lovely time and would recommend to everyone

Such an incredible few days! Myself and my partner went with some friends of ours and we wouldn't have changed a thing. From the moment we were collected at the airport to the second we left, everything was so excellently taken care of. Without question one of, if not the best, things I did in my 5 weeks in Australia. Visiting the Red Centre was high on my bucket list and I’m so glad I chose to experience it with Mulgas. If you’re young or a solo traveller/backpacker then this is definitely the tour to go on. It covers all of the best sites to see in the Red centre, the food and camping was great and the itinerary is well thought out. In particular, a big shout out to our guides CJ and Leelee who worked really hard to make the trip as fun and interesting as possible. Really admire their ability to keep positive vibes going at all times and chat with everyone, even though the days are very long and tiring! Yes you have to help with cooking, washing up and other tasks, but when shared between all of the group members, it really isn’t a hardship and it all adds to the experience. Sleeping in a swag was better than I thought it was going to be - surprisingly comfortable and we were lucky to have incredible views of the stars. One thing to consider if you travel in April is that the flies can be hard work at times, however the weather was perfect and you avoid the busy season winter months so overall it was probably a price worth paying! Highly recommend this to other solo travellers and backpackers, and it’s nice to support a family owned local business!

Simon and Lee Lee were my guides and they were phenomenal!! They were so accommodating and really looked after us (even made us brekkie in bed). Not only were they extremely knowledgeable about the culture of the land but were respectful of the nature. Food was amazing, plentiful and accommodated for my veganism. Hikes, sunrises, sunsets were stunning. Camping under the stars was unreal. Can’t recommend this tour enough. Nothing like it.

This tour was gorgeous and well put together. Olivia (Liv) was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide who was kind but also ran the trip efficiently and softly encouraged everyone to get to know each other/get out of their comfort zones. I really enjoyed the hikes - I only wish we could’ve gone on longer hikes or maybe done two shorter hikes in a day, but I understand we are limited by the daytime heat and that many areas are off-limits for non-indigenous folks. The stars were one of my favorite parts of the trip, though the sunrises/sunsets were pretty unbeatable as well. Also, do yourself a favor and bring a fly net (even in spring)!!

If you are planning a trip to see Uluṟu, Kata Tjuṯa and Kings Canyon, I would highly recommend booking with Mulgas Adventures! Our guide Jess was amazing, informed us of activities whilst being very relaxed, we didn’t feel rushed and the tour wasn’t too structured.
I don’t think you would see or experience half the sights we witnessed if you booked with another company.
Food was fab, camel burgers a highlight! Sleeping in a swag under the stars was very special.

An amazing experience as expected! I’ve waited years to do this trip and it didn’t not disappoint. Alex our tour guide was absolutely outstanding, fun and knowledgeable!
The locations visited were insanely beautiful, and the campsites were super well equipped, finishing up with a proper bush camp on our last night.
Meals are great and there’s always more than enough, same with water and snacks (I did bring a few extras but cookies, fruits, & nut bars were given by our tour guide before and after every hike).
Absolutely recommended and again shout to Alex who’s a legend! Keen to do another tour.

I was looking in the internet an organized tour for Ayers Rock and when I found the Mulgas' one I was a bit scared to go because I was alone. I'm grateful I did it because I found amazing people! I have to say that Alex (the guide) was great! He loves what he does and he made sure we always felt good in what we were doing. I've never done camping before (and it's probably not my favourite thing) but I must admit that experiencing the outback in the way this tour allows you to experience it, it's wonderful. Being able to sleep with friends under the stars in the middle of nowhere it's something you have to do once in a life! I don't know what else to say if not thank you all! Grazie

It was an immersive experience, where everyone got involved with cooking cleaning and collecting firewood. The views were stunning and the trip was planned very well, everything ran to schedule. Our flight in was delayed, so we missed the base walk around Uluru on the first day, but our tour guide Olivia was great and made time for us to do the base walk on the last day. I made some life long friends and definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a bit of an adventure. Our tour guide Olivia was fantastic! She played some great music and shared some interesting facts and stories about the local area with us.

