Day 1: Hobart to the Wild West Coast
An early start from Hobart takes us deep into the wild west of Tasmania. After passing through New Norfolk, we explore Mount Field National Park, walking among some of the tallest trees on the planet, standing beneath the beautiful Russell Falls, and searching for platypus. Our drive passes through the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area with a stop at Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, strolling along the Franklin River and under Nelson Falls. We explore the eerie historical mining town of Queenstown before reaching Tullah in the afternoon, with free time to explore the township on beautiful Lake Rosebery.

Day 2: Wild West Coast to Central Tasmania (via Cradle Mountain)
From Tullah, we drive through temperate rainforest to the spectacular Cradle Mountain National Park. Get your cameras ready as we spot wild wombats before hiking the popular Dove Lake Circuit — or Marion's Lookout for the adventurous. An afternoon drive brings us to secluded bush accommodation surrounded by wildlife — wallabies, wombats, quolls, birds and more — with an included BBQ dinner with the group.

Day 3: Central Tasmania to Bicheno
We start with a scenic drive to the Bay of Fires, with time to explore its beautiful beaches — rock-hop among the iconic orange lichen-covered granite boulders and enjoy the crystal-clear turquoise water. In the afternoon, we stop at a wildlife sanctuary for a Tasmanian Devil feeding, then drive to Bicheno (known as the next Byron Bay), arriving early to explore the blowhole, coastal loop walk and Whalers Lookout. There's the option of a Little Penguin guided tour at dusk.

Day 4: Bicheno to Hobart
A short drive from Bicheno brings us to Freycinet National Park, home of the famous Wineglass Bay. Hike the Wineglass Bay Lookout and Beach, the Hazards Circuit, or Mount Amos (weather dependent). We stop at Cape Tourville before completing the Great Eastern Drive back to Hobart, arriving around 5:30pm. If you're staying in Hobart, check out the renowned Salamanca Market on Saturdays.

Throughout your 4-day Tasmania adventure, you’ll stay in carefully selected lodges, cabins, and seaside bungalows that reflect the character and natural beauty of the island. Our base tour rate includes multi-share accommodation, featuring single beds in shared 1–3-bedroom cabins, bungalows, or motels (2–4 guests per room) with attached bathrooms. For those seeking extra privacy, upgrades to private bedrooms are available.
On Night One, we stay in a lakeside lodge surrounded by mountains and steeped in local history. The on-site bar and restaurant overlook the water — the perfect place to relax and enjoy dinner after a day of exploring.
Night Two brings us to a remote bush setting in central Tasmania, roughly 600 metres above sea level. These cabins offer peaceful forest and mountain views and are often visited by native wildlife after dark. In the evening, we gather around the campfire for a group BBQ dinner, watching wallabies and other marsupials graze nearby.
On Night Three, we settle into bungalows with ocean and bush views in a quiet coastal town. Each bungalow has its own bathroom and kitchen, and you’ll be just a short walk from the beach, lookouts, and scenic walking tracks — a perfect place to unwind and reflect on your Tasmanian journey.

Our 4-day trip to Tasmania was an amazing experience from start to finish. The itinerary was very thoughtfully planned, allowing us to explore a wide variety of beautiful scenery, including towering trees, stunning waterfalls, Cradle Mountain, breathtaking beaches, and even wine tasting experiences. Every day was fruitful and well organised, yet never felt rushed, which made the journey both relaxing and enjoyable. Tim was definitely the highlight of the trip. He was helpful, knowledgeable, humorous, caring, and highly professional throughout the entire journey. He took great care of the whole group, always making sure everyone was comfortable, informed, and having a good time. His local knowledge and positive energy made the experience even more memorable. We joined the 4 day tour and learnt so much more about the geography, history, culture, nature and current affairs of Tassie with our guide Tim. Saw a wide range of animals in the wild and in the conservation parks e.g. wallabies, wombats, possums, the tasmanian devils, sugar gliders, and quolls. Accommodations are really nice, clean, and cozy, though for the second night phone reception is only available via Telstra. Hiking/walking difficulties are up to personal choice and the scenery has been great - at Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay, Mount Field National Park, etc. Very comfortable ride in a 13 seat minivan. Knowledgeable and helpful guide. This tour gets up early to beat the crowd and the sun which has added to the experience.
This 4-day adventure was a perfect mix of challenging hikes (with easier options), beach stops and rainforest walks, with plenty of wildlife along the way. The Bicheno penguin add-on was worth it too. For me it was the most efficient way to see a lot of Tasmania in a week without renting a car. Our guide Tim was awesome and knew everything about Tassie. I had a great time exploring Tasmania with Wild Tasmania Tours! I was hoping to see some of the nature Tassie has to offer, do some great hikes, and make new friends and that's exactly what I got. The highlight for me was the flexibility of the walks available during the trip: there were both easy and challenging options which meant we could all choose what we preferred and get the most out of the trip. As someone who wanted to do some hikes but didn't want to go alone this was ideal and I would recommend to any other solo travellers in the same boat. To top it off we stayed in great accommodation on the way and it never felt like we spent too long in the car despite covering a lot of ground. Tim was an amazing guide who kept us entertained (and informed) with tons of interesting knowledge about the plants, animals, and history of the island. He is also a very kind, fun person to be around and made everyone feel welcome and included.

