Uluru is so underrated! I had an amazing, fun time camping around that beautiful area and seeing the Milky Way around the bonfire, and I made friends with a great group from all over the world. Our guide Lauren was the best — chilled, fun and well organised. Totally recommended.
“Mulga Magic”
A wonderful, superbly organised bush-camping experience with the talented and knowledgeable Nat. From pickup in Alice Springs to drop-off at the airport we were looked after really well. We spotted wild camels, wedge-tailed eagles and more. Beautiful scenery and great company — highly recommend, and bring a good sleeping bag as the nights get dewy.
“A very special trip”
Thank you Leelee for such a special trip! I tacked this tour onto the end of a stay in Alice Springs and did it solo, and had a wonderful time. Uluru, Kata Tjuṯa and Kings Canyon were all spectacular, made even more special by Leelee's commentary and storytelling. Incredible sunrises and sunsets, a lovely group, great food including vegetarian options, and some of the best stars I've ever slept under.
Great experience! Our guide Andrew was really dedicated to making everything seamless, especially getting us to viewpoints ahead of the crowds. Really yummy vegetarian food options too.

Really well run! Our guide Alex was amazing and super friendly, and the group was fun too. The skies were indescribable — I'd come back just for the Curtin Springs sunset and stargazing. Highly recommended.

The most incredible few days exploring the Red Centre with our lovely guides Leelee and Millie, who made the trip so much fun with their chilled vibes, local knowledge and excellent taste in music. Everything ran smoothly, and it was fun to pitch in with the cooking, cleaning and firewood. Stunning hikes, unreal sunsets, cosy camping and games around the fire — the group felt like a little family by the end.

Thank you Tim for the most amazing adventure — sleeping in swags under the stars hearing the dingoes howl. Tim took us all over the Red Centre: Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon, always bringing the energy and questionable jokes. I travelled the east coast including Uluru, and this was the best experience of my whole trip. It was so much more than I expected — each hike was stunning, with calm, steady exploring and fascinating insight into Aboriginal culture, and the best sunsets and sunrises I've seen. Our guide Sophie was superb, bringing joy and energy and caring deeply about her job. Cooking and cleaning together created great bonds, making it an authentic experience living in the moment, making fires and sleeping under the stars. Go, go, go — you won't regret it.

“The rock-to-rock Tour was awesome! ”
The rock-to-rock Tour was awesome! The best tourguide ever, love her sooo much. The passion she does the tour with and all the knowledge she has about the culture, the rocks and animals is just great. She is so wholesome. We were sleeping in "swags" under the stars, terrifying at the first thought but the most fun thing to do. Longdrops: thought they are bad but were actually pretty good and taken care of.
We saw wild horses and even wild camels. The food was great, everyone cooked at least once and it was such good food. Did a fire 2 nights and slept around it, what a great vibe that was.
I learned a lot on this tour. We had soooo much fun, little karaoke in the van in the end, everyone was nice, still CJ super cool is thriving for her job.
Would do it a thousand times again and recommend it to everyone.
Also speaking to people who did other tours and comparing them: Mulgas is the best to choose!
And very important book over Mulgas directly, you'll get a T-shirt in the end

This was absolutely amazing! Uluru is breathtaking but the other destinations are even more stunning if you ask me! Sleeping under the stars is just the most magical experience you can get. And the swag is pretty comfy! You really become a family in these days because you’ll do everything together; cooking, collecting wood, cleaning, packing it’s just awesome. My guide was CJ and I couldn’t have wished for a better guide. She was so lovely and she made sure the atmosphere in the group was always really nice. She was really enthousiastic and told us a lot of information and stories which was so nice!! She really loves her job and you’ll enjoy it as much as she does, she will make sure that’ll be the case haha. 10/10 would recommend!

Most amazing tour I've done! Exceeded my expectations by sleeping under the stars in a SWAG (aka a giant sleeping bag where you can watch the stars as you fall asleep around the fire)
CJ was the best tour guide; telling us the aboriginal stories of the land around us, crazy facts about the land and animals and was so much fun to be around! She took great care of us all and made this trip to remember!
I would highly recommend Mulgas Adventures as it's a small family owned company where you are well taken care of! 10/10!

“Amazing tour guide”
I went to on a a trip led by Milly and Rachael. They both were amazing. They were so organised and knowledgeable but really fun and hilarious at the same time. They were really enjoyable to be around and made everything really fun. The trip itself is excellent you get to experience Uluru and Kings Canyon. You’re sleeping under the stars each night in a swag. You’re never hungry and constantly filled with snacks. Thank you guys for an amazing few days.

Thanks for an amazing Trip to the Outback! I can highly recommend to book the mulgas adventure trip to sleep under the desert stars. Our tourguides Milly and Rachel made sure that everyone had a good time. Both were so lovely and told us a lot about Uluru, the culture and the outback. Due to rainy weather the trip itinerary had to change slightly but this meant we got to see some areas that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Best thing I’ve done on my backpacking trip so far. Such a great group of people, made some friends and memories I’ll always remember.
Our driver, chef and tour guide was Rachel who was amazing. Food was great. Great fun, friendly so much knowledge of the area. Ask her for the backstory on what is visited more than Uluru that big red rock, it’s got something to do with Mulga, but I’ll let her explain that one.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The tour was a perfect mix of education, fun and adventure. Our tour guide, Rachel, was super knowledgeable & easygoing. We were well fed at all times, the swag bags were surprisingly comfortable and the campsites were well equipped with everything you could need (showers, toilets, electricity, running water). We managed to spot so many different wild animals and it felt like we were getting a very authentic outback experience. I was blown away by all the hikes, stargazing, sunrises & sunsets. You will not regret booking this tour!!

