How it works:
Our incredible East Coast packages are made up of a combination of various tours, accommodation and bus routes. You’ll be travelling independently between each town using our amazing Greyhound bus network that we’ll book and organise for you.
We plan out your entire trip to help you save money and time and take away the fuss of making sure everything fits together seamlessly.
We’ll be staying in some of Australia’s best hostels and exploring iconic destinations such as Fraser Island, Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef with amazing guides and other like-minded travellers. No time is wasted and every dollar goes towards maximising your experience!
Day 1: Welcome to Cairns
Kick off your East Coast adventure in Cairns, where the rainforest meets the reef! Stay in a central hostel surrounded by fellow travelers, relax by the pool, or dive into the lively nightlife Cairns has to offer.

Day 2: Full Day Great Barrier Reef Tour
Step aboard Evolution, a 35-metre luxury superyacht, for a full-day Great Barrier Reef experience departing Cairns. This modern, computer-stabilised vessel is designed for a fast, smooth ride in all conditions, with spacious air-conditioned lounges and expansive sundecks where you can relax in comfort throughout the day.
You’ll visit two exclusive outer reef locations, enjoying around five hours of reef time to snorkel among vibrant coral and marine life. For those wanting a more immersive experience, there is the option to add up to three introductory or certified scuba dives. With smaller passenger numbers and carefully selected reef sites, the experience feels less crowded and more personal.
During the day, enjoy a freshly prepared BBQ buffet lunch onboard featuring seafood, prawns, steak, and salads, along with morning tea on departure. Day 4: Travel to Airlie Beach
Travel to the tropical paradise of Airlie Beach at 7:30am, arriving 5:30pm. Explore the sights, sample fresh seafood, or enjoy drinks at sunset before a night of fun.

Day 5: Airlie Beach
Spend the day exploring Airlie Beach at your own pace. Relax by the lagoon, walk along the foreshore, or enjoy the town’s laid-back coastal atmosphere. For the adventurous, consider a skydive or scenic flight over the reef.

Day 6-8: 3 Day Whitsundays Sailing Adventure
Day 1: Embark on a sailing adventure to one of the Whitsundays’ most picturesque islands. Dive into the crystal-clear waters and discover the wonders of snorkeling and scuba diving. As you sail to your first sleeping location in the protected waters of Whitsunday Island, unwind on the deck with a refreshing beer or wine and savor a freshly cooked dinner sourced locally.
Day 2: Rise and shine to a freshly cooked breakfast. Today’s activities will depend on the weather and tides. You can look forward to two additional snorkeling sessions at different beautiful locations around the islands, or opt for a quick 10-minute bush walk to Hill Inlet lookout. Capture the breathtaking view and take a leisurely stroll to the world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Indulge in a fully catered lunch and dinner during the day.
Day 3: Beach wake up early once again to enjoy breakfast and make the most of your final day in the Whitsundays. Spend more time exploring the beaches and snorkeling spots before heading back to Airlie Beach in the late afternoon. You’ll have another night’s stay at Nomads and can look forward to an epic after-party with your newfound friends.

Day 9: Travel to Rainbow Beach
Depart Airlie Beach at 5:30pm on an overnight bus for Rainbow Beach. Use the journey to relax, catch up on sleep, or review your photos. Arrive in the charming coastal town ready for the next part of your adventure.

Day 10 & 11: Explore Rainbow Beach
Arriving at 8:30am on day 10, check into your hostel and spend the next 2 days relaxing and enjoying the peaceful vibes of Rainbow Beach. Named for its multi-colored sands, it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, or have a drink at The Deck’s rooftop bar. You can also explore local hikes, ride along the beach, or enjoy casual fishing off the shore.