I was eager to see beautiful regional Tassie, but was hesitant to do it alone. This tour was the perfect solution! The group (12ppl) was a mix of solo travellers and couplets of varying ages and nationalities and for 4 days we were surrounded by picturesq rainforests, national parks, bush, beaches and coastlines. We covered a large distance in 4 days but the itinerary provided for a good balance of time spent on the bus and time spent sight seeing. The days are long (10-12hrs) but at no time did I feel rushed nor was time dragged out. There were sufficient daily stops for toilet and meal breaks. With options for various restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. Tim, the guide, was engaging and entertaining. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge on the history and the flora and fauna of the region. Sharing interesting tidbits and lore as we drove. He was approachable if you had questions or concerns, and he also cooks a pretty good BBQ. Tim was encouraging, and suggested various walks, hikes and trails based on guests abilities, making sure we all got the most out of each day. Oh, and the accomodation offerings each night far exceeded my expectations (I opted to share) Thank you Tim and tour mates (and Trent). I had a blast and have zero hesitation recommending this tour.

To my embarrassment I'm only now reviewing the fantastic four-day tour my wife and I did with Trent last year. Trent is a great guy and guide — friendly, even-keeled and extremely knowledgeable — and our very international group ranged from early twenties to three of us around 70, with hiking options to suit everyone. We covered a lot of ground without feeling rushed, taking in wonderful sights and experiences, with accommodation and meals ranging from perfectly fine to superb and a roomy van even when full. I recommend Trent and Wild Tasmania Tours without reservation. Note: the online info suggests a maximum age of 65, but three of us were about 70 and it was no problem at all.

You will be embarking on a safe, joyful, informative and awe-inspiring trip. So many Instagramable photos to be taken and so much wildlife to see. Really loved seeing wallabies, wombats, echidnas and other sorts of creatures here and there. Also the hike in Mt. Amos was absolutely amazing. Perfect for those who are adventous and fit enough to check out the lookout. Accommodation wise, pretty clean and cozy. I did enjoy the BBQ around the bonfire when we stayed at Craggy Peaks, where the cabins are sitting in the wood and your neighbours are wallabies and wombats. I joined the 4-day wild tour on my own and it was an unforgettable experience, with such kind tour mates. Our guide Tim was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, culture, nature and history, and kept us entertained with fascinating stories in the van. (For Japanese travellers: I'm Japanese and joined the English tour solo with roughly B2–C1 English. There were about ten of us, mostly fluent Western travellers and about half solo, so everyone chatted freely and it was easy and relaxed. Tim speaks clearly and you can always check anything you miss afterwards, so don't be nervous about joining — it's a genuinely wild experience you can't get at home. You can swim on warm days even outside summer, so bring swimwear and a towel.)

An amazing experience I'd recommend to family and friends. Before the trip Trent patiently answered all my questions and even helped me book other tours in Australia. During the trip Tim managed the time and group superbly, with incredible local knowledge — he even knew how the tap water tasted at each filling station and kindly offered me his last bottle. I could always trust his honest read on the trails, and we even squeezed in an extra beach and were always first to arrive to beat the crowds. The stops are scenic and authentic, the recommended restaurants excellent and his BBQ skills much appreciated. The multi-share lodging is great for solo travellers on a budget, they cater well to special needs and they're very conscious of protecting the environment and wildlife. I usually prefer to travel independently, but this exceeded what I could do on my own. A huge thank you to Trent and the team.