I started the tour from Ayers Rock Airport. (On a side note, there is no possibility to buy food at the airport)
Mulga Adventures has put together a breathtaking tour. Each day outdid the previous day and was beautiful and memorable. The camping in the open air was also very special and brought us together as a group. Alex our tour guide did a fantastic job leading the tour and cooked us excellent food!!!

“Wonderful tour guide!”
Our tour guide was approachable, friendly and helpful. If someone in the group needed something she was always willing to help. I couldn’t do all of the walks due to health conditions and she was able to suggest alternative routes for me to do and checked in on me. She went over and above to make sure we had a fun experience on the tour. Her jokes (whilst awful sometimes) always made us laugh and kept the group in good spirits. I really appreciate how she made an effort for us to see the Michelin tree despite us all being tyred.

I joined Mulgas on their Rock-to-Rock camping trip, and it was a magical experience.
Arriving with 44 degree temperatures or wonderful tourguide Liv, did the absolute best to keep us hydrated and well fed! No-one got dehydrated or over heated, and when someone just even show the slightest symptoms she was on it to keep us safe.
There was so much food and (ice cold) water supplied that we had a hard time finishing everything; you go Mulgas!

The tour was very well designed. Rachel is an excellent guide. She is professional and knowledgeable and fun and energetic. She made the tour enjoyable all the way. She loves her job and is proud to work for the company she values a lot. The food was very good and plentiful. The hikes were well timed. We could escape the heat of the day by walking very early in the mornings. We have seen beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The campsites were good. Sleeping in swags wasn't the most comfortable thing I must say, but it wasn't as bad as we feared. I would recommend this tour and this company to anybody!

“The Australian Dream”
Just returned with a group of friends on the 3 night rock to rock tour. A busy few days packed with stunning landscapes, hikes and views of the outback. Everything I envisioned of outback Australia is on this tour. Roughing it in a swag under the stars was so worth it to really divulge into the outback life.
Biggest shout out goes to our tour guide James. A young, approachable, witty , laid back guy who made us all laugh throughout. Although a pretty chill guy, he kept us on our toes and kept the whole thing moving on time and smoothly. A tour can not operate without a down to earth , dedicated guide and I don’t believe our experience would have been the same without him.

“Rock to Rock Tour”
I did the Rock to Rock tour with three of my friends. We had the best time travelling the outback and experiencing the real Australian lifestyle. Our tour guide James was very accommodating and knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. He cooked us up some great meals especially the potatoes which we were a huge fan of!! “A great experience with a fantastic tour guide”
I did the tour with a friend and it was a full group of us (around 20). We got picked up from our hostel in Alice Springs which was no hassle at all and met our tour guide Cara. She was so lovely and very knowledgeable! We drove 5 hours to Uluru and camped for the next 3 nights across different campsites.
This was our first time camping properly in swags and in the bush but Cara was really lovely and made us feel at ease and made the whole experience so much more enjoyable!
Overall, would highly recommend and had a great experience & met some lovely people.

“Fabulous outback experience”
The rock to rock mulgas tour is a true experience. A jam packed 3 days seeing uluru, Kata Tjuṯan and kings canyon. Including beautiful view points, sunrise and sunsets, views of mount Connor and a chance to meet camels - a thoroughly friendly and hilarious adventure. Swag camping is surprisingly comfortable, we sang songs around campfire and cooked lovely meals plus bonus Tim tam cake on the fire. Our guide Leelee took fab care of us and was very knowledgeable and respectful of indigenous culture and great fun to be around. Thanks mulgas!

“A Trip to Remember”
I’m giving this trip 5 stars because it was well earned. Our trip with Malgas was to Uluru, Kata Tjuṯa and Kings Canyon. In short, it was great. We were picked up at the Airport and although there was a delay (which was out of the companies control), the trip continued as planned. I’m 22 and to be honest it was a really fun experience. From the sites we saw, to sleeping under the stars, to the laughs, and the stories shared by the campfire it was all amazing! There wasn’t a moment that we weren’t doing something worth while. I also enjoyed that it was a participatory trip, as it got people involved; this included gathering wood and prepping dinner.
Rachel (our guide) made the trip better. She was knowledge, respectful, attentive and above all, she was friendly and really brightened up the camp and bus atmospheres. Rachel was prompt and ensured that we always arrived on time, especially for sunrises, as they could be busy. A highlight for me was her educating us on the history of the Anangu Aborigional people as well as pointing out the fossils at Kings Canyon (they were very neat)!
The only thing, even though this trip is all said and done, I still am wondering ‘wtf’s a mulga?’

Myself and my boyfriend did the 3 day tour of Uluru, Kata Tjuṯan and Kings canyon it was amazing and the places were surreal. Our tour guide Laura was incredible and really made the experience 10 times better. She brought great vibes, was super organized and made sure we had the best experience out there. We had campfires and even guitar music as we roasted marshmallows all thanks to Laura. She told stories, gave us so many interesting facts and secured us the best spots for sunrises and sunsets. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Muglas again!!

