It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How much luggage can I take?
We don't have an exact policy when it comes to luggage though we just ask our customers to be mindful that we have limited space. Generally we recommend people to bring a large backpack/suitcase with all their gear and another smaller backpack to keep on the bus and hold their daily items ( phone, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc ) and which they used to take on walks etc. If you have a lot of luggage is best to leave the things you don't need at your hotel/hostel where they will store it for free.
Where can I store my luggage whilst on tour?
During the tour your main luggage will be stored in our trailer. This trailer is always locked however we cannot guarantee the complete safety of your gear from theft or damage. This is why it is so important to purchase a good travel insurance. If you need to store your luggage whilst away on tour, this can be done through your accommodation. Most hostel and hotels will store your luggage safely free of charge.

Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Can I get online whilst travelling?
For tours incorporating hostel/hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to use wireless internet or use of nearby internet cafe. If you have a mobile plan with internet then that should be ok except for more remote regions. This will vary from tour to tour so please contact us directly for more accurate information.

Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
What does "Paid Locally" mean?
Some tours require you to pay national park fees directly, in cash, to the tour guide on the morning of departure. Rest assured this will be subtracted from the tour price when reserving your tour.
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.
Whilst on tour
What type of tent will I get?
Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. However, most Uluru tours we try and encourage the use of swags and mattress rather than tents. This is the ideal way to camp in the centre of Australia; Around a campfire, under the stars!
What will the food be like?
Our emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and our meals are nutritious and varied on these tours. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, fruits, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve picnic sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner - This can vary between pastas, bbqs, rices and other hearty food to keep you energized! We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops. Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included.
Can you cater of special diets?
We can certain cater for most dietary needs. Please advise us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made. For travellers with more extreme diets we may ask that you bring along additional snacks.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.
Are there days where we travel for a long time?
During the first day we usually do a couple of hours driving to get out of the city and into the country side. However, once in the national parks, trips between attractions usually take between 30minutes to an hour. For tours heading up to Darwin or down to Adelaide, expect periods where we drive for a few hours at a time. Australia is enormous and the distance between towns and attractions can be quite large. But don't worry, we take plenty of breaks so your able to stretch and move about. For more accurate information please see tour itineraries.
What will the weather be like?
Between the months of April and August Central Australia is quite cold so be sure to bring warm clothing. Temperatures range from about 20c during the day right down to 2c at night.Between October and March temperature are warm, so light clothing during the day is ok. However, night times can still be quite cool so its wise to bring light winter clothing for extra warm.
Where do I meet the tour?
For pick up times and locations, please check out the "Start/Finish" section directly under the itinerary. Here we list everywhere we can pick up from and their respective times. There is a lot of information here to help you plan your flights and arrival. Please review careful as these can vary from tour to tour.
What is the weather like in Western Australia?
WA is Australia’s largest state, comprising one-third of its land mass. In the north much of the landscape is barren. The Great Sandy Desert fringes the central-west coast. The Nullarbor, a vast dry plain, sweeps across the south and over the border into South Australia (SA). The southwestern corner of the state is a fertile area of forest and vineyards, and is only small in comparison to the size of the rest of WA.Interesting variations in landscape include the Kimberley in the extreme north of the state, a wild and rugged area with a convoluted coastline and stunning inland gorges. The Pilbara, in the northwest, is magnificent ancient-rock and gorge country from which the state derives vast mineral wealth. Away from the coast most of WA is simply a huge empty stretch of outback: along with the Nullarbor Plain and the Great Sandy Desert, the Gibson and Great Victoria Deserts cover much of the state. It’s tropical in the north, where the Dry and Wet seasons replace winter and summer. The Dry lasts from June to August and the Wet from December to February, with monsoonal rain falling from January onwards. The rain can render roads impassable and Port Hedland weathers a serious cyclone at least every two years. In the interior the climate is semi-arid and arid. The southwest of WA is temperate. It’s often above 25°C here while the average temperature along the Kimberley coast is a heavenly 28°C. Up in the Pilbara temperatures can soar to an enthusiasm-depleting 48°C.
Reviews
“West Australia is best Australia”
Had a time and laugh. Trip is jam packed with things to see. They are very far apart so a lot of the trip is driving. However, very much worth it!
Had an amazing group and good fun with the lead Monty who worked tirelessly during the trip.