If you want an active, unique way to explore Tasmania, this tour is a must-do — a great combination of adventure, comfort and wildlife. One of the best parts was the small group size, which kept everything relaxed and social. Our guide Tim was exceptional — fun, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate — and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife, history and nature. The accommodation was a lovely surprise, especially the second night in little cabins with wombats wandering underneath and wallabies nearby during a BBQ. For hikers it's amazing — Cradle Mountain was beautiful and the climb up Mount Amos was tough but worth it for the view over Wineglass Bay — and there are easier alternatives that others said were just as beautiful. Food is fairly flexible with vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free options. Days start early to beat the crowds, all accommodation provides towels and toiletries, and grippy hiking shoes are essential. Easily one of the best small-group Tasmania hiking tours — I'd do it again.

We were short on time but this was the perfect way to feel like you've ticked off Tassie — well suited to those who like a challenging hike and love wildlife. Recently did the 4 Day Wild Tasmania Tour and it was a wonderful experience I'd fully recommend. Four days is of course far too short to see Tasmania, but the tour is set up so you see a huge amount while still getting to really dive into a few places rather than just driving past everything. It was active, with options for varying levels of activity — hiking, rock scrambling, wildlife, BBQ, frisbee on the beach, you name it. Our guide Tim was such fun and a fount of knowledge, filling the van time with facts, stories and history that added colour to the whole experience. Patient, helpful and basically perfect for this tour. Highly recommend — you won't be disappointed in the slightest.

An excellent way to see some of the best parts of Tasmania, expertly organised — no surprise once you meet Tim, who has an outstanding knowledge of every corner of the island and its history. Tim gets everyone involved and is always on hand to help. Our guide Tim has real depth and breadth of knowledge about Tasmania — and honestly anything — and if he doesn't have an answer he'll find it for you, which added so much context to what we were seeing. The itinerary lets you see the highlights of Tasmania without feeling like you spend the whole time in the van, and the accommodation exceeded expectations — especially the second night, with a wombat strolling past the cabin morning and evening. I was quite worried about this tour, bringing my 11-year-old grandson along for a very active four days as the newly retired, oldest person on the trip. It was truly fantastic — authentic, challenging, beautiful and a lot of fun. It's a small company, so we all felt taken care of, with a great blend of flexibility and staying on schedule. Our guide was knowledgeable and great at helping me pick the best trails for my ability. Things to know: every day is an early start, so don't plan on a leisurely pace; expect anything from cold and windy at Cradle to sunny elsewhere, so pack for three seasons in a day; even the moderate trails can be tough with lots of steps, so take the easier ones if you have knee trouble; and if you want a sightseeing-only tour, don't pick an adventure tour — I clocked over six miles a day. Thanks to Tim and my fellow travellers for a memorable time and the kindness they showed us both.

“A fabulous Tassie adventure!”
What an amazing four days. There was nothing our guide Tim didn't know about the flora, fauna, geology, history, politics and indigenous communities, all while safely navigating the bus and trailer around the most beautiful parts of Tassie. He was a fantastic host who made sure everyone had a great time. The days started early to avoid the crowds at the national parks and it was really worth it; the Cradle Mountain trek was breathtaking in both senses, though there was always a less strenuous option, and the wildlife encounters were very special. Accommodation was good and clean, the highlight being the second night in the bush with wallabies, quolls and wombats close by. Food stops were well organised with something for all tastes, plus a little downtime to explore each day. I really appreciated the support from Trent and the team — no question was too dumb. I learned so much and enjoyed every moment. Go prepared for all sorts of weather, but go if you can.

“Super fun 4 days and a great way to see Tasmania”
This was my first solo trip and I couldn't have asked for a better way to see Tasmania. The four days were packed, and I liked that each day had a bit of a theme — day 3 was focused on beaches, so you knew what to bring. It's the right length: enough to see a variety of sights but not too long. The accommodation was super nice, especially night 2 in cabins with wombats and other animals roaming freely. There are some early starts, but they help you avoid the crowds on the trails. I'm a city girl who hasn't spent much time climbing mountains, but I loved the treks. My top tip is to be up for anything — the lake at Tullah is lovely to swim in and I even saw the Southern Lights on the final night. Tim's a cool guy who knows everything about Tassie, has fun stories and is always up for a chat. 100% worth the money.