“Perfect Uluru rustic experience - everything organised - amazing”
I recently did the Mulgas tour with my partner and a friend. We are late 20s to early 30s and we absolutely loved the experience. If you don't mind early mornings (5am starts) camping in a swag underneath the stars then this is absolutely the trip for you.
If you prefer being completely comfortable and enjoying luxury - I don't recommend. This is definitely better suited to explorer / adventurer type people.
The first day we were picked up by our amazing tour guide, Phil, from Uluru airport. We spent the arvo / evening sipping bubbly by the famous Uluru. We then spent the first night at a campsite under the stars. It was COLD. I STRONGLY recommend bringing your own sleeping bag that's graded for sub zero (if going in winter). I was very toasty and warm, however some people who rented a sleeping bag and didn't have great warm clothes said they felt cold. Another tip is also bringing a hot water bottle and putting that at the bottom of your sleeping bag. Can't go wrong if you've got that! The tour guide Phil had a continuous boil water jug thing, so plenty of hot water available.
The next morning we watched sunrise at Kata Tjuṯa. It was so beautiful. We then did the valley of the winds walk. It was a super leisurely walk which, so long as you're mobile, you should be able to do just fine.
The last day we were at Kings Canyon which was absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful places ever.
Our final night we were in a very secluded camping spot with just an outhouse style dunny. When you imagine "camping in the outback" this is 100% the experience I had in mind. Phil whipped out a guitar and we had a sing-a-long by the fire, toasting marshmallows under the stars. Was a weekend that I'll remember for the rest of my life.
Oh and also me and my partner are vegan and my partner has the appetite of a baby horse and it's safe to say we were well fed, (he even said he felt full which is rare!) plenty of protein and we even got to enjoy pancakes on our last morning. Really can't fault the tour at all. Phil was full of knowledge, friendly and so hard working. You can see he has a lot of pride in making sure people have a good experience. 10/10 would recommend this tour.

“Uluru trip 07/07”
One of the best tours I've been on! Our tour guide Leelee was great, she was really informative about the area and ran everything smoothly. She was great fun, I really enjoyed her playing the guitar and singing around the campfire! She was very organised and always keen to tell us stories and facts about the hikes and area.
The camps were much better equipped than I thought and even the campground on the last night being remote was one of my best nights. The stars were incredible and I will never forget the clear views of the milky way.
Our group was a nice mix of people and everyone was friendly and fun.
The hikes were incredible and Leelee made sure we got there early so we missed the crowds and got the best views of the sunrises/sunsets, which were some of the best I've seen!
I would definitely recommend this trip, I have left with many friends and memories!

“One of the best tours ever!”
The tour was so much fun! Our guide Laura was very experienced and knew all the right spots for the right timing. She was prepared for long rides with fun games which also connected the group. She also told us about the history and geographical development of the area. We saw everything we expected to see and more. It was also nice that it wasn't a "luxury" tour but more like camping which is better suited for young people.

“Uluru with Mulgas is definitively a good idea”
I did a solo trip at Uluru and it was GREAT time with the guide Laura that showed the greatest Outback places, that cooked the best meals out of nowhere, that woke us up with the best songs, drove us along the desert with always a big smile and a good mood.
Sleeping in a swag was an experience I will always remember, such as the people met and the places visited.

“Great for solo travellers”
Had the best time on the four day tour - Rachel was our guide and I couldn't recommend her enough. She was super knowledgeable, fun, and made sure we all had the best time possible, even adding an extra trip to Uluru for the girls whose flight got delayed and missed it on the first day. The tour itself was great too - you get to see all the main sights and camp under the stars, which was incredible. The group was mostly solo travellers so everybody was really sociable and got on really well. Wasn't sure whether or not to do Uluru but I'm glad I did!

“A dream come true ”
I don't regret to choose this tour cause I spent the most beautiful time in my life.
We were guided by Taylor who made a wonderful work during all those days! We haven't seen just the Uluru, we also learned about aboriginal culture, and the geology of this land.

“Fell in Love with the Red Rock Center!”
The Mulgas Tour has been the highlight of my month of traveling so far! There is so much beauty in the desert and the tour helps you experience the best of it. Sleeping under the stars was incredible. Sunsets and sunrises are not to be missed. I made great bonds with the group in the short 3 days and didn’t want the experience to do.

I went on the Mulgas Adventure Tour, and it was really amazing. Breathtaking views, saw the best sunset in my life with a DOUBLE RAINBOW!! And of course sleeping under shooting stars. Liv was as knowledgeable about the Outback as a dingo is about digging holes. If you're looking for an adventure that's more Aussie than a kangaroo playing the didgeridoo, Mulgas is your go-to! Ewel, our tour guide, organised a wonderful once in a lifetime trip! He looked after us so noone would faint due to dehydration, cooked lovely food, told stories about the history, aboriginal people and Australian culture. He kept the plan open and it started raining which is really rare in Uluru, we went to see the beautiful waterfalls and the rainy Uluru. Would truly recommend this trip to everyone who has some adventure spirit in them and is open for some cool hikes, sleeping in the swags under the stars and in general for some unique experiences!

Good value for money. The food was great and plenty of it. The views were amazing - especially the sunrises and sunsets. Hikes around Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon were enjoyable and not too difficult. Sleeping in a swag was better than I thought it would be and worth it for the star gazing. Our group had a fabulous time, Phil rescued a baby Joey whilst on our way to Uluru which was an amazing thing to see & despite the fact we had rain, thunder and lightning at times- Phil kept the tour fun and updated us with any changing plans. “Trip of a lifetime! You will not regret it!!!”
This was the best trip ever! I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to book it at first but I am SO glad I did! Liv was an amazing tour guide and was super knowledgeable about everything there was to explore and talk about. She always made sure our safety came first and brought the energy the whole time, even during the early mornings and rainy days (which were both totally worth it!). Our group was lucky enough to see waterfalls and lightning storms at Uluru, plenty of wildlife, and a rainbow over the canyon. I was looking in the internet an organized tour for Ayers Rock and when I found the Mulgas' one I was a bit scared to go because I was alone. I'm grateful I did it because I found amazing people! I have to say that Alex (the guide) was great! He loves what he does and he made sure we always felt good in what we were doing. I've never done camping before (and it's probably not my favourite thing) but I must admit that experiencing the outback in the way this tour allows you to experience it, it's wonderful. “Best way to explore the outback!”
The tour was really well planed and took us to all of the highlight places with well chosen timing too with different Uluru lookouts for sunrises and sunsets as well as “bigger” hikes in the morning before the midday heat. BEST TOUR EVER!! Each day just got better and better. The walks were stunning and the views of sunrise and sunset were spectacular. Our tour guide, Alex, was amazing. This trip was unlike anything I've ever experienced - truly magical. There is something about the outback, and Uluru-Kata Tjuta in particular that draws you in and leaves a mark on your heart. The locations visited were insanely beautiful, and the campsites were super well equipped, finishing up with a proper bush camp on our last night.
Meals are great and there’s always more than enough, same with water and snacks (I did bring a few extras but cookies, fruits, & nut bars were given by our tour guide before and after every hike).

