Alice Springs is really where you need to go to understand the heart and soul of Australia. Meet your tour guide and fellow travelers at the Alice Springs pick-up point this morning and set off to explore the Red Centre. For those starting their tour from Ayers Rock, pick up time is 2pm.
Uluru is the heart of Australia and represents so much about this country; its size, its beauty and its culture. Shortly after you arrive, the unmistakable Uluru will emerge from the earth as one giant boulder. Walk off your lunch at Kata Tjuta which is only a short drive away. With its 36 various-sized domes, it provides quite a contrast to Uluru. You’ll get to know the landscape pretty well on an afternoon hike between the domes. As the evening unfolds, enjoy a light snack as the sun slowly sets casting a variety of earthy tones across Uluru. The perfect end to a remarkable day is awaiting you back at camp, as you enjoy a delicious spread of food with your group. If the weather permits, sit outside under the stars.

Day 2: Uluru
An early start this morning is rewarded with an Uluru sunrise as the sun hits the icon like a beacon, before the light floods the surrounding landscape. Your guide will take you to one of the significant cultural sights of Uluru, outlining Anangu rock art and passing on one of the creation stories of the site. While the morning is fresh, the time is yours to enjoy the self-guided, full base walk of Uluru, taking in all of the textures and valleys up-close, which isn’t evident from afar. Once you’ve had lunch, perhaps purchase some art at the Cultural Centre, hand-crafted by local First Nation Peoples of the Western and Central Deserts. Travel onto our exclusive campsite near the Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), where the group will have dinner and enjoy the stars.

Day 3: Kings Canyon Rim Walk
The main attraction of Watarrka National Park is undoubtedly Kings Canyon – a huge gorge enclosed by sheer rock walls many meters high. With its porous sandstone, deep gullies and hidden rock pools, it provides shelter to more than 600 species of native plants and animals. Your guide will point these out on a trek that takes in the canyon’s most famous locations such as the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre, and ofcourse North & South Walls of the canyon. After lunch, we hit the road again for a three-hour drive to Yulara in the late afternoon. This evening, you have choice to enjoy one of the following optional activities; a Sunset Camel Cruise, the Field of Lights, Sounds of Silence, the Wintjiri Wiru Drone display; or if you’d like to experience the Uluru sunset from a different perspective (and free of charge), tonight is the opportunity to do it! After dinner, relax at your camp for a night under the stars.

Total driving time today is around 5 hours. Total walking time is approximately 3 hours. For the Kings Canyon Rim Walk it is a requirement that you have a minimum of three litres of water with you. Please consider bringing your own refillable water bottles.
Day 4: Departure Day
After a short sleep-in, enjoy a hearty breakfast at our exclusive camp. Depending on your departure time, choose to take our free 10-minute transfer direct to Yulara’s Desert Gardens Hotel, or Uluru Airport (Ayers Rock Airport, airport code: AYQ). If you have plenty of spare time before your flight, you have the opportunity to leave your luggage at the Desert Gardens Hotel, and spend some time in Yulara Resort shopping at your leisure. Please note: There’s regular free airport shuttles from the Desert Gardens Hotel to the Ayers Rock Airport.

Is this trip right for you?
This is a basic camping experience sleeping in a swag. A swag in an Australian invention. It’s a bed roll with a thinner mattress and a canvas cover. You hop inside with your sleeping bag then zip yourself up, only allowing enough space to view the amazing stars above you.
Temperatures in the Red Centre can be extreme. During the day the weather can be more than 40 degrees Celsius in the shade (the Australian sun is very strong) so please bring appropriate clothing, use sun protection, and drink plenty of water. During the months of June, July and August, the evening temperatures can drop below zero degrees Celsius, so bring some thick socks, layers and a warm jacket.
This trip requires a moderate level of fitness as it involves a lot of walking, allowing you to really get among nature. Please bring sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothing.
On most days of the trip, you’ll spend several hours driving through very remote areas of the desert. Crank up the tunes and sit back to enjoy landscapes that you would miss in any other form of travel.
Group participation is important on this trip, so you’ll be required to help with the preparation of meals and cleaning up. These are the kind of tasks that bring a group closer together.