“From the Cradle to the Bay Tassie all the way”
Fantastic tour — I'd do Tassie again. Trent was responsive and quick to answer questions despite a 17-hour time difference, and during the trip Tim was a fantastic guide. The tour races around the island and just makes you want to come back. Days start early, usually around 7am, but you get the evenings to explore. Bring a silk base layer, swimsuit, rain jacket and pants, hat and a backpack — early starts give you the parks to yourself and the value for money is amazing. The last day is at a winery with whites and a pinot so good you'll buy a bottle. Tip: schedule time in Hobart after the tour so Tim can give you an itinerary, and take two days so you can spend one at MONA.

Our guide Tim was super knowledgeable and patiently answered our group's hundreds of random questions on all sorts of topics. The schedule covered a great range of mountains, rainforests, waterfalls, countryside, local foods, beaches, coast, iconic spots, gentle walks and more intensive hikes, with everything from budget accommodation to unique modern cabins. The mornings were early, but beating the crowds was worth it. Be ready for a variety of conditions — you'll want water-resistant hiking shoes, warm layers, a rain jacket, a hat, a swimsuit and plenty of sunscreen, sometimes all in one day. Tim has strong opinions, which give a refreshing perspective and history. Overall the scope is broad, the experiences representative, and the tour totally worth it.

Beautiful vistas of mountains, beaches and forests, conveniently broken up with rest stops every hour or so. The wildlife was fantastic — quolls, wallabies and kangaroos all within a few metres. Highlights were the Cradle Mountain walk (which can get cold and wet), the second night's stay in near-wilderness with quolls running around, and the kangaroo feeding. Comfortable for families with young children, with good transport and clean accommodation, and vegetarian-friendly if with limited options. Our guide Tim was amazing, making it super enjoyable and comfortable for everyone, including the kids.

The best experience for a trip around Tasmania. Tim was genuinely the most experienced, professional, fun and easygoing guide I've toured with, bringing so much interesting information about local history, animal behaviour and geology, always in a fun storytelling way. The homestays were very comfortable — you sleep in secluded natural settings with amazing views and wildlife, and on the last night the beach is only 100 metres away. Fourteen people felt like the perfect number to get along and share the wildlife Tasmania offers, and the hikes always had options for different abilities. Although there's a lot packed in, you always had time to relax as we stopped in small towns for food and groceries. This tour definitely sets the bar high — and we had wonderful 25-degree sunshine every day, which is no given in Tasmania.

What an adventure! We love seeing wildlife in its natural habitat and this tour surpassed our expectations. Our local guide, Trent, had exceptional knowledge on Tasmanian culture and wildlife and knew exactly where to find it. He made the journeys easy, pointing out important landmarks on the way. We wanted to see platypus and any other Australian wildlife and Trent exceeded our expectations. Four platypus in total, pademelons (including a mother with a joey, wallabies, many wombats ( one of which sniffed at my shoe!) and numerous birds, including the two largest eagles in Australia. Great variety of experiences from beautiful hikes, luscious rolling farmlands to beach cafes wildlife centers and quaint towns. Trent and Tim are true Tassie guys. Knowledgeable and rugged!! But with a heart as they rescued a little quoll who was cold and at deaths door Trent who I named as daddy had the little quoll wrapped up in a bundle and he held him for the whole day until little T was given to a wildlife sanctuary who would nurture him it was a beautiful experience and defined the trip for me. Our guide Tim was personable, energetic, and knowledgeable. As he drove he told engaging stories that gave context to the places we saw. At each stop he guided us to find the best views, and he was exceptional at spotting wildlife, the primary reason for our visit. We had to leave the four day tour early due to our flight plans, so while the rest of the group had a full day with Tim, Trent picked us up at Craggy Peaks to get us back to Hobart. On the way he took us to lunch in Ross and gave us time to visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Since we still had a few hours before our flight he brought us to the Hobart waterfront where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Pearl & Co. before heading to the airport. The entire tour was very well planned to maximize opportunities for great experiences while minimizing lengthy drives between stops. We could not have asked for a better tour.

The four day tour by Trent was the highlight of our Australia family trip in July. Trent had it all planned to the minute detail and was always ready to go the extra mile to make the experience worth while for his customers, he had hand warmers ready for us to survive on the coldest day. Everything was very well planned: from transport, to accommodation, to breathtaking destinations! There is no way I could've found those places without this tour! Last little tip: While in Strahan, if you have the opportunity to go to the theatre production: "The ship that never was", do not hesitate and go for it!