“Magnificent tour of Australia's red center”
We had an excellent time with Mulgas, touring the outback. We had many beautiful walks, scenic sunset viewings, and tasty Australian dinners. Although sleeping in the swag under the stars took some getting used to, it was an amazing experience in the end. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to till date, the campsites were nice and clean, had a night where we went off the grid which was great, had amazing food and bbqs. Very well organised and ou tour guide Alex Tolcher was so wonderful, very friendly and passionate about his role.
He shared so much of his knowledge and the stories that were aloud to be told.
I went in September, weather was great, windbreaker recommended and a hat for the night.
The swagg was very warm and comfortable, loved sleeping under the starts. Fresh fruit and snacks after hikes, dinner and lunch was good too.
The sunrise and hikes definitely worth the early wake up.
I for sure will go again with the Mulgas. Can't wait for my next trip!

“Just do this tour!”
Canyon was more challenging than the previous 2 days' walks. Our amazing tour guide, Liv, however, took care of everyone, even those of us who were a bit anxious about our ability to do the walk. Liv offered alternatives to the challenging walks, but reassured us that we could manage, and then guided us gently through each part of the walk and we all managed fine thanks to her patience and encouragement. None of us had to do an alternative walk, and we felt so proud of ourselves after. And it was honestly the most stunning of the walks - steep at the beginning, but not so bad after that.
We stopped frequently along the way to hear information, take photos, have snacks (provided again by Liv). And when we reached the end of the walk, about 9.30am, there were more refreshing snacks for us in the trailer (and we were back in reach of the toilets again).
After that, it was back to Kings Creek campsite for a cruisy rest of the morning and then lunch. A great moment to shower again, because after lunch we packed up and headed back to Curtain Springs - a 2 hours drive, plus a stop to view Mt Conner at the look out, and another stop to once again collect firewood. We stopped at Curtain Springs car park where we could use the toilets and buy a drink or something from the shop, and then back on the bus and drove to our campsite on the property. This campsite was a "bush camp" - no amenities. For a toilet, there is a hole in the ground and a tin shed (no door) around it, with a bench and toilet seat over the hole. So, better than just a hole, or having to find and coordinate with a bush, but still not something you want to use more than necessary. But if you can use the proper toilets when you arrive at Curtain Springs, and then just hold on and go once before bed (not too challenging), then in the morning, you get up at a very leisurely 6am and pack up the camp and are driven back out to the carpark and real toilets by 6.30am, so "bush dunny" use is minimal.
The night spent at the "bush camp" was lovely and relaxed. We had all gotten to know each other a bit by now, and there were some nice typical camp shenanigan's - a guitar appeared for a sing along, we roasted marshmallows, those of us who still had a beer in the esky finished them off, the Australians taught the international tour-mates the Nutbush.
In the morning, it was a slightly later start, as I said - most people were awake before Liv came to woke us up (the sun was rising, so we woke naturally - luxury!). Then to the toilets in the car park, as I mentioned, before the drive back to our original Yulara campsite, where we had an hour and a half to have breakfast, and go and shower in the good shower block, collect any bags that had been locked away, and reorganise ourselves.
At 9am, Liv drove us all back to the resort, dropped everyone off at Sails in the Desert hotel where there is a roped-off bag-storage area for each flight out of Uluru - and it has a sign for which flight which area is for, and what time the bus leaves from there - so everyone could leave their bags and go and enjoy the Yulara Town Centre for their last hour or so, buy some food or souvenirs etc. My husband and I got dropped off at the Camp Grounds again though, which I really appreciated. Honestly, Liv was so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable.
We stayed at the resort an extra day, and so we got to see people who were staying in the hotels and just doing little bus trips out to see things and back, and we thought - wow... how great was our Mulga's tour? We REALLY got to experience this place. And for the price? We got so much more value than any of the other tours available. For example, we went out and did the segway tour the next day, as I mentioned, and it was... okay. Nothing compared to our walking tour with Liv. So grateful for Mulga's amazing tour!
Hints:
- Buy a 3L water bladder to carry on your back rather than have water bottles - much easier.
- Make sure you have sunscreen, hat and a day bag to carry.
- I recommend bringing thongs/flip flops/sandals so you can take your shoes of after a long walk.
- A jacket is good for the early mornings - we had puffer jackets because they pack down quite small and are very light.
- we brought power banks to charge our phones (since they are also our cameras) but Liv did provide us with a bit charging station in the kitchen for those who needed it.
- Blisters may very well happen - be prepared.
- Just do this tour!

I loved the tour! At the beginning the idea of sleeping in a swag was a bit scary but I ended up loving it. Sleeping under stars, next to the bonfire and with my friends was an experience I will never forget. The hikes, stargazing and camping were incredible. “Awesome experience in the heart of Australia”
Mulgas offers us a unique and must-do experience in life. Olivia, our guide, was gentle, and organised and led us to so many scenery places that no photo can describe. She always shared important knowledge about the land, plants, animals, aboriginal culture as well as many funny stories. The camping experience made the relationship within the group of previously unknown people grow stronger and the local food experience was amazing. I would suggest adding a pair of garden gloves as required equipment, once it makes the wood collection safer.