Airport Pickups: You can start this tour directly from Ayers Rock Airport on the same day you arrive. Flights must arrive before 1:41pm. Pick up is from the front of the airport.
Update: Currently we are allowing some picks for flights arriving at 1:55pm. It's best to bring carry-on luggage only to ensure a swift exit from the airport. If you are unable to get out of the airport in time, we will pick you up after sunset. If you are arriving on this flight, please check with us first before booking.

What should I pack?
Depending on where in Australia or New Zealand you decide to visit, your luggage will vary. For exact information please visit the "What to bring" section of each tour page.
What immunisations do I need?
For the latest information on immunisations, we strongly recommend you or contact the Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centre (www.traveldoctor.com.au) to discuss health requirements for your trip. They will advise you about appropriate inoculations.
Do I need to take any medical supplies?
It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How much luggage can I take?
We don't have an exact policy when it comes to luggage though we just ask our customers to be mindful that we have limited space. Generally we recommend people to bring a large backpack/suitcase with all their gear and another smaller backpack to keep on the bus and hold their daily items ( phone, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc ) and which they used to take on walks etc. If you have a lot of luggage is best to leave the things you don't need at your hotel/hostel where they will store it for free.
Where can I store my luggage whilst on tour?
During the tour your main luggage will be stored in our trailer. This trailer is always locked however we cannot guarantee the complete safety of your gear from theft or damage. This is why it is so important to purchase a good travel insurance. If you need to store your luggage whilst away on tour, this can be done through your accommodation. Most hostel and hotels will store your luggage safely free of charge.
Will I be able to do any laundry whilst on tour?
For camping tours there will be no time to do laundry. However, for longer cross country tours involving hostel or hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to wash your clothes.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
For all camping tours require you to have a sleeping bag. If you don't have one they may be available for hire via the "join tour" button.
How fit do I need to be?
Our tours are made to be fun, informative and active and can be enjoyed by anyone with a moderate degree of fitness and agility. Travellers should be comfortable with hiking/walking up to 5km each day.
Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Can I get online whilst travelling?
For tours incorporating hostel/hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to use wireless internet or use of nearby internet cafe. If you have a mobile plan with internet then that should be ok except for more remote regions. This will vary from tour to tour so please contact us directly for more accurate information.
Will I be able to use my mobile whilst on tour?
You can use your mobile while touring in Australia or New Zealand, but coverage may be limited in remote areas. For best connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card or an international roaming plan.
What happens if my flight gets delayed?
If you are starting your tour from Ayers Rock Airport, dont worry, your guide is in regular contact with operations. If your flight is delayed, we ask that you please;If possible, contact our freecall number and advise our team of your flight delay, this information will be passed on to your guide.If you’re only able to contact us after landing, that’s ok. Please call us when you land and let us know you have arrived.Please note, if your flight into Ayers Rock (Uluru) Airport is delayed significantly, we will come to pick you up as soon as we can. With longer delays, your tour bus might be busy with the rest of your group at Uluru Sunset and we'll try to pick you up afterwards. There may be times when we need to ask you to please be patient.