I’d never done a group tour before, never done the off-the-beaten-path hikes and am not an early morning person.. but this was amazing!
You are challenged, educated, always thoroughly entertained and you will see the most rugged, yet beautiful landscapes.
This was an experience of many firsts also having never seen echidnas and wombats up so close and personal before. It felt truly special.
You will wonder why you must wake up at such bloody early hours.. but you see the best sunrises and get so many of the trails and beaches completely to yourself, because Trent ensures you arrive everywhere first. There is a lot of care that goes into planning this trip and it’s very evident.
My only feedback is.. please do more trips, Trent! If you ever do tours in the Northern Territory again, be sure to sound the alarms and let us know.

I had the privilege of participating in the 4-night tour with Trent and other 12 tour members. Trent has designed this tour to admire the changing landscape, flora fauna of wonderful Tasmania directly from the source. The accommodations were high-end, very confortable and safe.

Trent, our guide put together a class tour and drove us to the highlights of the island with his bus. He is well versed here and can always give explanations about flora and fauna. He does this patiently and at length, without being intrusive in any way. The hiking tours were varied and were partly easy, partly quite difficult. Simple alternatives have always existed. We were also positively surprised by the accommodations, which were much more luxurious than you could expect from the description of the tour. The 13 group members became more and more familiar with each other after a short time and the atmosphere was great.

- Trent is an attentive, welcoming, and thoughtful tour guide with a wealth of knowledge that he shared during the drives, so you can ask him any questions you have! The days are long and packed, but he’s exceptionally friendly and does everything from helping us find breakfast in the morning to tidying the bus to hosting a BBQ in the bush to leading a star-lit tour around the Tasmanian bush to spot some amazing echidnas and wallabies. (The man is working non-stop for 4 days, don’t know how he does it!)
- The itinerary is cleverly designed to beat the crowds: it starts early every day, but we had almost every hiking experience to ourselves, which means you get to experience Cradle Mountain and Freycinet National Park’s unadulterated beauty with almost no one else around (also means more wildlife around)!
- Accommodations are truly special and it’s amazing that it’s included in the tour price, with clean and modern cabins at some of the best options in each of the places we stopped in. No hostels here — the last 2 nights in the Tasmanian Bush and then by a beautiful beach town are so luxurious, I could’ve spent a week in each place.
- As a smaller tour group of ~10-12 people, we had a great friendly group by the end and actually got to know each other through the various activities. I really appreciated experiencing Tassie’s beautiful scenery with new friends as a solo traveler!
- I’m really glad to book through Wild Tasmania tours because I noticed the extra attention Trent pays towards responsible eco-tourism: he’s thoughtful about how to encounter and treat wildlife without disturbing them, picks nature sanctuaries that are protective towards the animals and invests in rehabilitation instead of commercial profit, and gave us plenty of options to dine and support local businesses or pick up groceries if we preferred. This has been the best organised tour that my sister and I have ever been on. Thankyou Trent for making it so special, you have been able to show us the most amazing places of unbelievable scenery and places we have ever witnessed, We felt we were in the dinosaur era at times, the sea was the most amazing colour blue, swimming in the cleanest water on this planet. We saw lots of Australian animals, examples of these are Echidna, wallabies, Tasmanian Tigers, wombats, Quolls, Eagles, etc.

