Join us on a Whitsunday tour and explore the 74 islands that make up this stunning archipelago are really the tips of mountain tops jutting out from the Coral Sea, and from their sandy fringes the ocean spreads towards the horizon in beautiful shades of crystal, aqua, blue and indigo.

Of the numerous stunning beaches and secluded bays, Whitehaven Beach stands out for its pure white silica sand. It is undoubtedly the finest beach in the Whitsundays, and possibly one of the finest in the world.
Airlie Beach, on the mainland, is the coastal hub and major gateway to the islands. Only seven of the islands have tourist resorts – catering to every budget and whim from the basic accommodation at Hook Island to the exclusive luxury of Hayman Island. Fraser Island was my favourite. We drove the 4WD on the beach and I could not believe this was real. Lake McKenzie also — the water is so clear it looks like someone has filled it with glass. I would tell every German traveller coming to Australia to do this package. It is worth every dollar.

Man muss sich um nichts kümmern und kann einfach genießen. Für jemanden der alleine reist ist das ein riesiger Vorteil.Fraser Island war absolut unglaublich. Der Lake McKenzie hat ein Wasser so klar, dass man kaum glauben kann, dass es echt ist. Und die Whitsundays — ich habe keine Worte dafür. Whitehaven Beach muss man einfach gesehen haben. Ich empfehle dieses Paket jedem der Australien bereisen möchte, ohne sich um die Logistik zu kümmern.

The tour highlights are exactly as described. K'gari was a proper adventure — driving 4WDs along 75 Mile Beach, swimming in Lake McKenzie, camping under the stars. The Whitsundays sailing was three days of pure bliss. And the Great Barrier Reef, even for someone who's snorkelled in a fair few places, was genuinely awe-inspiring. The guides across all the tours were knowledgeable and enthusiastic without being overbearing.