Monty was a man who can take you anywhere in his van. With beaches of gold and murder tales of old. There was no chance to run out of fun.
Be warned, some hostels are basic, but you will be in the middle of nowhere often to see the amazing sites and lounge around on beaches not the hostel.
If I could do it all again like new I would.
“WA Coast Perth to Exmouth Packaged Beautifully”
My wife & I had wanted to do this part of the Australian coast for sometime and when a friend recommended this trip we thought, let's do it!
We were not disappointed and the trip exceeded all expectations.
Our guide, Bethany was brilliant giving us inciteful information with great stops along the way in both directions.
The Whale Sharks and Mantra Ray tours were also a highlight.
Would happily recommend.
“The best coast”
We loved our holiday, made new friends and seen a lot of our beautiful country with Geoff our tour guide really nice guy, clearly loves his job. Highly recommend.
“An unforgettable trip!”
I have done a few tours in Australia (East Coast) but this West Coast tour was by far one of the highlights of my trip and it is all thanks to Geoff!! Everything was so efficient and Geoff really gave it his all to ensure everyone was having the best time. I will never forget this experience and I highly recommend doing this trip whether you are a solo traveller (like myself) or with friends. You will have the best time and will come out of the tour feeling inspired and grateful that you got to be part of a truly surreal experience! Thank you again Geoff, it’s been unforgettable
“Excellent tour!”
What a amazing trip! I loved every minute of it.
We have seen an enormous amount of different landscapes in this one week..
The hostels we stayed in were clean and had everything we needed.
The food was nutritious, and easy to prepare. All special dietary wishes were taken into consideration, glutenfree, veggie and vegan.
We had a lovely group, all the ages between 20 and 85 and we all connected more than fine. We had lots of fun doing this trip. The option of taking an easier trail was always there for whoever needed that.
Our guide, Geoff is the best guide you can imagine. He made sure we would get to all the beautiful spots on the right time. He explained all about the country, the indigenous inhabitants, the culture, the landscapes etc. He is very knowledgeable and has all the patience in the world to answer our questions.
Not only is he friendly, strict with timing (so all can go smooth and well), he touched our hearts with his personal stories and his wise words about living your best life.
I can highly recommend taking this tour and wish for you to get Geoff as your guide.

“Great way to get to know the beauty of the West Coast”
Yesterday I came back from the 7 Day Exmouth Explorer Tour - tired, but very happy and content.
It was one of the best tours, I ever went on. A week full of highlights with great people and a passionate guide.
You can tell, that Geoff not only loves, what he does, but is furthermore dedicated to give everyone the best experience possible. He drove us savely from Perth to Exmouth and back, shared his knowledge and his life story with us and was always positive and full of good energy, making this tour truly memorable.
I enjoyed every day of the tour, even the sixth, which consits mostly of driving.
Oftentimes I didn't really notice, what distances we traveled and how many hours we spent on the bus, because of the interesting facts and stories, the good atmosphere in the bus and the beautiful landscapes, I could see through the windows.
I am thankful to Geoff for recommending the snorkeling-tours in Coral Bay and Exmouth.
Swimming first with Manta Rays and the next day with Whale Sharks were both unforgettable experiences.
My personal highlight was seeing dolphins up close at the Monkey Mia Resort - truly magical.
But I also enjoyed the other activities like the hike at the Z-Bend-River-Trail or experiencing sun rise at Nature's Window.
If you only have a certain amount of time, don't want to travel on your own and want to enjoy the beauty of the West Coast, I can definetly recommend this tour.
“Best trip ever!”
Just came back from the trip as a solo traveller and had the best week ever. Such an amazing experience to meet new people and explore the beautiful places of the west coast. Geoff was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable about the places we visited but also a great person. He made us all feel comfortable, inspired, and ensured we had the best time. Can’t recommend this trip enough!
“Living life on the west coast”
Wazzup guys,
Just came back from that awesome trip on the west coast. This trip and the places we visited along proved to me that WA is the most beautiful state of Australia. During the trip you get the perfect mixture of national parks, opportunities to experience marine life and lovely people. I created good memories and made great friends in just 7 days. Big recommendation!
And special shoutout to the amazing guide we had, Geoff! Wouldn’t have been the same without him, honestly.