Day 12-14: 3 Day Fraser Island Tour
Day 1: Depart Rainbow Beach. Once you have arrived on the world’s largest sand island, drive for 1 hour to the Eurong Beach Resort along 75 Mile Beach - K’gari’s (Fraser Island) own highway with speed limits! Grab a coffee and chocolate croissant (own cost) for morning tea. From here, the adventure begins with a drive to Lake McKenzie. Stop for lunch and time to swim and relax in the clear lake waters before driving up the beach to your campsite around 3:00 pm. Settle in for an early dinner, drinks, and fun!
Day 2: Start with breakfast. Stop at Eli Creek for a swim, then visit Maheno Shipwreck for photos and a short history lesson. Continue past Indian Head to the Champagne Pools for a dip. Lunch is served at either Maheno Shipwreck or Champagne Pools. Return to camp in the afternoon for dinner and drinks.
Day 3: Breakfast before cleaning and disassembling your campsite. Walk to Lake Wabby, enjoy lunch, and drive down the beach to the barge. Return to the 4WD shed to unpack and clean the cars. Return to your hostel between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Day 14 - Hostel in Noosa
Day 15 & 16: Byron Bay
Day 15: Travel to Byron Bay at 8:30am and arrive at 6pm. Check into your hostel and spend the evening relaxing. Chill at the beach, grab a beer at Stone & Wood Brewery, or head to Wategos Beach for secluded bays and breathtaking views.
Day 16: Free day to explore. Visit the lighthouse, try a surf lesson or dolphin kayak tour, stroll through local markets, enjoy eclectic cafes, or relax at Main Beach.

Day 17: Head South to Sydney
Board the Greyhound bus at 6pm for an overnight ride to Sydney. Catch up on sleep so you can be ready to explore when you arrive at 8am.

Day 18 & 19: Explore Sydney’s Iconic Sights
Spend two days exploring Sydney, including the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Bondi Beach. Walk along the coast, swim in ocean pools, or enjoy a sunset at Circular Quay. Visit Darling Harbour, shop in The Rocks, or ferry to Manly for harbour views.

Day 20: Overnight Bus to Melbourne
Board the Greyhound bus at 5:30pm for your final overnight ride to Melbourne. Relax and get some rest before arriving at 5:30am. Plan your Melbourne activities on the bus.

Day 21: Welcome to Melbourne
Arrive in Melbourne, known for its artsy vibes and cultural charm. Wander Federation Square, visit hidden laneways, or explore coffee culture. Optionally, take a Great Ocean Road day trip.

Day 22: Free Day Melbourne
Enjoy a full free day to explore Melbourne at your own pace. Discover the city’s laneways, visit Queen Victoria Market, explore Fitzroy’s cafes and street art, or relax along the Yarra River.

Day 23: Fly to Hobart
Fly to Hobart today and check into your hostel. Spend the afternoon exploring Salamanca Place, the waterfront, or enjoying fresh seafood overlooking the harbour.

Day 24-28: 5 Day Tasmania Tour
Day 1 – Our tour of Tasmania/lutruwita takes us first to the wild West Coast, with a few beautiful short walks throughout the day. Today we’ll experience three National Parks, beginning with Mount Field and its wondrous Russell Falls and some of the world’s tallest trees. Stand on the shore of Lake St Clair (Australia’s deepest freshwater lake) which forms part of the Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park. As we travel west, you’ll be immersed in magnificent wild scenery, flanked by mountains, buttongrass plains and rainforests of the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. We’ll stop at Queenstown to learn about Tasmania’s pioneer history, before settling into our accommodations in the harbourside village of Strahan.

Day 2 – Choose between two stunning options: For an active adventure in the West Coast wilderness, join a guided walk amongst temperate rainforest and the towering Henty Sand Dunes. For a more relaxed day, opt for the Gordon River Cruise (own cost), which journeys through Macquarie Harbour, stops at Sarah Island and into the World Heritage Area to stroll amongst the ancient Huon pines. Later, visit the windswept Ocean Beach, Tasmania’s longest stretch of sand, and take in the world’s freshest air.
Overnight: Strahan Hostel
Day 3 – Today you’ll see why Cradle Mountain National Park is a world-class hiking destination. Deep within the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, this glacial carved landscape is filled with wildlife. We’ll look for wombats at Ronny Creek, then you can choose from several walking options to explore the alpine environment. Will you climb to the summit of Marion’s Lookout? Or perhaps you’ll choose to walk along the magical Dove Lake Circuit. We’ll then depart for Sheffield, the Town of Murals, before reaching one of Australia’s oldest cities, Launceston.
Overnight: Launceston Hostel
Day 4 – Explore Launceston’s beautiful Cataract Gorge. We’ll enjoy a short walk within this nature reserve only minutes from the city centre and keep our eye out for wallabies. Then, we’ll take a scenic drive to the East Coast. After lunch at St Helens, it’s time to walk along Tasmania’s best beaches, including the pristine sands and turquoise waters of the Bay of Fires/larapuna. Learn about the cultural significance of larapuna for Tasmanian aboriginal people/palawa. We will take our time enjoying the breathtaking coastal scenery before making our way down to the relaxed township of Bicheno, home of the little penguin.
Overnight: Bicheno Hostel
Day 5 – Today is dedicated to exploring the exquisite Freycinet National Park. Relax on a powder white-sand beach, walk to the Wineglass Bay beach or lookout. Alternatively, you may prefer the more challenging climb to the top of Mt Amos. From the summit you can enjoy panoramic vistas over Freycinet’s pink granite mountains, secluded coves, and coastal bushlands. We’ll look out over the Tasman Sea from the lighthouse at Cape Tourville, before following the Great Eastern Drive to Hobart/nipaluna where your tour of Tasmania comes to an end.

