How it works:
Our incredible East Coast packages are made up of a combination of tours, accommodation, and bus routes. You’ll travel independently between each destination using the Greyhound bus network, which we’ll book and organise for you.
We plan your entire trip to help you save money and time and take away the stress of making sure everything fits together seamlessly.
You’ll stay in some of Australia’s best hostels and explore iconic destinations such as the Great Barrier Reef, Whitsunday Islands and Fraser Island with amazing guides and like-minded travellers. No time is wasted and every dollar goes toward maximising your experience!
Day 1: Melbourne Free Day
Arrive in vibrant Melbourne and dive straight into its creative coffee scene, street art, galleries, and local markets. Explore at your own pace, soak in the culture, and get ready for an unforgettable journey north along Australia’s east coast.

Day 2: Travel to Sydney
Board the bus north to Sydney. Prepare to be amazed by the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and iconic Bondi Beach. Take the evening to relax or wander the city streets.

Day 3: Sydney Free Day
Arrive into Sydney and check into your hostel. Later explore Sydney’s suburbs, take photos, enjoy hidden cafes, or just follow your own adventure. The day is yours to experience the city like a local.

Day 4: Blue Mountains Adventure
Lace up your hiking boots and set off for the stunning Blue Mountains. Explore deep valleys, spot the iconic Three Sisters rock formation, and learn about Indigenous history with your local guide.

Day 5 & 6: Explore Sydney
Take two days to really discover Sydney. Surf at Bondi Beach, visit the Opera House and Circular Quay, shop at local markets, or wander through hidden laneways and gardens. There’s something for everyone in this iconic city.

Day 7: Travel to Byron Bay
Hit the road to Byron Bay, Australia’s hippie haven. Check into your hostel, explore the coastal town, and enjoy its relaxed and creative vibe.

Day 8: Surf Lesson in Byron Bay
Take a half-day surf lesson with local instructors and ride the waves like a pro. Learn the do’s and don’ts of surfing while enjoying Byron’s iconic beaches.

Day 9: Kayak with Dolphins
Paddle along Byron Bay’s coastline on a guided kayak tour. Spot dolphins, explore beaches, and enjoy the stunning headlands from the water.

Day 10 & 11: Byron Bay Free Days

Journey to the Gold Coast and check into your hostel. Enjoy sun, sand, and the iconic surf culture of Surfers Paradise.

Relax, surf, or explore the vibrant Gold Coast city life. Enjoy the beach, try local eateries, or simply unwind and prepare for the next leg of your journey north.

Day 15 & 16: Travel to Brisbane
Day 15 travel to Brisbane arriving early midday.
Discover Brisbane’s Southbank, take a CityCat ferry, stroll through the Botanical Gardens, and experience nightlife in Fortitude Valley. Two days to enjoy the city and its riverside charm.

Day 17 & 18: Travel to Noosa
Day 17 travel to Noosa Heads where you'll spend two days exploring Noosa at your own pace. Relax on Main Beach, wander Hastings Street, or take a walk through the coastal National Park. Recharge for your next adventure.

Day 19: Noosa Everglades Canoeing
Glide along the serene Noosa Everglades with a local guide. Explore mangroves, reflective waterways, and spot abundant wildlife on this unique canoeing experience.

Day 20: Australia Zoo
Meet kangaroos, koalas, and crocodiles at the famous Australia Zoo. Enjoy the wildlife shows and learn about Australia’s iconic animals.

Day 21–23: Fraser Island 4WD Safari
Day 1: Depart Noosa
Once you have arrived on the world's largest sand island, drive for 1 hour to the Eurong Beach Resort along 75 Mile Beach - K'gari's (Fraser Island) own highway with speed limits! There, you can grab a coffee and chocolate croissant (at your own cost) for morning tea. From here, the adventure really begins as we drive to the famous Lake McKenzie, one of the most popular and picturesque highlights of K'gari (Fraser Island). We stop for lunch and time to swim and relax in the amazingly clear lake waters before driving up the beach to your campsite around 3:00 pm. Settle in for an early dinner, well-deserved drinks and plenty of fun!
Day 2: K'gari (Fraser Island)
The day begins with a quick breakfast to fuel your busiest day on K'gari (Fraser Island)! First stop is Eli Creek, a beautifully clear creek perfect for a relaxing swim. Travelling north, stop at Maheno Shipwreck for a photo opportunity and a short history lesson about this famous K'gari (Fraser Island) icon before continuing on past Indian Head to the stunning Champagne Pools for a dip. Lunch is served at either Maheno Shipwreck or Champagne Pools on Day 2, depending on time constraints, safety and beauty. In the afternoon, travel back to camp for dinner and drinks.
Day 3: Return to Noosa
Start with breakfast before cleaning and disassembling your campsite. Once packed up, you'll drive to the beginning of the Lake Wabby walk where you'll stride through the dunes to find a tropical paradise! Lunch follows your trip to Lake Wabby before you begin the drive down the beach and back to the barge. Once arrived on the mainland, head to the 4WD shed where you can unpack and quickly clean the cars. You will return to your hostel between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Day 23 – Hostel in Noosa
Day 24 & 25: Travel to Rainbow Beach
Take a short bus from Noosa to Rainbow beach and check into your new hostel. Enjoy the sun, take a walk to Carlo Sandblow, relax on the beach, and soak up the laid-back vibe before travelling to Airlie Beach.