Cheers
“Perth - Exmouth return - loved it!”
Did the 7 day Perth - Exmouth return and it was amazing! Our tour guide was Monty and he was brilliant. Would definitely recommend!
“Awesome adventure”
The most amazing experience. Our tour guide Geoff was brilliant and made sure we jam packed our time together with as many opportunities and experiences as possible! Would 100% recommend to anyone to book. The scenery is actually breath taking, it was very well organised and the food was very tasty!
“Best way to see the West Coast!”
This 7-day tour was an incredible way to explore some of the most stunning and remote parts of Western Australia. From the Pinnacles to Monkey Mia to swimming at Ningaloo Reef—each destination offered something unique and beautiful.
Our guide Doug was a true standout. He was extremely knowledgeable, well-organized, and created a fun, inclusive vibe for everyone. He also went out of his way to accommodate my dietary needs, which made a huge difference.
The bus rides are long and the accommodations are basic, but if you embrace that you’ll have a fantasic time. Highly recommend!
“Amazing WA trip!”
Beth made this 7 day trip through WA unforgettable and fun! With this tour I was able to see all the spots I wanted to in WA. Kalbarri national park, Coral Beach and all the whales in Exmouth! Can recommend 5/5
“Amazing tour”
This trip was so much fun!! Everything was perfectly planned out, all of the stops and activities were so much fun and our tour guide Beth made the trip even better! She was funny, informative and very helpful! Definitely recommend this trip if you want to try and see as much of the west coast as you can in a short time, and if you are a solo traveller!
“Brilliant tour”
We really enjoyed our tour up to Exmouth. Our tour guide, Beth, was brilliant and took us to some lovely sunrise and sunset spots. She was always smiley and keen for adventures and looked after the group well. When the weather made the original plans challenging she came up with fun alternatives and snorkelling with her on the Ningaloo Reef was good fun. I loved the remote places we went to and the beautiful scenery. Highlights from this trip were the beautiful colours in the landscape, meeting nice people on the tour, snorkelling and so many sunrises/sunsets to enjoy.
“The Beautiful Western of Australia”
Unforgettable 7-day trip from Perth to Exmouth (and back)!
The tour was simply fantastic – thanks mainly to our great guide Beth! She was incredibly friendly, well informed and top organized. You felt comfortable and in good hands from the first moment. Despite the long journeys Beth mastered everything confidently, took regular breaks and kept the mood high with her positive nature. She also showed us many beautiful places. A big thank you for this unforgettable trip – again at any time!
“Really good trip”
My wife and I went on this tour and really enjoyed the experience there were only 11 of us and I was the only male. Our tour guide ,driver, chef was called Beth she was absolutely brilliant giving really great information about the destinations and cooking and driving it was a really good experience we had never slept in backpacker hostels before so we were a little apprehensive but it worked out well in the the only thing we could fault was the minibus had seen better days had a consistent whims from the back axle and had seen better days no legroom and a bone shaker
“best experience! Complete tour and best guide Beth”
Incredible experience to do alone or with your friends. The tour is complete, Beth stops in thousands of iconic places, drives very well and makes you feel safe on every journey, it also does not get heavy because it stops to rest a lot!
All the delicious and very healthy food! I'm gluten free and there were options for me too! I really recommend it, for those who want to know the WA without worrying about having to drive. Thank you Beth for being our guide
“Amazing week!”
I would highly recommend this trip, it’s full of adventure and stunning views. Our tour guide Geoff was great, he was extremely knowledgable, interesting and always willing to help and make sure everyone was having a good time. We all got on together so well as a group and have gone away with no friends.
“Amazing Tour!”
One of the best tours I've been on, would highly recommend! Our guide Jeff was amazing and put so much effort into making sure everyone had a great time! The wildlife you'll see is some of the best in the world, as well as the sunrises and sunsets! We went in early September and we were lucky enough to swim with whale sharks, humpbacks and Manta rays! Be prepared for lots of driving but the tour is great value for money and definitely worth it!
“Great itinerary and great experience”
This was a great itinerary and we saw lots of fantastic scenery and wildlife. It was fairly fast paced with long days which allowed us to get travel a fair distance. We had 14 on the bus which was a good size with a good group. We did the private rooms option. Cost effective with most meals included however they were basic with cereal and toast for breakfast and wraps for lunch but at least it was healthy. Geoff was our guide and he was fantastic, been on many tours and he is one of the best. Very dedicated, works extremely hard and just a genuine nice guy.