First and foremost, our guide Trent was exceptional. He clearly has a deep passion for Tasmania and an impressive knowledge of the land, wildlife, and history. He meticulously curated each day of the tour to give us the perfect balance of sightseeing, exploration, and relaxation. We were able to stay at carefully chosen, comfortable places that fit the surroundings—cozy and peaceful, with stunning views. Thanks to Trent's careful planning, we were able to visit all the key spots—like Cradle Mountain, Russell Falls, and the Bay of Fires—but without the typical crowds. We often arrived early in the morning, so we had these awe-inspiring locations almost entirely to ourselves, which made the experience feel incredibly personal and special.
I also loved that this was a small group tour. With just a few of us, it felt more like an intimate adventure, and we were able to move at a comfortable pace and spend more time in the places we loved. We were able to see more in just a few days than I ever expected. I made a great decision to join this tour - and what a wonderful experience it was! Trent is a first class tour guide - he is thoughtful, friendly and highly organised, and he will ensure that every hour on the journey counts. With a well designed itinerary we immersed ourselves in the true beauty of Tassie, I finally got to see and experience some bucket list items in the Apple Isle and my fellow travellers were super lovely (we had a group of 13). The accommodation was comfortable and had a real ‘escapism’ factor. The highlights for me was Cradle Mountain, Bay of Fires, Wineglass Bay and our stopover at Craggy Peaks. I booked this tour based on all great reviews and it exceeded my expectations a lot. We saw so much wild animals, waterfalls and beautiful views in 4 days! I was so pleased I joined the tour, otherwise I would not have seen as much on my own. Trent is such a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable, organised and helpful. He took us not only iconic tourist site but also small towns, berry shop, seaside cafe and restaurant etc. He always gave us tips where and what is the best to eat for our free time. Trent took us a little creek and spotted wild Platypus on our first day. OMG, I was so excited as Platypus sighting was one of my bucket list! My hiking highlight was Dove lake circuit at Cradle Mountain. Breathtaking views, very peaceful and unforgettable. Trent took us before other clouds get there so we had such a nice time by ourselves. All Accomodation was comfortable. Especially, I really loved 2nd accomodation which sit in the middle of beautiful bush. Trent cooked us BBQ dinner, campfire, cooked mush mallows. Wild animal spotting with torch was so much fun.

My daughter and I went on this 4-day excursion hoping to see some of Tasmania's endemic birds, explore some of the coastline, and hike in some of the national parks. We did all of that and much more. Trent, our guide, brought us not just to iconic places like Cradle Mountain and Russell Falls but also to coves, beaches, and wilderness areas that were hidden gems with spectacular views and few people. We also went to some lovely cafes and very good winery.
Trent was knowledgeable about the area's history, ecology, and wildlife, which made the bus travel go quickly. The people on the trip were from all over the globe, including other parts of Australia. They were an adventuresome and interesting group, adding to the already abundant pleasures of the trip.

This tour was nothing short of amazing! Trent made it such a memorable experience for our group-he is super passionate about Tasmania and went to great lengths to show us and tell us all about the history, the wildlife, the flora and fauna of each area we visited. We covered a lot of ground in 4 days and saw so much! Highlights were Franklin River , Nelson Falls and the walk around Dove Lake, Wineglass Bay and Hazards Bay 900+ stairs, Devils Corner winery, several waterfalls, and all the wildlife we saw (platypus, wombats, echidnas, wallabies, kangaroos, Tassie devils, quolls, lizards, sheep, cows, horses and one special alpaca!)
Trent cooked us a yummy BBQ one night and knew where to send us for good eats on the other days-great bakeries, brekkie spots and a berry farm for fresh berries and cherries. Van Diemens ice cream is a must experience!
Accommodations were lovely- clean and well appointed, yet simple. I travelled on my own and was pleased to connect with other solo female travelers on the tour! Do this tour! You will love every minute and will be sad when it’s over.

Quick tip: leave your big suitcase at the hotel and just pack what you need, and don't worry if you forget anything, as we stopped at supermarkets along the way.

Two of us, students in our twenties from Germany, joined Trent's four-day Wild Tasmania Tour on a friend's recommendation. Simply put, it was an extraordinary, perfect experience. Tasmania is a beautiful place everyone should visit at least once, but here's why you should go with Trent. First, he's a great guy from Tasmania who deeply respects the nature and its animals — you'll see hundreds of them, and he even knows where the rare ones can be spotted, naming every tree, answering every question and driving safely. Second, the whole trip is highly professional: you're picked up at your accommodation, and he has bathroom and food stops in mind and books special accommodation to your preferences. Third, the groups are small (the bus only fits 13) and mixed in age and gender, so you grow together and enjoy the countryside in a private setting. Just bring only what you need for the four days, be ready for early starts to beat the crowds, and pack good shoes. This is due to the beautiful island with its diverse nature and wildlife, but at least as much due to our tour guide Trent. He makes sure that everyone in the group has a good time and can do the things they want to do. He knows his way around, has exciting things to tell and loves what he does.
You don't have the feeling of going through the standard tourist program, but benefit from the experience he has gained during his time as a guide - for example in the form of restaurant tips, little stops along the way or tips for the next excursion.
This is the perfect tour for anyone who enjoys walks and (shorter or more challenging) hikes, is interested in the local animals but also likes to spend time on a beach!