Do I have to book this tour online?
Definitely not. Our website is designed to make is easy and convenient for you to schedule your tour. However we understand sometimes its nice to talk to someone directly. So by all means give us a call and we can organise your trip over the phone.
If I book more than one tour can I get a discount?
Absolutely! If you are booking multiple tours then we may be able to offer you a discount. Send us an email at info@lostinaustralia.org and let us know what you thinking of doing and we can put together a price for you.Also, be sure to look out for monthly specials on tours. We often have some great bargains.
How do I know when a tour is available?
You can check the departure dates of tours by using our calendar on the top right hand corner of the tour page. This will tell you what days the tour departs. For availability of seats please contact us directly at info@lostinaustralia.org or call us.
Can I just do a section of this tour and not the whole trip?
Unfortunately it is not possible to only do a part of the tour. Passengers generally need to stay with the tour from start to finish.However, drop off locations at the end of the tour made me negotiated.
Does the tour price include flights?
No. Tour prices do not include any travel arrangements other than for the duration of the tour itself. If you need assistance with booking flights or buses our travel team and certainly help - Just ask!
How far in advance do I need to book my tour?
As a rule of thumb we generally say AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to departure, this will usually get you a seat on the date you want. That being said, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available at the time of your booking so, if you can, book as soon as possible. Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. If you know when you'd like to travel, please contact us and we will let you know if you need to book soon or if you have time.
If I make a deposit only, when will I need to pay the balance?
Balance on tours need to be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. Failure to do so could result is the cancellation of your seat with a fee charged. If you need more time to clear your balance then let us know ASAP and arrangements can be made.
Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
What does "Paid Locally" mean?
Some tours require you to pay national park fees directly, in cash, to the tour guide on the morning of departure. Rest assured this will be subtracted from the tour price when reserving your tour.
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.
Whilst on tour
What type of tent will I get?
Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. However, most Uluru tours we try and encourage the use of swags and mattress rather than tents. This is the ideal way to camp in the centre of Australia; Around a campfire, under the stars!
What will the food be like?
Our emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and our meals are nutritious and varied on these tours. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, fruits, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve picnic sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner - This can vary between pastas, bbqs, rices and other hearty food to keep you energized! We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops. Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included.
Can you cater of special diets?
We can certain cater for most dietary needs. Please advise us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made. For travellers with more extreme diets we may ask that you bring along additional snacks.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.
What form of vehicle do we use?
For our Uluru Tours we toss between a Troop Carrier 4WD Landcruise and a 4WD Mini bus. This depends on the size of the group and the amount of days we are out in the park. Each tour varies so please refer to your tour info panel on the top right hand side of the page.
Are there days where we travel for a long time?
During the first day we usually do a couple of hours driving to get out of the city and into the country side. However, once in the national parks, trips between attractions usually take between 30minutes to an hour.For tours heading up to Darwin or down to Adelaide, expect periods where we drive for a few hours at a time. Australia is enormous and the distance between towns and attractions can be quite large. But don't worry, we take plenty of breaks so your able to stretch and move about.For more accurate information please see tour itineraries.
What will the weather be like?
Between the months of April and August Central Australia is quite cold so be sure to bring warm clothing. Temperatures range from about 20c during the day right down to 2c at night.Between October and March temperature are warm, so light clothing during the day is ok. However, night times can still be quite cool so its wise to bring light winter clothing for extra warm.

The whole tour from start to finish was amazing. Despite the early starts and hot weather the walks were all stunning and rewarding. Camping may be a challenge for some but it's worth it for the authentic experience and a chance to better connect with and focus on the surreal surroundings you're staying in. Our tour guide, Elyse, was fun, friendly and informative the entire trip. She always kept everything on track, kept everyone entertained and made sure to teach us something at every opportunity and always made a point to stress the importance of the connection to the local land and people of the areas we were visiting. I'm not sure if the experience would have been the same without her! Highly recommend this trip

I did the Red Centre Camping Safari last week as a mum and son adventure with my nearly 9yo boy and it was wonderful. It was extremely well organised - experiences, walks, lodging, food - and our guide Tye was the most wonderful: always smily, ready to help, and so knowledgeable. So much so that my son wants to do it again, but only with the same guide. Be aware that it's not for every children. My son gladly followed every day through the 4:15am wake ups and the long, sometimes difficult (Kings Canyon Rim) walks, and yet he really struggled with the heat the first day at Kata-Tjuta. I extended the trip with a night at a nearby lodge and I can say you learn so much more and do / see so much more with this Adventure Tours experience. Thank you Tye for sharing your love of the Red Centre, and thank you Greg for making us all laugh. We loved it so much I'm already looking into our next adventure!

Had a once in a lifetime outback experience with Big Mitch, King of the Desert. The man was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the Outbacks plants and wildlife and also about the culture and history of the traditional owners of the land.
The tour is an incredible way to experience the Red Centre and I can't recommend it enough.