“Amazing, even if you're older”
This was an incredible experience of a lifetime, ticking many bucket list items after travelling to loads of different special destinations in the past.
In addition to seeing so many beautiful locations along the west coast of Oz, the highlights for me were definitely the two snorkelling tours. Swimming with the Manta Rays and an amazing experience of being just a couple of metres above a Tiger Shark in Coral Bay, followed by the awesome humpback whales and whale sharks trip in Ningaloo will be eternally etched in my mind as a peak experience!
Being a solo traveller in my early 60's, the private accommodation option suited me best and the group of 14 people on the tour were great and bonded really well together.
The Ningaloo whale shark tour was physically challenging, but definitely worth it, and the crew on board [especially Jake on the Jazz 2 boat Ningaloo Marine Interactions] was incredibly helpful in making the day possible by hauling me back on the boat after each snorkel!
Finally, I want to pay tribute to our amazing tour guide and driver Geoff of Autopia Tours. He is very special and truly puts his whole heart and soul into making this the best experience for all of us, at so many levels. Be prepared for lots of early morning starts and long drives, but be assured of his heartfelt passion for you to have your best experience and to give you an unforgettable and comfortable trip [especially comfort and leg stretch break stops every 2 hours!].
So, if you're up for an adventure, [even if you're a bit later in life], please don't hesitate to book this tour. You can opt in or out of activities and take things at you're own pace. Grab the chance while you can!!!
“Incredible experience!”
I don’t say this lightly, this trip to Exmouth was genuinely life-changing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we were in for something special, and that was all thanks to Geoff. His kindness, patience, and ability to create a safe and welcoming environment allowed all of us to truly relax, be ourselves, and make some unforgettable memories.
Geoff’s passion for Western Australia is absolutely infectious. You can feel how much he cares about this part of the world in everything he does, from the way he talks about the land and sea, to the depth of knowledge he shared with us. Every day felt like an adventure, and every moment was meaningful. Whether we were swimming with marine life, exploring the stunning coastline, or just enjoying a laugh together at the end of the day, Geoff made sure it was an experience we’d never forget.
One of the most special parts of the trip was the people I met. I’ve made connections that I know will last well beyond this journey, something I truly didn’t expect, but am incredibly grateful for.
Thank you, Geoff, for everything. You and all the friends I have met, helped open my eyes, heart, and mind in ways I didn’t know I needed. I’ll carry this trip with me forever
“Amazing week with Geoff!”
We had an incredible week-long excursion, and a huge part of that was thanks to our tour guide, Geoff. From start to finish, he was kind, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves.
Geoff’s knowledge of the area, history, and culture was truly impressive—he brought each place we visited to life with fascinating stories and insights. He was also incredibly organized and made everything run smoothly, while still being flexible and attentive to the group's needs.
Above all, Geoff's genuine kindness and enthusiasm made the experience unforgettable. You can tell he truly cares about the people he’s guiding and loves what he does.
Highly recommended—thank you, Geoff, for an amazing week!
“Perth to Exmouth Review”
Travelling the West Coast up to Exmouth with Geoff was such a highlight of my trip. He wasn’t just knowledgeable—he was also easygoing and genuinely cared about making sure we all had the best time. I really appreciated how helpful he was, always checking in and going the extra mile whenever anyone needed something.
Because of Geoff, I got to see and learn so much more than I expected, and it honestly made the whole experience unforgettable—it’s been my favourite trip so far. He also shared stories from his own life, which made our whole group feel connected and comfortable.
I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone—it’s an experience you won’t forget!
“New Friends, nature and wildlife”
I had the best time ever and made friends for life! What a special trip and especially with the people who make it special and fun! Thank you geoffrey for the great time together and you were/are the best guide ever. The things we have been allowed to see kwa nature and wildlife were unimaginable and beyond expectations wow! I would recommend dot iedreen and not be afraid to go alone wamt you make the best friends and adventures.🪸🐬
“Would 100% recommend this trip!!”