Day 29: Bruny Island
Enjoy a full-day escape to Bruny Island, travelling from Hobart via a scenic coastal drive and ferry crossing to this rugged island known for its dramatic coastal scenery and abundant wildlife. The day begins with a walk along the Cape Queen Elizabeth Track to Mars Bluff, where you’ll take in views over Miles Beach and the impressive Bruny Island Arch. Continue on to The Neck and climb to Trugannini Lookout for sweeping panoramic views, with time to spot local wildlife among the dunes, before heading to Adventure Bay for a relaxed lunch break by the beach.
In the afternoon, discover why Bruny Island is famous for its gourmet produce, with visits to local producers offering chocolate, honey, cheese, and fresh oysters. This leisurely tasting experience is the perfect way to explore the island’s flavours before returning to Hobart in the late afternoon after a day of scenery, walks, and local delights.

Day 30: Fly to Melbourne
Return to Melbourne and check into your hostel. Use the afternoon to relax, explore, or enjoy Melbourne’s cafes and city vibes.

Take a full day to explore Melbourne further. Visit St Kilda Beach, Royal Botanic Gardens, or spend time wandering laneways and boutique shops.

Day 32-34: 3 Day Melbourne to Adelaide Tour
Day 1 – Kick off your journey with coastal magic as you cruise along the legendary Great Ocean Road, where turquoise waters meet dramatic cliffs. Soak in the spectacular ocean views, breathe in the salty air, and keep an eye out for wild koalas along the way. Enjoy lunch in the charming seaside town of Apollo Bay before stepping into another world with a guided walk through the lush rainforest of Great Otway National Park. The thrill peaks along the Shipwreck Coast, where you'll witness the natural grandeur of the Twelve Apostles and the striking cliffs of Loch Ard Gorge. After a full day of wonder, relax for the night in the vibrant town of Warrnambool.

Day 2 – Start the day with a visit to Tower Hill, an ancient volcanic crater rich in Aboriginal heritage and teeming with native wildlife like emus and kangaroos. From here, the journey heads north into the stunning Grampians. In the afternoon, stretch your legs with a scenic hike up to the Pinnacle Lookout, where sweeping views of the Grampians National Park await.

Day 3 – Your final day begins early with a morning hike to the base of Mackenzie Falls, one of the region’s most impressive natural landmarks. Continue the adventure by visiting iconic viewpoints such as The Balconies, Reeds Lookout, and Boroka Lookout, each offering breathtaking photo opportunities. After lunch, the landscape shifts as we travel west away from the mountains, passing sights like the Dimboola Pink Lake and Nhill. We cross into South Australia through Bordertown and arrive in Adelaide by approximately 7:30 pm.

Board your overnight bus heading into the Red Centre. Sit back and relax.

Day 37: Arrive into Alice Springs
Arrive in Alice Springs and check into your hostel. Explore local galleries, the Telegraph Station, or relax before your Red Centre adventure.

Day 38-41: 4 Day Uluru Adventure
Day 1 – Alice Springs is really where you need to go to understand the heart and soul of Australia. Meet your leader and fellow travelers at the Alice Springs pick-up point this morning and set off to explore the Red Centre. Shortly after you arrive, the unmistakable Uluru will emerge from the earth as one giant boulder. After a short drive, walk off your lunch at Kata Tjuta (The Olga’s). With its 36 various-sized domes, it provides quite a contrast to Uluru. You’ll get to know the landscape pretty well on an afternoon hike between the domes. As the evening unfolds, enjoy a light snack as the sun slowly sets, casting a variety of earthy tones across Uluru. The perfect end to a remarkable day is awaiting you back at camp, as you enjoy a delicious spread of food with your group. If the weather permits, sit outside under the stars.