The group I met with was super nice and we connected very well, Trent (the guide) was always making sure that we were comfortable and that everything was going well, with a lot of patience to explain anything again if I didn't understand him correctly. Here's what you can expect. The owner, Trent, provides door-to-door pickup and drop-off at many hotels (a short walk to a designated spot where large vehicles can't reach). You travel in a comfortable van with a trailer roomy enough for everyone's luggage. There's more than a reasonable amount of time at every scheduled stop, each with clean toilets, and you'll enjoy a moderate amount of walking, plenty of wildlife and time near several beaches. The eateries are carefully chosen with variety for all dietary needs, and the accommodation is thoughtfully selected and above average for a multi-day tour (we stayed at Tullah Lakeside Lodge, Craggy Peaks and Bicheno by the Bay). Trent is very personable and makes certain everyone is well taken care of. This four-day tour more than exceeded my expectations — well-organised, full of activities and great value. Highly recommend without reservation.

With a group of just 11 (max 13) it felt personal, relaxed and well paced, with plenty of time to unwind. Just finished the 4 Day Wild Tasmania Tour and had a blast! Trent is an excellent tour guide and so thoughtfully planned everything. The arranged accommodations were comfortable, food options on the road were plenty, and the selected sights, stops and hikes were amazing. The 4 day tour was really excellent and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Trent was a friendly, informative, and organised guide. The accommodation was always comfortable and well chosen. The group size was perfect and everyone was friendly. Early starts meant that we saw places and nature at its best. There was quite a lot of driving but there were regular stops, information and Trent was a very safe driver. The places we saw were absolutely stunning. The trip was very good value and I cannot think of a better way of seeing so much of Tasmania in a short time.

Just finished the 4 Day Wild Tasmania Tour and it was awesome . Trent is a super knowledgeable and down-to-earth tour guide that has created a well balanced itinerary for all levels of fitness/adventure. My mate and I had a great time challenging ourselves on the trails around Cradle Mountain and through Wineglass Bay whilst others within our group explored more accessible trails.

Had such a wonderful trip around Tasmania. Our tour guide Trent was full of knowledge about Tasmanian history and wildlife, telling us lots of stories as we explored.
The 4 day trip really captured some of Tasmania gems. We saw some beautiful scenery, stopped to have some yummy local food including fresh fruit and homemade ice cream. Trent was so knowledgeable the entire time! All of the hikes were so amazing and the scenery was breathtaking! It was an intensive tour with early starts but it enabled us to see a huge amount of Tasmania that we would have never seen on our own. As a couple, on booking, we upgraded our accommodation and we were delighted with what was offered. Our group was a mix of couples and solo travellers and it was lovely to meet such a nice bunch of people.

“The perfect Tassie experience!”
What an amazing few days we all had on our tour around the great Tassie highlights with Trent! We saw so much in just 4 days, from beautiful scenery to wildlife, this tour has everything. The route was very well planned and the perfect balance between seeing lots but also not feeling rushed.
The group was diverse and being smaller than other tours it was a great way to really get to know people. It was a great experience as a solo traveller as I had the chance to stay in some nice accommodation options that otherwise wouldn’t be available as a single person.
Trent is a charismatic and knowledgeable tour guide who goes out of his way to ensure a really good experience for everyone, adding in much appreciated ice cream pit stops when we needed it and going above and beyond to organise additional opportunities for us to enjoy as a group such as a lovely BBQ on our final evening. The locations we saw were stunning, i loved the accommodation (so much better than with any other tour ive been on!) and all the stops for lunches or breakfasts were just so good. “The most efficient and absolutely best tour on the island!”
What a fantastic tour! From Hobart via the wild West and Cradle Mountain, with a stop up the North in Launceston and then driving down the East Coast, Trent showed us the absolutely best of Tassie! Not only we could see the stunning views but we also learned a lot since Trent has absolutely a great knowledge about everything from history via geology to the hidden gems of this beautiful island! Cannot recommend this trip more! Also, the choice of accommodation as well as places to eat was definitely better than on other tours (also for people with special dietary requirements). We started days early, hence we were always ahead other groups! We often had the whole viewpoints or beaches just for ourselves! With such a short trip and a piece of land that has so much to offer, I believe this is the best trip you can choose! Also, Trent is such a polite and helpful person - I called him in advance and he gave me the best tips where to go and see outside of this trip! I am looking forward to come back with my family and friends!