This was such an amazing trip! Our guide Geoff was wonderful and immediately looked after us and made us feel very at home. The whole group bonded really quickly and by the end we all felt like a big group of old friends travelling together seeing all the incredible sights! WA is so beautiful and we managed to pack so much into a relatively short trip but for me the highlight was honestly getting to spend so much time with the best group
“A Truly Life-Changing 7-Day WA Tour ”
This September I had the most unforgettable experience on a 7-day tour through Western Australia. It was my first time visiting WA, and what I expected to be a great trip quickly turned into one of the most life-changing adventures I’ve ever had.
WA’s natural beauty is beyond words. From the dazzling coral reefs to endless stretches of red desert and unique flora, every stop offered something breathtaking. Thanks to our incredible tour guide Geoff, we were able to see and learn about it all in such a meaningful way. His knowledge, kindness, and passion made every moment special, especially when teaching us about the land and the culture of the Indigenous people.
The wildlife encounters were truly unforgettable—we swam with whale sharks, dolphins, manta rays, and turtles, and spotted kangaroos, emus, and even sharks! It honestly felt like stepping into another world.
What made the tour even more special were the people. In just a week, strangers became close friends as we shared stories, laughed together, and learned from one another.
Even though this tour covers the longest distance you can travel in 7 days in Australia, the journey was comfortable and never felt tiring. The bus was fully air-conditioned, seats were comfy, and there were plenty of fun stops (and even a few music jam sessions).
My personal ratings:
• Food: 10/10 – Nutritious, delicious, and always satisfying (special mention to the curry and spaghetti bolognese ).
• Comfort: 9/10 – Great bus, good accommodations, and I loved the shared stays which made it more fun.
• Activities: 10/10 – Thrilling, exciting, and unforgettable.
• Tour Guide: 20/10 – Geoff was simply outstanding: wise, compassionate, and inspiring.
Overall, this tour exceeded every expectation. It wasn’t just a holiday—it was an adventure filled with beauty, learning, and connection. I left with lifelong memories and friendships, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
“Unforgettable Adventures in Western Australia with Autopia”
I joined this tour as a female solo traveller in mid-September. The week and the experience we had can't really be put into words... It was simply magical! I can only recommend it to everyone, especially those travelling solo (but also friends or couples) who want to explore part of WA's coastline and make new friends, without having to worry about anything.
Not only are the landscapes magnificent, breathtaking, and incredibly beautiful, but the optional activities were worth every dollar and made the group experience even more special. If you're the kind of traveller who likes to learn about the country, the landscape, and its history, who doesn't mind sleeping in shared dorms in hostels, nor early mornings and long hours on the bus, in exchange for jaw-dropping views and new friendships — this tour is for you!
From start to finish, the tour was perfectly organised. Everything ran smoothly, thanks to Geoff. From pick-up, to communication and daily schedules, accommodation, meals, and organising optional activities. I especially liked the app we used to share photos and information with fellow travellers. The group size (10 people plus the guide) was ideal and ensured a lot of flexibility and efficiency, as well as plenty of room on the bus.
Even though the schedule is tight and we spent a lot of time on the bus (it was absolutely worth it), there was enough time to explore at the main stops. The ~3,500 km covered in 7 days are broken up every 1.5–2 hours with toilet breaks, grocery stops, lunch breaks, or stops to explore the area and stretch your legs. So in the end, the drives didn’t feel too long.
The hostel accommodations were all well located and ranged from okay to very nice. Since you pretty much only spend the night at the hostel, it doesn’t really matter that much anyway. Some of them had pools or sea access, which was a plus, even though the weather was on the colder side for a swim. Most of the time, we didn’t have to share the dorms with people outside the group, which was great.
There was a good variety of breakfast options including cereal, muesli, toast and different spreads and always the option to buy your own extras. Lunch was mostly DIY wraps, which was an easy and uncomplicated way to “refuel.” Dinners were generally prepared as a group and were always delicious, varied, and well-balanced.
The activities and places we visited were absolutely stunning and breathtaking! From Pinnacles Desert, Pink Lake, Kalbarri National Park, to different beaches and viewpoints, snorkelling, looking for wildlife, small hikes, abseiling, watching sunsets and stargazing — every wish was met.
I highly recommend booking the optional Mega Fauna Tour to snorkel with whale sharks in Exmouth and the Ningaloo Reef Snorkel in Coral Bay, where you can swim with manta rays. Both were mind-blowing experiences, and professional photos were taken and shared afterwards. It’s best to book them beforehand as they sometimes sell out quickly, though there were also a few leftover spots available once the tour started — which was amazing!