“Great value outback adventure”
My wife and I (early 30s) did the 3-day rock tour (starting from Alice Springs) and had an amazing time and would highly recommend! The itinerary was extremely well organised, and we packed in far more than we could have self-arranged but with perfect cadence (Kings Canyon on the last day was a highlight for us!) Our tour guide Lauren was fantastic, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and clearly doing her best to maximise enjoyment of everyone in the group. A great mix of medium difficulty hiking (~7km half days with early starts, which is all you need in the hot conditions) and campfire and bbq (ample food and snacks provided throughout the day). Sleeping in a swag around the campfire under the stars was a highlight and super comfy. “Magic place”
I went for the first time to Uluru with Mulgas and I had such an amazing time. Camping all the nights under the desert stars made the trip even more special. Uluru is magic and be there was one of the best experience I have ever had. Our guide Laura is incredible, she gave us a class about aborigine culture and geology. She is really funny, lovely and she loves what she does and it makes everything more meaningful.

This tour is a must do on a trip to Australia! Our guide Olivia was fantastic! She was so knowledgable about the local history and geography and brought so much fun to the group! We managed to see three sunsets and sunrises which were all equally special. All the hikes were stunning and I loved learning about all the local stories and about the plants and animals we saw. Incroyableeeee !! A One Life Time expérience. James, our guide, had so much to share on Indigenous culture.
I came alone and meet amazing people. James was always with the smile ! We cooked together Camel and Kangaroo and then eat it together around the fire. Sleeping below the stars was incredible. This trip is more than hiking and meet people, it is also to learn about the Indigenous culture. “Best tour so far”
The best tour I had so far. Loved the the hikes (especially on day 3). Not too hard, but really pretty. I was really worried about getting cold at night, but with enough layers of clothes and the sleeping bags and swags it was fine.
Phil was an amazing tourguide and made the experience.
For the full experience I’d highly recommend doing the 4 day tour, because the last night is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The food was really good (especially the pancakes, Phil) and loved to try the kangaroo steak and camel burger.

I love the itinerary, being a 40+ solo traveler I enjoyed the outback fire and sleeping under the stars experience.
We were well fed, and very lucky to have James (ex 2 Michelin* chef) to bake the best damper!
James was well prep in all aspect of the trip. Managing many young travellers takes patience. Well done. Also, his personal respect for the land and appreciation for natures radiates through out the tour, which made it special especially in uluru.

Best group tour I’ve ever been on! The scenery was of course incredible everywhere we went and we had great weather, but what really made the trip was our amazing tour guides. James and Simon were explaining the history and culture of each place that we went to, and had such a great energy about them which really influenced the rest of the group. I especially loved the last evening around the fire where James played this didgeridoo and put on a guided meditation for us while we watched the stars. 10/10 amazing experience!!!

“Lovely Outback Tour”
Luke, our tour guide, was by far the kindest, funniest, and best engaged guide I've ever had on a tour. I thought I was unfortunate sitting in the front of the bus next to the driver when we first hopped on the tour at the Uluru airport, but Luke was very good at shooting the sh*t and willing to answer any questions I could throw at him. He proved to be very knowledgeable, coordinated various personalities well, and helped handle logistical issues for some of the tour guests without disrupting the whole tour. Most important, Luke was engaging and funny; there was not one moment on this tour where I was not having fun.

“Amazing Rock to Rock trip”
Had a great rock to rock camping trip with our guide Simon. He was a great guide and knew a lot about the places where we stayed and the areas we visited. Everything wad very well arranged, also the vegetarians meals. The pub quiz during a long ride, chocolate cake cooked on the camp fire, and breakfast in Swag were the cherries on the cake. The swags were surprisingly comfortable. Only the packing list we got upfront was not too clear and if we were able to bring our large backpacks or not (yes you can bring them but you have to put them in a storage. Take a smaller bag for the trip itself).

“An amazing bush experience!”
Uluru for sunrise was beautiful but my favourite was Uluru on the first night. Our group got to know each other and watch the sunset, chips dips and bubbles, a great start to the adventure.
I was a little nervous about sleeping in a swag but it was worth it when I saw the stars, make sure to bring a pillow.
Our tour guide Phil was awesome. Super organised, chatty, kind and knowledgeable. Straight away he got to know all of us, he project managed all our activities, camp, road trips, toilet breaks and snacks stops, (cut up fruit, apples, cereal bars, chips, dips, Tim tams - Phil had thought of it all) seamlessly, our group gelled well as a result. He answered many questions teaching us about all the beautiful places we explored. Tunes on the bus were decent too.

“Rock to Rock”
This was a sensational four day experience. Simon our tour guide is knowledgeable, funny, personable and made the experience so genuine and fun. The group was mixed with young people of all ages and if you’re not young it doesn’t matter you just need to be young at heart. Sleeping in swags was an experience but after seeing so many shooting stars it is absolutely worth the experience.
The food was good and catered for dietary needs, being gluten free this added peace of mind. The Kings Canyon hike, finished by bush camp sleeping made it the most memorable day. I am so glad I did this tour and recommend it anyone who is up for true Outback adventure

We have booked the trip online and had an once in a lifetime experience. The tour guide picks you up either in Alice Springs or Ayers Rock Airport (I would highly recommend flying to Ayers Rock Airport). The camps sites are really nice and the swags are cosy. The walks are not too long and the views are stunning. Sunrise and sunset at Uluru will take your breath away. Moreover, you will learn a lot about the indigenous peoples’ culture. If you’re lucky you will have Liv as your guide :) She is lovely and spreads positive vibes all the time. This was an amazing trip to the red centre that was so much fun from start to finish. Rachel was a brilliant and knowledgable guide and helped the group to gel so well. All of the sights were fantastic to explore and learn about and there were amazing views, sunrises and sunsets. “Best way to see the Red Centre”

“Wonderful tour guide”
Probably the best tour in Australia! I loved every second of it - the views, the people, the wonderful tour guide Lauren, the food, the bush wees,... did I mentiond Lauren? “Great tour!”
A great trip for anyone who wants to experience wild camping in the bush and sleeping under the stars. You get to see the amazing landscapes of kings canyon, and uluru, sunrises, sunsets, whilst doing hikes early to avoid the heat means plenty of time to chill in the middle of the day. it's a long drive to kings canyon and back but worth it, and bush camp on the last evening is an incredible experience.