Day 2 – An early start this morning is rewarded with an Uluru sunrise and the sun hits the icon like a beacon, before it floods across the undulating landscape. While the morning is fresh, enjoy a walk around the base of Uluru taking in all of the textures and valleys, which isn’t evident from afar. Once you’ve had lunch, check-out some art, crafted by the First Nation Peoples from the Central and Western Desert regions. Travel onto our exclusive campsite near the Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), where the group will eat and take in the stars for the night.

Day 3 – The main attraction of Watarrka National Park is undoubtedly Kings Canyon – a humungous gorge enclosed by sheer rock walls many meters high. With its porous sandstone, deep gullies and hidden rock pools, it provides shelter to more than 600 species of native plants and animals. Your guide will point these out on a trek that takes in the canyon’s most famous locations, such as the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre, and of course North & South Walls. After lunch, we hit the road again for a three-hour drive to Yulara in the late afternoon. This evening, you have choice to enjoy one of the following optional activities; a Sunset Camel Cruise, the Field of Lights, Sounds of Silence, the Wintjiri Wiru Drone display; or if you’d like to experience the Uluru sunset from a different perspective (and free of charge), tonight is the opportunity to do it! After dinner, relax at your camp for a night under the stars.

Day 4 – After a short sleep-in, enjoy a hearty breakfast at our exclusive camp and be dropped off at 10am at Ayers Rock Airport where you can catch your flight to Perth.

Day 45-51: 7 Day Perth to Exmouth and Return
Day 1 – Perth to Kalbarri
Kick off your adventure with a guided tour of the Pinnacles Desert, an otherworldly landscape of limestone spires rising from yellow sand. After enjoying this unique natural wonder, stop for lunch by the sea before continuing up Indian Ocean Drive, taking in stunning coastal views. If time permits, we will visit the pink lake (seasonal, not guaranteed). Arrive in Kalbarri for overnight accommodation. In the evening, take a stroll along the Murchison River or relax at your accommodation after a long day of travel.

Day 2 – Kalbarri National Park to Monkey Mia, Shark Bay
Begin the day with exploration of Kalbarri National Park. Visit Murchison Gorge, Nature’s Window, and Z-Bend, where water has carved its way through sandstone, creating spectacular natural formations. Optional abseiling is available for those seeking an adrenaline rush. Enjoy the vibrant wildflowers in spring, a perfect photo opportunity. Afterward, travel to Monkey Mia for an overnight stay by the beach. Evening at leisure to enjoy the coastal sunset and relax by the water.

Day 3 – Monkey Mia to Coral Bay
In the morning, meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins for a unique wildlife encounter and photo opportunity. Spend some chill-out time on the beach or grab a coffee at the local café. Depart mid-morning and visit the fascinating Stromatolites, some of the oldest living organisms on Earth, before continuing your journey along the coast. Arrive in Coral Bay, situated right on the famous Ningaloo Reef, and settle into your accommodation. Evening free to relax and enjoy the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 4 – Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef
Enjoy a full day exploring the Ningaloo Reef at your leisure. Options include joining a guided boat tour, snorkeling among the vibrant coral gardens, or swimming with manta rays (additional cost). Spend time on the pristine beaches or stroll along the coastline, observing the shark nursery near Coral Bay. In the late afternoon, drive up the peninsula to Exmouth for a two-night stay in the town center. Evening at leisure to explore Exmouth or relax after a full day of reef adventures.

Day 5 – Exmouth and Cape Range National Park
Today offers the chance to swim with Whale Sharks (seasonal, pre-booking required) or explore Cape Range National Park, a spectacular area of rugged limestone ranges, deep canyons, and 50 km of pristine beaches. Relax on the beaches or snorkel at Turquoise Bay (snorkel hire available). Visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse for panoramic views and stop at Milyering Visitors Center for insight into the park’s ecology. Return to your accommodation late afternoon. Evening free to enjoy the town and local dining options.

Day 6 – Exmouth to Coral Bay