I could have continued this tour forever! That being said, I would have loved a bit more time in a few places. Like an extra half-day or full day in Exmouth, Monkey Mia, and Coral Bay, for example. I could easily see this trip being extended to 10 days instead of 7. That would make it feel a bit less rushed and give more time to relax, explore the towns, spend time at the beach, or do some shopping.
And now, to the man who made the whole experience even more wholesome: Geoff, our tour guide and driver. He went above and beyond to make this trip special for everyone. From stopping along the road to show us wildlife, to making sure each person was booked into optional activities (ideally not all by themselfs but with someone else from the group). He was highly professional and extremely well-structured and organised throughout the trip. His way of communicating, sharing his personal stories, and sharing his passion for the area, culture and nature and passion for travel is unmatched and was highly infectious!
While Geoff was approachable, kind, easy to talk to, and always in a good mood, his knowledge was also incredibly impressive! I loved the stories and insights, the playlists, and the quiz game that made the long bus rides much more enjoyable. Thanks to his openness, it was easy for a group of strangers with different backgrounds, ages (21–36), and interests, to connect and bond quickly. The group dynamic was amazing! He wasn’t just the guide. He was part of the group and a big reason why everyone had such a great time. Geoff had some really long days. Waking up early to prepare breakfast, driving all day, organising dinner prep and clean-up, handling grocery shopping, maintaining the bus, and making sure everyone was okay. This didn’t go unnoticed, and it was deeply appreciated. Geoff, you made this trip unforgettable and unique for all of us — thank you!
Tips for Fellow Travellers:
- Bring a power bank. Hostels sometimes have limited power outlets. Also useful for charging electronics on the bus.
- Pack a daypack with the essentials for the day's activities (shoes, flipflops, clothing, bikini, towel, etc.) to bring on the bus with you, as your main luggage is stored in the trailer and not easily accessible during the day.
- Use easy-to-pack luggage. You’ll be unpacking and repacking almost every day.
- Bring layers. Especially in winter or early spring. A warm jacket and/or raincoat is essential. Temperatures vary during the day and there’s often a breeze.
- Be prepared for limited phone reception. Download music, books, or movies in advance. Or take the opportunity to talk with fellow travellers, nap, or enjoy the view and spot wildlife. All accommodations had Wi-Fi.
- Bring a good camera or phone. And make sure you have enough storage. A waterproof case is a plus for snorkelling.
- Sit back, relax, and enjoy – you’re in for an incredible ride!
“Would recommend”
I had the best trip. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Our tour guide, Geoff, was amazing and made sure we did not need anything and really made the trip extra memorable. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone, and to just book it if you're considering it. The 7 days went by so fast, and we all wished we had more time.
“West Coast Tour”
Amazing experience, varied stops with different landscapes. Comfortable travel with multiple stops. Food was great and accommodation pleasant. Geoff was a great driver and guide, often going above and beyond to make the experience as memorable as possible
“Great food, very comfortable, excellent tour guide, memories to ”
The tour was extremely well planned, the food was great, the travel was comfortable and our guide was outstanding. Geoff, if you read this, you made the trip memorable and special, I will always remember it.
“Great experience”
We saw a great number of beautiful places in WA. When the main attraction didn't show up our guide Beth always came up with alternatives.
We had the chance to observe dolphins, kangaroos, emus, turtles and cockatoos in the wild. Most of us did additional activities like ab seiling, snorkeling (alas no manta ray), sandboarding, short hikes. A big factor for these kind of tours is the group (which worked surprisingly well with an age range from 20+ to 60+) the guide and the interaction between all participants. And Beth's enthusiasm when showing us something she found was always refreshing.
In general a great experience and i would anytime book another tour with Beth again.
I should probably also mention
You will quite often get up very early 5-6am. And bring a cushion... The seats are quite hard. After 7 days you definitely feel it
“Great experience to see a lot of hidden gems”
Very nice spots and Beth was a great tourguide and a very good chief. Bus was rather aged and not really enough comfortable for such long rides. This is the reason why we took a flight back from Exmouth to Perth. Nevertheless, the tour was really worth going on. For those not abseiling in Kilbarry NP, an alternative programme woulld be nice.