“Definitely worth it”
t was one of the best tours! I was honestly so surprised of how much experience you get, for your money. You get to sleep under the stars and the view is amazing! It’s also not too crowded, cause the tour looks after the time and tries to time it right. Also the hikes were totally okay even though it was 41 degrees, cause we were doing it in the morning when the sun wasn’t quite up yet.
I would totally recommend it!

“Amazing visit to Uluru and surrounds with Janner”
I joined this tour in Alice Springs and was promptly picked up by Janner our driver and guide. From the start Janner was very easy going, very approachable and very knowledgeable. He was very patient with us and gave us plenty of time at each destination. We felt safe at all times with Janner as our guide. This tour was a great way to see the highlights of Uluru and surrounds for those short on time and limited with transportation options. Sleeping under the stars in swags was a great experience and the facilities at the camp sites were great, very clean! The tour was well paced, and we never felt rushed. The food provided was also top notch, we were able to sample some local meats. I would highly recommend this tour. Amazing value. Thanks for such a fun trip Janner!

I was apprehensive about the trip ahead, heading to the red centre in the summer, during a heatwave...I thought it would be unbearable. And the heat was crazy! But the experience was so worth while and so well managed. Janner was the best tour guide I could have imagined. He ensured the whole trip ran smoothly, without stress or any surprises. He kept us well informed, well fed and well educated on the area and history etc. We were blown away by how hard he worked at all hours! The desert sunrises and sunsets were worth the long hours. “Magical”
This tour with Laura as a guide was breathtaking! A once in a lifetime experience to remember. We saw rainbows above the canyons, lightnings above Uluru, horses and dingo’s on the road and heaps of other indescribable magical views.
The tour is incredible well organized. Our guide is so experienced, that she knows how to react on the weather as well. We were sleeping outside under the stars, woke up early to catch the sunrises and to get ready for our hikes before the heat would kick in. When the rain came around, she knew what to do and made sure that we wouldn’t get soaked.
We went to the best places for a nice picture, were first in line for the parks and viewpoints and the music and humor at the bus was beyond! ;)
Don’t think twice before booking this tour. Don’t even think, just do it. You won’t regret!

Difficult to describe in a few words how incredible this trip was! In a small group we could build a wonderful human connection, our guide Janner created a really safe and enjoyable environment :) not to mention how surreal it was to go to sleep under the stars and wake up during the sunset in the middle of the outback. Absolutely awesome trip, a must do in Australia. Every hike and view was stunning, and being outback, sleeping under the beautiful stars makes it so much better.
You think you come to see Uluru, but that's not even the nicest thing to see (It's stunning don't get me wrong). The milky way, the sunsets and sunrises, Kata Tjuta and King's Canyon, enjoying the company of group members from all over the world, the whole experience is great, mainly thanks to the very good organization.
The group was awesome as well, almost only young backpackers. The spirit was great, everyone mixed in, and the evenings around the fire were very enjoyable.
Janner was just an incredible guide, bringing us so much knowledge, answering precisely every question, very easy-going and nice. He gave us so much comfort during the trip (like nice fresh fruits at the end of hikes, perfectly prepared dinners...), I wasn't expecting it.
The food was very good as well, there were more than enough for everyone, snacks in the hikes, and it was very good for vegans too !
I could write a lot more about it, my head is full of great souvenirs, thank you so much !

I’m so happy that I chose Mulga’s. It looked great on paper and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Olivia did a spectacular job wrangling every possible type of personality (and possibly one non personality) to ensure we all came away with a fabulous and memorable experience.
The natural phenomenon of Uluṟu, Kata Tjuta and the awe inspiring Kings Canyon really speak for themselves, but the organisation of the trip, the food and the genuine helpfulness and friendliness of Olivia made it absolutely perfect. I would give ten stars if I could.

Really incredible time with Mulgas. No time is wasted on the tour and everyone is made to feel welcome. We had a great time walking around Uluru and a beautiful evening watching the sunset. “3 days in The Red Centre”
Did the 3 days Uluru tour from Alice Springs with Laura, a bundle of energy in a compact package, kept 24 of us in the straight line. We helped with the fire woods collection from the wild, chopping, cooking, washing, rolling up the swags etc, it's an experience in itself!
Laura was knowledgeable and informative about the local tales and lore, funny while organising some games when doing the long drive.
This tour would be best suited for those hiking enthusiasts, proper hike around Valley Of The Winds and Kings Canyon, in the early pitch dark freezing morning, thought I walked a lot back home, but this was like going up on uneven stone steps at some points, which made me realised that I am consistent when it comes to steps, I don't do steps!

“Awesome Red Centre Camping Adventure”
An absolutely fabulous experience. My husband and I are in our 50s and enjoyed all the activities of the 4 day tour, including hiking around Uluṟu, Kata Tjuta, and King’s Canyon, the sunset opportunities and the whole outback camping experience.