Wowsers, what a trip. Absolutely 10/10 time having a genuine experience of the outback and the regions cultural heritage. Good character building in the swags but wouldn't have had it any other way in hindsight.
We had Mitch the Yowie whisperer as our guide. Couldn't have asked for a better bloke to lead us into the unknown. He was attentive and organised whilst also making the trip feels like a grand adventure with a bunch of mates. Really nice group with a mix of ages. Mitch was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the history of the traditional owners as well as local flora & fauna.

Once in a lifetime experience!! Our guide was very passionate about the cultural heritage of the area and also told us a lot about it‘s Geology. Sleeping under the stars was mesmerizing. We had an amazing tour and were taken great care of although the weather was very hot!!

Thanks to her, we caught the best sunrise spots and were even the first ones in the canyon (such a magic experience!).

His knowledge and passion for Aboriginal culture was exceptional, and he really got the entire group engaged in learning about the culture of the Red Centre. He went out of his way to make everyone’s experience easier and more enjoyable.
The highlights for us were the base walk around Uluru and the breathtaking hike at Kings Canyon.
Be aware that it’s a participatory tour, so everyone pitches in with small tasks like setting up swags, helping with dinner, and washing dishes.

It was a great 4 days trip from Yulara with our tourguide Wayne. He knows a lot of the Aboriginals culture, the surroundings, bushcraft and has a great sense of humor. It was a great adventure with camping (sleeping in a swag or a tent), joint cooking and do the dishes, but most of all great hikes, great views and we learned a lot about the Aboriginals and history. And although it is a 3,5 hours ride to Kings Canyon on day 2, it was totally worth it. The spectacular views, the challenging hike makes it one of the highlights of our visit of Australia.

This trip was absolutely unforgettable! Everything was so well organized, and I was amazed by how much I enjoyed sleeping in the swags under the stars.
The shared campsite bathrooms had hot water, and the hikes were very manageable – you can take them at a comfortable pace.
Our guide, Mitch, was simply fantastic. His knowledge and passion for the Outback – its geography, vegetation, and especially Aboriginal culture – were truly inspiring. He always made sure everyone felt comfortable and worked hard to give us the best experience possible. And on top of that, he turned out to be a great cook, with incredible energy that made the whole tour fun and relaxed.
I will never forget the moment I saw Uluru for the first time – be prepared to feel deeply moved! A huge thank you to Adventure Tours and Mitch for these wonderful days that I will always carry in my heart.

I did the Red Centre Camping Safari last week as a mum and son adventure with my nearly 9yo boy and it was wonderful. It was extremely well organised - experiences, walks, lodging, food - and our guide Tye was the most wonderful: always smily, ready to help, and so knowledgeable. So much so that my son wants to do it again, but only with the same guide. Be aware that it's not for every children. My son gladly followed every day through the 4:15am wake ups and the long, sometimes difficult (Kings Canyon Rim) walks, and yet he really struggled with the heat the first day at Kata-Tjuta. I extended the trip with a night at a nearby lodge and I can say you learn so much more and do / see so much more with this Adventure Tours experience. Thank you Tye for sharing your love of the Red Centre, and thank you Greg for making us all laugh. We loved it so much I'm already looking into our next adventure!

Shearna was our tourguide and I have never had a tourguide who was so enthusiastic and lovely! She was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to give us a pleasant time. We sure had a special trip, as we were in the 1% of all tourists who got to see waterfalls on Uluru because of the extreme rainfall we had on the first two days. Sleeping on a campground sure is less luxurious than staying in a hotel, but that definitely made the experience more special and cool.

Our guide was Dunny Dan - He was very knowledgeable and experienced and definitely made the trip. Dan gave us insights on the aboriginal history of Uluru throughout and explained each place individually including where the elders would live in the caves, the aboriginal schools & kitchens. He took us to unique viewing points and got us the best spots for sunsets, sunrise, viewings (although had an interesting music taste, haha)

Had the best time in the red centre thanks to Adventure Tours and Renee, our wonderful guide/driver/cook/alarm clock. She'd light the campfire for us each night and we sat around it and got on like old friends. She talked so enthusiastically about plants/culture/geology and history, prepared plenty of delicious food for everyone, made sure we didn't miss a single sunrise/sunset and overall helped everyone get the most out of the their adventure. We chose the 3 Night Rock the Centre, Alice Springs to Yulara and it was really great. We visited the main sites of the region and slept in swags. The sleeping bags are warm enough and we spent good nights under the stars. The group was international and very friendly. We must of course warmly thank our wonderful guide Betty. She is an enthusiastic and very kind person. She shared with us her passion for the red center and ensured a perfect organization during the tour. Always nice and friendly and at the same time very efficient.
We can also mention that someone had a little accident during the tour. The management of the situation was very professional. Good to know and important when visiting remote areas.