Cannot suggest taking a tour with wild Tasmania tours enough! Trent was an incredible tour guide who went above and beyond to give us the best tour of cradle mountain. Throughout the two whole days, Trent spoke with so much enthusiasm and passion about the wildlife and landscapes that Tasmania has to offer. We were also able to learn loads from him about the history behind some of the small towns and natural parks. “Fantastic Tour!”
The 4 day Tassie tour is great! Best start of our stay at Tasmania. Through the tour we got a good overview of the island, its nature and history. We have seen the most significant sights on the way and could therefore concentrate the rest of our stay in and around Hobart.
Trent is an amazing guide with heaps of good knowledge, patience and he knows where the best coffee places are. The hikes and sights he picks are great snd suitable for all. It is even possible to take on more challenging hikes if you wish.
The group size is super, you are with max 12 guests which fits easily in the modern van.
Although we covered a significant part of the island in just 4 days, the rides are relaxed due to many stops on the way.

Had the best time on national park walks and beaches with fellow travellers. The tour was well organised and frankly, as efficient as it can be so we can spend more time enjoying nature on walks.
Good and varied choice for accommodation too. The small group made it easy to coordinate and meet new friends! Bay of Fires, Hazards Beach and swimming and staying at Bicheno to see penguins in the wild are a personal highlight for me. I travelled solo too and have always felt safe and looked after, there are options for everyone and a variety of walks to do.

Last week I went on a fantastic 4 Day Tour of Tasmania with Wild Tasmania Tours, one of the best holiday travel decisions I've ever made.
“Fantastic tour”
I was a solo traveller on this trip, along with others travelling as couples or solo. From rainforests to mountains to beaches, and the animals, the tour covered all the beauty of Tasmania and everything I wanted to see and do. I'd originally thought of planning the whole trip myself, but I'm very glad I chose the tour given I only had a week in Tasmania. The guide and fellow travellers can make or break a tour, and Trent was exceptional while everyone in the group was great; the max of 13 people meant everything was on time and small enough to get to know everyone. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience all the highlights of Tasmania.

The itinerary was perfect and the scenery amazing — in just a few days we visited Cradle Mountain, the Bay of Fires, Freycinet National Park and many other wonderful places, seeing waterfalls, rainforests, magnificent giant trees, rock formations, lakes and wildlife including wombats, platypus, wallabies, echidnas and Tasmanian devils. “Unforgettable experience”
It was a unique and unforgettable experience for me. Trent was an extremely good tour guide with a great knowledge of cities and history, wildlife, nature and much more. The tour offered spectacular and varied destinations in a small group, which makes traveling a lot more enjoyable than many other tours. There was also plenty of humor The accommodations were generally very pleasant, but the wifi was sometimes not very good, which is not at all tragic.
To sum up, amazing tour, amazing guy, amazing adventure! The 5 stars are more than justified =) All luck for the future

“The best small group tour in Tassie”
I booked this tour as a solo traveller, and it was great! Aside from visiting national parks in Tassie, I was also able to do a lots walking and learn about the locals.
We spotted so many wild animals along the way. My favorite part is seeing wombat in Cradle Mountain and the walking track is so stunning.
I truly enjoyed the 4 days tour with Trent! He is very kind and knowledgeable! He is also very thoughtful, and are willing to go beyond! Definitely recommended!!

Amazing views, I tool a lot of photos! Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by tour guider Trent Cowan , he picked me up at my hostel which was a fanatic start! Trent is a very knowledge men and answered all of questions from our group, for that he deserves a special thanks. The scenery was breathtaking, the nature was stunning , of course very cute animals which you can explore all the way from beginning of the trip. Great local restaurants that you can have great seafood and wine, also, the food options are very Felix able. The accommodation was very comfortable, especially the balcony with the ocean views. He is extremely knowledgeable on a variety of topics, whether it be native birds and wildlife, plants and flowers, or the local history of each town or place visited on this 4 day Tasmania tour. His ability to find an elusive platypus for us to see in a creek in a small town was an impressive highlight! Trent is also happy to take questions, and I can't think of many that he couldn't answer on the spot, such is his wealth of expert knowledge.