Day 26: Travel to Airlie Beach
You will have this morning free to explore Rainbow Beach a bit more before saying goodbye.
Late this afternoon at 2pm we jump on an overnight bus and head further north to Airlie Beach.

Day 27: Free Day in Airlie Beach
Arrive into Airlie Beach early this morning and relax, explore the main street, or enjoy the lagoon at your own pace. Recharge for your upcoming Whitsundays sailing tour.

Day 28–30: Whitsunday Islands Sailing Adventure
Day 1:
Embark on a sailing adventure to one of the Whitsundays' most picturesque islands. Dive into the crystal-clear waters and discover the wonders of snorkeling and scuba diving. As you sail to your first sleeping location in the protected waters of Whitsunday Island, unwind on the deck with a refreshing beer or wine and savor a freshly cooked dinner sourced locally.
Day 2:
Rise and shine to a freshly cooked breakfast. Today's activities will depend on the weather and tides. You can look forward to two additional snorkeling sessions at different beautiful locations around the islands, or opt for a quick 10-minute bush walk to Hill Inlet lookout. Capture the breathtaking view and take a leisurely stroll to the world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Indulge in a fully catered lunch and dinner during the day.
Day 3:
Beach Wake up early once again to enjoy breakfast and make the most of your final day in the Whitsundays. Spend more time exploring the beaches and snorkeling spots before heading back to Airlie Beach in the late afternoon. You'll have another night's stay at Nomads and can look forward to an epic after-party with your newfound friends.

Day 31: Free Day in Airlie Beach
Today is yours to spend however you like. Relax and recover after your sailing adventure, catch up with friends and family back home, or tackle some laundry. Stroll along the main street, pop into local cafes, or see what events are happening—this day is all about you!

Day 32–34: Travel to Magnetic Island
Depart Airlie Beach and travel north to Townsville where you'll board a ferry to Magnetic Island. Here you'll explore for the next three days. Relax on palm-lined beaches, swim, and soak in the tropical island atmosphere.

Day 35 & 36: Travel to Mission Beach
Day 35 you'll travel to Mission Beach and check into your amazing hostel. The following morning get ready for a beach landing skydive in the original jump site in Far North Queensland

Day 37: Travel to Cairns
Head north from Mission Beach to Cairns. Check into your hostel, enjoy the palm-fringed beaches, and take in the calm, tropical vibe.

Day 38: Great Barrier Reef
Starting at 7am, dive into the stunning underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. Spend the day snorkeling or diving with sea turtles, colorful coral, and abundant marine life.

Day 39: Explore Cairns
Make the most of today – it’s all yours. Explore Cairns at your own pace, take a dip in the swimming lagoon, sip a coffee at a local café, or enjoy a leisurely walk along the esplanade. See what events or activities are happening in the city – with so much on offer, your free day will be anything but idle!

Day 40: Cape Tribulation
Enjoy an amazing day in the Rainforest. Travel to Port Douglas on one of the most renowned scenic coastal roads in Australia. Enjoy free time in Port Douglas to soak up the village atmosphere. Enjoy a guided walk through this magnificent rainforest area taking in the boardwalk and - Alexandria Lookout – The perfect location to view where the Daintree Rainforest, Daintree River and the Coral Sea merge into one spectacular panoramic reflection. Ideal spot for those post card photo opportunities.
Lunch Time – Bring your own lunch or purchase a snack from the restaurant and chill out on the white sand of Cape Tribulation Beach or enjoy a swim in the resort pool (Swimming in the ocean is seasonal due to stingers, period Oct to June).After Lunch our journey continues to the majestic Daintree River for a 1 hour Wildlife and Crocodile exploration.
This is a rare location to see wildlife at play in their native habitat and retrieve knowledge and tales of the area from a local naturalist guide. On the return trip back to Cairns we will stop briefly at Rex’s Lookout. A popular spot for tourist’s to take scenic photos of the coast line and out to Green Island. It’s also a popular spot for dare devil hang gliders to enjoy the uplifting sea breeze.

Day 41: Free Day
Take today to unwind and recharge after three action-packed days. It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up on life admin, do some laundry, or simply relax. If you’re looking to chill out, the Cairns Lagoon is ideal for a refreshing swim!

Day 42: Farewell
Wake up in sunny Cairns for your final morning of this epic adventure. Check out of your hostel, say goodbye to new friends, and reflect on two-and-a-half unforgettable weeks of exploring Australia’s East Coast. Whether you're continuing on to your next destination or flying home, you've made memories to last a lifetime!