Really enjoyed the tour - a great way to see all the sights and learn about the history and culture. Hunter was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, happy to answer our endless questions. As expected, it’s not super glamorous accommodation, but everything you need to be comfortable, and heaps of food to keep us well fed. Would recommend for anyone up for an adventurous way to see Central Australia.

This tour was the first I’ve ever done, and as a solo person I felt safe and welcome on the tour. I’m 35, and Australian - and as the only Aussie on the tour I still enjoyed the guides explanations and information. Lorrie our guide was exceptional, and catered to the vegans / special dietary requests without any issues. I highly recommend this tour!

My mom and I did this tour together. First time in the Outback for both of us, beautiful landscapes, amazing star gazing at night and once in a lifetime experience.
Our tour guide Lorrie made the trip even better, she's so knowledgeble and easy to talk to, very friendly and enthusiastic throughout the whole tour as well as a great chef catering for everyone, she deserves a raise !

Had a great experience on tour - they provide swags/warm sleeping bags/liner/towel. You get involved with helping prep/clean for meals. Lorrie was extremely knowledgeable, kind and a fun guide - she ensured we were all safe and well cared for! I would recommend, especially with a few days and are looking to start/end at the airport!

Had an AMAZING time doing the three day tour with my friend. The views at sunrise, sunset and the stars at night were out of this world and such an incredible thing to witness. Our guide Tye was brilliant - his knowledge, clear passion and overall his sense of humour made this trip very memorable and well worth the early starts! The swags were surprisingly comfy and sleeping under the stars out in the bush will forever be an experience I won’t forget!

On top of the stunning scenery our tour guide Ryan took really good care of us sharing stories around the Uluru and giving us a good insight on the flora and fauna as well. He made sure we all felt safe and had a good time with our group. For us it was the best way to experience the red centre and would highly recommend it!

I went with a friend for my last trip in Australia. We went for the 4 days camp trip and it was amazing ! I recommend sleeping in a swag to fall asleep and wake up under a sky full of stars. Our guide Betty was lovely, fun, and very passionate. She told us about the plants used by Aboriginal people either to eat or hunt, stories about their traditions and beliefs. I loved it ! This tour became so much more than expected and it really amazed me how much I've learned from those 4 days. Our tour guide, Hunter, had so much knowledge and passion telling us about the origin of the rocks and the indigenous culture, which made this tour so interesting and fun. We had the best time with Adventure Tours during our Yulara trip. Our tour guide Libbie was amazing - BIG THANK YOU - She took really good care of us and showed us the best parts of the Outback. The tour is packed with adventures, hikes/walks around Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. Seeing the rock from different angles at different times of the day was definitely one of the highlights. Another highlight was the sunrise hike at Kings Canyon! Food was amazing! Sleeping under the stars was the best! We can definitely recommend this tour and will go back home to Germany filled with amazing memories!

Her deep knowledge of Uluru and its cultural significance made every moment captivating. It brought the landscape to life, turning the trip into a journey through time and tradition.

Amazing and wonderful way to see the red centre - went to places I didn’t know about and so much easier than trying to plan and book yourself. We had a great guide - Hunter- who was friendly, knowledgeable, fun, well organised and an all round good guy. Loved kings canyon and learning about the geology and culture of the area. Was also lucky to have a great mix of ages and nationalities on the trip, which was fun.