I finally decided to make the trip to see Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Watarrka National Parks with Mulgas adventures. It is breathtaking. A must do.
What I loved about Mulgas adventures was the simplicity. Camping under the stars - captivating. Unforgettable.
Our guide Michael was brilliant -super friendly, experienced, considerate and extremely thorough but most importantly, has an appreciable sense of humour. Great mix of history, local knowledge and personal stories to keep us engaged and entertained.
Food was delicious and being a vegetarian, I was well catered for.
This is my first time to the outback but definitely won't be my last.
Also a great mix of people of all ages and backgrounds. Definitely good for solitary wonderers.

“Unforgettable trip”
Fantastic trip. So well organised, so much fun and Rachel was such a great guide. Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon were even more awesome in real life than we'd imagined and the camping under the stars was a great experience - swags were simple but perfect around the campfire. Rachel cooked up a storm and the group got on famously with age, country and background no barrier. We are active late 50s and found the walks were relatively easy, but there were a couple of people who struggled a bit on the steep steps up to Kings Canyon so you do need a moderate level of fitness.

“Best tour great experience and amazing views”
I joined the tour with a group of friends and most of us had no camping experience at all. Our guide Nicole had made our first camping experience interesting, exciting and unforgettable. We pick up the wood, cook our meals, clean our dishes and relax around the bonfire. It's the best experience ever. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is willing to involve themselves into the whole camping activities. This tour may not suit for someone who is waiting to be served :)
Last but not the least, the scenery at uluru and King Canyon are both breathtaking.

“Down (Under) and Dirty”
Laura was a top guide, super knowledgeable and considered her passengers safety, wellbeing and enjoyment. Bit of a trickster making the trip extra special. True blue Aussie Larrikan. Highly recommend travelling with Mulgas Adventures for an authentic Australian outback experience. I'm vegetarian and the food was brilliant, all dietary requirements catered for. A little bit of fitness and a lot of water go a long way in enjoying the Red Centre.

“Great experience with Laura!”
One of the best trips ever! We just finished the 3 day rock trip with Laura. She is a legend with endless energy and an incredible playlist. We loved seeing the dark skies at night, the early sunrises, and the sunset over Uluru! I have to admit, I was a little skeptical of sleeping in an open swag outdoors; but it was a truly amazing experience.

“A true blue camping adventure”
This is a fabulous trip, very competitively priced, and gives you the full Aussie experience of swagging out under the stars. Our guide Michael was super knowledgeable and brought an excitement that was contagious. The trip was a wonderful combination of hikes, sights, Aussie food and campfires. Thoroughly recommend for anyone who wants the red centre camping experience organised conveniently for them.

“Great tour of Uluru!”
I had a wonderful time on the 3-day camping trip with Mulgas Adventures. The scenery was breathtaking and the tour guide, Laura, was spectacular! She was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the local culture, geography, geology and biodiversity. She also had the perfect song for very situation. I am vegan and she did a good job ensuring I was well fed and worked with me to ensure there was plenty of options for me and the other veggies on the trip.

“Absolutely positively awesome!!!”
I recently did the 3 day/night camp/hike tour with Mulgas Adventures and I can say that this is one adventure camp tour i will never forget. Right from getting off the plane to the last day was just an awesome experience right through.
Our camp group had Laura as our tour guide and she is bloody fantastic she's knowledgeable, practical, funny and an amazing cook aswell and just a real good sort she can do it all!!
From Uluru to Kata-Tjuta and Kings Canyon-Watarrka Laura ensured we got to see and experience the natural beauty of these wonderful sites and was able to educate us about the history along the way. She ensured we stayed ahead of other tour companies operating at the same time.
This tour camp is also a great way to meet people make friends etc and by the end of it with most coming from different backgrounds/nationalities we all got on like a house on fire in the end.
You will also experience real camping from sleeping near bonfires in swags open air under the stars it was just magical.
Thanks to Laura and the owners of Mulgas for such an unforgettable tour and camp experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a real authentic camping, hiking tour adventure! A+++

“Awesome experience and the Bestest Guide Nicole”
Did the 3 day trip to ULURU, KINGS CANYON AND VALLEY OF THE WINDS. The experience was awe inspiring and very humbling. Such a majestic and calm place to go to. Words will not do any justice nor will any photos. Please go there if you have the opportunity when you are in Alice Springs.
Our beautiful guide Nicole was an excellent motivator getting us up early to ensure we did not miss out on the great experience. Excellent cooking skills and even shared the secret potato bake recipe as well as the bush bread. Excellent meals were prepared however this was not the reason for the trip.
This is certainly the trip to go where you can experience nature at its finest and it makes one feel so insignificant on the grand scheme of things. Certainly a privelege to experience nature like this at its finest and Nicole made the experience even better.

“Amazing!”
Went on Mulgas four day tour to Uluru with my sister! Such an amazing time. Uluru was far more amazing then I imagined and all the hikes were stunning. What made it so special was our wonderful tour guide Ben who made the experience exciting and entertaining through out! We had a great mix of people from different ages and backgrounds so this tour is suitable for pretty much everyone. Would recommend to everyone!

“Brilliant”
We had a fantastic time on the three day tour. Our guide, Janner, was amazing! He made sure everything ran smoothly and was an excellent communicator. He had extensive knowledge of the area and made sure we were in the best place at the perfect time. We were with a really great group of 22 people and it was fun to get to know them all. It was so good not to have to drive those huge distances but have a very capable guide look after it all.