We have booked the trip online and had an once in a lifetime experience. The tour guide picks you up either in Alice Springs or Ayers Rock Airport (I would highly recommend flying to Ayers Rock Airport). The camps sites are really nice and the swags are cosy. The walks are not too long and the views are stunning. Sunrise and sunset at Uluru will take your breath away. Moreover, you will learn a lot about the indigenous peoples’ culture. If you’re lucky you will have Liv as your guide :) She is lovely and spreads positive vibes all the time. As an expert in indigenous peoples‘ culture, in driving, as a cook and as the tour DJ she makes the experience even more special.

Highlight was the kings canyon walk which is probably the best walk we have ever done!

This was a great trip! Didn’t know what to expect going into it and was happily surprised. Somehow each day got better than the last! There were some issues with the bus but it was resolved as quick as possible and didn’t impact my experience at all. Alex was a great guide and handled all the bumps very well while ensuring we had a good time. Beautiful views and good campsites! Would definitely recommend.

An absolutely amazing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Laura our tour guide was fantastic and does an exceptional job at making everyone feel involved as well as ensuring that we can see and do as much as possible on the tour.
I enjoyed sitting round the camp fire at night with everyone whilst Laura played her guitar and sang for us all which I found very relaxing and therapeutic.

Absolutely awesome trip, a must do in Australia. Every hike and view was stunning, and being outback, sleeping under the beautiful stars makes it so much better.
You think you come to see Uluru, but that's not even the nicest thing to see (It's stunning don't get me wrong). The milky way, the sunsets and sunrises, Kata Tjuta and King's Canyon, enjoying the company of group members from all over the world, the whole experience is great, mainly thanks to the very good organization.
The group was awesome as well, almost only young backpackers. The spirit was great, everyone mixed in, and the evenings around the fire were very enjoyable.
Janner was just an incredible guide, bringing us so much knowledge, answering precisely every question, very easy-going and nice. He gave us so much comfort during the trip (like nice fresh fruits at the end of hikes, perfectly prepared dinners...), I wasn't expecting it.
The food was very good as well, there were more than enough for everyone, snacks in the hikes, and it was very good for vegans too !
I could write a lot more about it, my head is full of great souvenirs, thank you so much !

She had clear knowledge of the area and managed to get us all to each location early enough that the heat did not cause any issues. She was totally trustworthy and her endless supply of energy made the trip that much more enjoyable.

Great way to see the real outback, in a rugged off-roading truck with a small, adventure-ready group. My friend and I really enjoyed the trip. The group size was good. There were 16 to start with and after the 2nd night there was just my friend and I and Sean.
Sean was excellent. The food that was prepared and we ate was great. Impressive what can be cooked in pots and camp ovens. And plentiful food.
Good that we could contribute on meal prep if we wanted. The water container also was a good idea to have on board. For all to share.
The camping spots were also great night 1 & 2 camps set away from everyone else – great. Night 3 – Glen Helen in a camp site – good as facilities were there if you needed them.
4th night fantastic – camping in a beaut spot under the stars ….. it was an adventure getting to the camp site as we were on dirt roads and seeing real interesting areas.
The nights and mornings were very cold – just like where I live (Goulburn NSW) so the s/bag , blankets etc were very much needed and were great
Personally (part of going on this camping trip it offered swags) I wanted to sleep in a swag – which I did on night 1 & 4. Enjoyed that. Can I say as I am 6’3” the swag I had was a little short so that was a small issue for me. But not for others not so tall I’m sure.
We were amazed at the roads (quite rough) but the distances you travel in that part of Australia.
The meeting with Craig on day 5 (indigenous fellow) was so interesting and great part of the tour.
On your website we had a little trouble in finding a contact (by telephone – which we did eventually) so as to confirm the booking etc as we were also booking other activities + accom while we were holidaying in Ulura & Alice Springs. The camping trip was the reason we holiday in that area and we built the rest of the holiday around the camping.