Hotels were very good and having booked private rooms wasr really worth the money.
Thanks to the whole group for an unforgettable Aussie experience!
“Great way to see remote north west WA”
Great tour through some remote and very beautiful parts of the north west coast of WA. Highlight for me was snorkelling Ningaloo. Beth, our guide was a superwoman, driving long distances, keeping us all fed and happy and sharing a her passion and knowledge of WA.
Bus was a bit old and the seats are tough going for such a long drive. Recommend bringing a good pillow to sit on.
I’d never done any kind of tour before but fell in love with Australia all over again in this trip. Our tour was a diverse with people of all ages, I really enjoyed the diversity.
I would definitely do a tour again and would love to spend more time in north western WA.
“I would 100% recommend the Perth to Exmouth tour”
I would 100% recommend the Perth to Exmouth tour, is an experience not to be missed, beautiful landscape, majestic wildlife and great people!
Have to give huge shout out to Geoff who went above and beyond to make the tour even more special than it already is.
Clear on the daily itinerary, making sure plenty of loo and snack stops, knowledgeable on all stops/activities on the tour, and always going the extra mile for every guest. By far the best tour leader I have traveled with you are lucky to have him.
Ideally I would have loved it to be over 10 days to allow a little more time in some spots, however this 7 days tour was perfect for my budget as it is a fair price for the distance and quality of the tour.
I would definitely rebook another tour with this company.
The only down side is it ended!
“Best memories”
10/10 - Geoff was an amazing tour guide. Will never forget this trip. The best group of people, as a solo traveller it couldn’t have been better.
“Geoff (the tour guide) was a legend”
I'm delighted I booked onto this tour. Its perfect if you want a quick overview of the West Coast and are limited on time. Be prepared, its a LOT of driving. It was well organised, hostels were perfect, and food was great (veggie food too!). The best part of the tour was Geoff the tour guide. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, organised and so caring. He shared lots of information with us about the national parks, animals and add on experiences. Geoff also shared some personal stories which touched my heart. A big thank you Geoff!! You are a legend.
Some constructive feedback would be to assign people the cooking/cleaning in the evenings so it's fair. I felt it was always the same people helping out. The bus was a little cramped - especially at the back. It would be nice to have overhead storage on the bus to free up space. Also, it would be nice if we could swap seats every day. You cannot see much of the wild life at the back of the bus. In order to get to know everyone on the tour it would have been cool to organise some games in the evening. Just a thought.
Thank you so much Autopia for the tour. Definitely give Geoff a raise!
“Unforgettable lifetime experience”
A great experience, solo traveler . Amazing group of fellow travellers, Geoff our driver tour director organiser of everything was exceptional.
Caring , patient, knowledgeable and above all friendly .
Would recommend this tour adventure .Geoff you were right something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
We had people from several nationalities, everyone showed care for each other, had people ranging from 19 -70 . I did the private accommodation. Loved the meal prep and tidy up . A camp like experience.
Best tour I’ve done .
“Wow WA”
This week was a trip of a lifetime as we saw and experienced so much in such a short space of time. Special credit goes to our incredible tour guide Geoff, who covered 3500km on the road, showing us all the natural wonders of the west coast! His passion for nature, genuine love for travelling and making new connections shone through. Thank you for the most memorable week!
“Unforgettable10”
I joined the 7-day Exmouth Explorer Tour by Autopia Tours, starting in Perth and looping all the way up to Exmouth and back. It was my very last trip before leaving Australia, and I went into it alone and with pretty low expectations. But from the very first day, this tour turned into something far more special than I ever could have hoped for.
The itinerary was packed with iconic West Coast highlights. Monkey Mia, the endless coastline and of course the Ningaloo Reef. The early morning wwalk to Nature's window was magical and snorkeling with manta rays felt like living inside a documentary. Every stop felt perfectly timed, even the simple supermarket runs, and we never felt rushed.
A huge part of what made this trip unforgettable was Geoff, our guide. He shared stories during the drives - personal, thoughtful, inspiring, sometimes funny, but always real. You could feel how much he loves his job and how deeply he cares about creating meaningful experiences for everyone. He's a true heart of gold human, and I am garteful that he was my guide during this week.
Those seven days felt like two weeks in the best way possible. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone.