“Authentic Australian outback experience!”
I'm not much of a "camper" - as evidenced by the fact that the tour bus picked us up from a Hilton!! So I will admit that the idea of sleeping in swags under the stars did have me worried at first - but I'm so glad that I did it!
My sister and I took the tour and were picked up by our tour guide Jesse. Reading the comments it was pretty apparent that any tour experience can be made/ruined by the guide and I have to say that the only reason why I enjoyed the trip as much as I did was Jesse. He is a class act - picking some solid tunes for the journey, educating us on the Indigenous significance of the various sites, sharing stories on his experience in Alice Springs and most importantly (for me anyways...!) serving up some amazing meals. Not to mention at the end of the tour, as he was dropping us off to our respective hotels in Alice Springs, he invited the entire group out for an evening social in-town!
Kudos go to Mulgas Adventures for accommodating our Vegan and Vegetarian diets and not just giving us the stereotypical salad and tofu dishes. I really appreciated how there was a plant based protein option at lunch and dinner, plant-based milk for breakfast and never a shortage of food. Given the amount of hiking we were doing over those 3 days - energy was essential and Jesse made sure we were all taken care of.
I should also say that the Mulgas has taken the guesswork out of the tour experience. Everything that you need to bring/consider is clearly outlined on their website and their confirmation e-mail. There were never any surprises. There were VERY early mornings - and while I may not be a morning person, I certainly appreciated the reward of grabbing a front seat for a sunrise or being finished a hiking trail before the sun (and the bugs) got too intense.
The tour attracts a fairly younger crowd which helps build some level of comradery. Jesse also did a great job of facilitating conversations in the beginning of the trip/ice breakers.
The hikes and the views from each stop were i n c r e d i b l e. A once in a lifetime experience to not only experience great weather but to see sunrise/sunset in the Australian outback.

“Monty”
The tour was a lovely experience with great sights and great people. This is the tour you are looking for, it has it all. An experience you can not miss. Great value for money and just a true Aussie outback experience. Monty the tour guide is not only knowledgeable but extremely welcoming and friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels included. I would have no qualms in taking this tour again, in fact I would be quite happy to do it tomorrow!!!

“Uluru and its 50 shades of red!”
Uluru is magical in a way that cannot be explained and just seen. We had Rachel as our tour guide who showed us with great affection and legendary stories pieces of this place that are kept in our hearts! The group that took part in the tour was incredible and diverse, which made the adventure even more exciting!
I highly recommend the camping and hiking experience and I will do it again in the future (hopefully SOON).

“Best tour ever!”
I highly recomend to book a tour if you want to experiance the australian outback. Sleeping under the stars, getting close to nature, meeting a lot of lovely people. Our guide was Riley and he was just the best. He kept us well fed, hidrated, drove us from place to place (with great music) told us everything and more about the culture, nature and much more. All in all it was really amazing. Totaly recommend the tour :)

“Our first ever outback experience”
This is first ever outback experience for me, I mean camping, swags, overnight in the bush....As an urban girl, I see that hesitation and resistance inside of me when was in the camp. But all these uncomfortable are washed out by unique experiences I have gained and in-creditable scenes I have seen. It is an unforgettable trip. Especially I'd like to say thank you to our tour guide, Ben. Thanks for his enthusiasm, passion, patient, hard working, knowledge and etc to make it happened. I admire his connection to the people, respect to the industry and deeply love to this land. Lots of moments will be seized in my memory, I already looking forward to go back again.
If I could make a small suggestion which would be is it possible to consider a private tour to tailor to ppl would prefer a even small group and be more appreciate to tour in more depth.
Pandemic has been very challenge to tourism industry and to ppl working there, hence I also like to take a chance to encourage everyone to pay more attention and to support them as much as we could. Australia is an amazing country and there are so many places we could explore.

“Excellent 3 Day Tour of the Outback”
Having had a limited time in Australia, I am so glad I chose Mulgas Adventure Tours. I didn't know what to expect, being my first time in Australia, but I wanted to experience the beauty and culture of Alice Springs and the surrounding Outback. It was immensely satisfying sleeping under the stars and was the perfect balance of comfort and camping with our group of 23 travelers. I was especially impressed with our tour guide Andy. He was professional and hilarious. I could immediately tell that he loved his job! His sharing of knowledge and Aborignal culture made for a truly authentic and memorable experience! “Not even a thunderstorm could dampen the mood”

“An amazing one life time experience”

We had a fantastic time on our three day tour. We enjoyed all the walks and other activities, and our guide Nicole was helpful and informative. Our highlight was sunrise on Kings Canyon rim. “3 day uluru”
This tour was expertly led by Janner. He did everything humanly possible to make our tour as successful, informative and comfortable as possible. (Swags are swags) What a total legend . He drove ,prepared, cooked, guided and supported our group constantly over the three days. He regularly provided us with updates/ timings through out the day and took a genuine interest in how people were doing. Tanner has a genuine love of tourism and interest in people. Regular rest breaks included surprise snacks ( fruit/ biscuits) that were fresh and welcome. The whole group felt very supported and safe at all times. Thank you mulga tours for such an experience

“Unforgettable Tour”
The best part of this tour was the fantastic tour guide Janner He worker tirelessly to look after our group and his organisation skills were first class the whole trip flowed with ease was not rushed with plenty of time to explore Uluru Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon.
I was initially apprehensive with camping under the stars in a swag as I had never done anything like that before. The swags were comfortable and sleeping bags warm I am so pleased I toured this way it made the whole experience so real.
Food was great and very generous and all cooked by Janner.
Take the camping under the stars experience you will not regret it.

“Rock to Rock Tour-Simply Amazing”

“Bucket list trip!”
This tour exceeded all my expectations! As a solo traveler, this tour gave me an affordable option to see all that Uluru has to offer while also providing an opportunity to share it with like minded people. The sights were spectacular, the food delicious, hikes breathtaking and sleeping under the stars was absolutely magical. “Three day tour”
Myself and my partner went on the three day tour with our lovely guide Nicole. We had one of the best trips that we have done in Australia to date.
Mulgas were well organised; Nicole was fun and we enjoyed learning about the red centre while having the unique experience of camping in a swag! I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about a tour to the outback.