If you haven't been to the Red Centre before, this is the first time trip you'd want to go on. The tour guides were knowledgable and had informative talks with us all the time. The tour is a great way to experience the natural and cultural beauties of the deserts. Food was simple but alright. Facilities were sufficient. The schedule was not so tight, although we had to get up at 5am each morning. Be prepared for nights in swags, warmth was not a concern but moisturising cream was an absolute necessity. In short, this tour is a rich and fantastic experience.

This tour was unforgettable! The sites we went to were of course amazing, but our tour guide Libbi made the experience even better! We learned so much about the nature and culture in the area from her which she told us in a very natural way. During the whole tour there was also a lot of respect and acknowledgment for the cultural significance, we were served good food, there was always water supply, and Libbi made sure there was a very joyful atmosphere. 100% recommended!

Incredible trip with a nice group of travellers from everywhere and our fantastic guide Libby. Libby not only aced all the logistics and shared her extensive knowledge on the history, culture, but also botany of the place (and was so patient and cheerful) - she also took us to chase waterfalls when it rained on Uluru and made last minute adjustments to adapt to the weather, which all turned out absolutely perfect.

I'll admit, when my husband told me we were going on 4-day, 3-night camping trip to see and hike around a big rock while we were in Australia, I was not overly excited. However, it was an amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, but what made it so enjoyable was Hunter, our guide. He was personable, professional, and incredibly funny! He made sure every one of the 24 people in our group were safe and all of our needs were met. He was very calm and organized with our big group. A great cook as well. We had the best time with Adventure Tours during our Yulara trip. Our tour guide Libbie was amazing - BIG THANK YOU - She took really good care of us and showed us the best parts of the Outback. The tour is packed with adventures, hikes/walks around Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. Seeing the rock from different angles at different times of the day was definitely one of the highlights. Another highlight was the sunrise hike at Kings Canyon! Food was amazing! Sleeping under the stars was the best! We can definitely recommend this tour and will go back home to Germany filled with amazing memories!

This tour became so much more than expected and it really amazed me how much I've learned from those 4 days. Our tour guide, Hunter, had so much knowledge and passion telling us about the origin of the rocks and the indigenous culture, which made this tour so interesting and fun. Amazing and wonderful way to see the red centre - went to places I didn’t know about and so much easier than trying to plan and book yourself. We had a great guide - Hunter- who was friendly, knowledgeable, fun, well organised and an all round good guy. Loved kings canyon and learning about the geology and culture of the area. Was also lucky to have a great mix of ages and nationalities on the trip, which was fun.

Just returned from an amazing trip to Uluru. The scenery was spectacular and I loved the tour experience. Hunter was an exceptional guide. His outgoing friendly personality, enthusiasm and respect for others was evident from the outset. Hunter's knowledge of local culture, geographical information and passion for history, delivered in an engaging and humorous way, were highlights of the trip. Everything was well organised and facilities and meals were excellent. I stayed in a tent with a comfortable bed and slept well. Having booked the overnight adventure, I soon wished I had booked the 3 night adventure like most of the other travellers. We were all having a great time and I was sad to leave the others as they continued on to Kings Canyon and I left to come home to Melbourne. My recommendation would be to do the 3 night adventure and enjoy the whole experience - you won't be disappointed. Thanks Hunter and Adventure Tours! I intend to return for the full tour in the future.

This tour was unforgettable! The sites we went to were of course amazing, but our tour guide Libbi made the experience even better! We learned so much about the nature and culture in the area from her which she told us in a very natural way. During the whole tour there was also a lot of respect and acknowledgment for the cultural significance, we were served good food, there was always water supply, and Libbi made sure there was a very joyful atmosphere. 100% recommended!

If you haven't been to the Red Centre before, this is the first time trip you'd want to go on. The tour guides were knowledgable and had informative talks with us all the time. The tour is a great way to experience the natural and cultural beauties of the deserts. Food was simple but alright. Facilities were sufficient. The schedule was not so tight, although we had to get up at 5am each morning. Be prepared for nights in swags, warmth was not a concern but moisturising cream was an absolute necessity. In short, this tour is a rich and fantastic experience.

From the first minute Hunter -our great guide, -driver, -cook, -bus mechanic and -everything more- made us feel welcome and safe on ‘his’ bus. After picking up the rest of the of the crew we had beautiful sunsets and sunrises, even more beautiful walks - there is so much more than Uluru- and a lot of fun. Our crew was diverse in age - from 10yr Ben to ‘ experienced’ Rob and Marie - , nationality ( 10) and-so-on.. great!
Not to forget how fab it is to see the stars in a setting without lights.. the tents were very comfortable although the folks using the ‘ swag’ - bed obviously had the better star view! Big thanks to Hunter!

First and foremost, Hunter was an amazing guide! He made the trip incredible with his knowledge, humor, and professional/safe driving! Trying to organize and keep 24 people on time is tough, but Hunter did it with style.
We choose to sleep in tents with beds, linens, pillow, and towel, which was very comfortable. The food was very good, especially at dinner.
Finally, the sunrise hikes, sunset viewing are memories we will have forever. Thanks to Hunter and Adventure Tours for a this fantastic tour/trip. Looking forward to our return to Central Australia.

Spent 3 nights camping under the stars “roughing it” in a swag which was surprisingly cosy and certainly an authentic experience - definitely do it! Hunter, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared stories and information about each of the places we visited. He had great energy, kept us all entertained and was just awesome. My trip highlights included snacks at sunset by Uluru and the Kings Canyon rim walk - stunning scenes. I'll admit, when my husband told me we were going on 4-day, 3-night camping trip to see and hike around a big rock while we were in Australia, I was not overly excited. However, it was an amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, but what made it so enjoyable was Hunter, our guide. He was personable, professional, and incredibly funny! He made sure every one of the 24 people in our group were safe and all of our needs were met. He was very calm and organized with our big group. A great cook as well. Libbi was a fantastic guide. We saw everything we wanted to see but impressively Libbi adapted the itinerary to take advantage of the waterfalls that were coming off Uluru. A once in a lifetime experience that I’m grateful Libbi took us to see. Libbi has exceptional knowledge of Uluru and Kings Canyon which made doing the tour an informative and entertaining experience.
The camping in swags experience was great fun too but bring a pillow for comfort and don’t forget to take a towel if you want a shower.

We had a great time with Mishka, our tour guide! He showed us so many interesting things and gave us a lot of background knowledge about Aboriginal culture and geological facts. Despite the high temperatures, everyone managed the tour well because Mishka always made sure we had enough water, shade, snacks and fresh fruit! Cooking together was fun and the food was delicious and varied. Mishka's organizational skills, humor and positive attitude are indescribable - the best tour guide you can get!

The 4 day Kakadu tour was a fantastic experience. Our guide Rick was entertaining, informative and supportive (especially to two older ladies who occasionally needed a bit of extra time or support in the more challenging trails). A huge array of wildlife, stunning scenery and great company. Be prepared to muck in and you can't fall to enjoy it. We're already planning our next trip with Adventure Tours.

When myself and Lily arrived we were greeted at the airport by an enthusiastic woman who gave us a brief on what to expect and what we were doing.
As I sat in the (school bus) Renee (the activity leader) was pointing out so much history and even talking to us about the plantation.
I was very impressed with her attitude towards her job and her knowledge.
By the end of the day she had got us all to know each other as a group and made me and Lily feel very comfortable!
As a backpacker I would 100% recommend this trip as my experience was amazing, the energy to teach and guide from Renee was to be admired and if I could hire her to come and work for me I would steal her in a heartbeat.
I rate this trip 5/5 although my only recommendation would be to follow suit as the other companies had champion watching the sunset go down which is pretty sick! But not essential to the purpose of the trip.

The schedule was perfect; between food prep, setting up camp and cleaning up there was just enough time to enjoy the moment. James was really good at leading the group whilst leaving space for a natural bond to form between everyone. I did not expect to enjoy this experience that much. Will definitely recommend it!

Everything I expected it to be and more. James our guide was amazing and knew a lot about the places we visited. He made sure the group was okay and took us to see the most beautiful places. The food on tour was tasty, always enough. If you have dietary wishes they respect them and make sure there is something to eat for you as well. I’d highly recommend this tour to everyone. It was an experience I’ll never forget.
