Amazing experience! Saw all the cool sights and learned a lot about the history of K’Gari and the aboriginal people. Hotel was amazing but had no wifi. Shoutout Keith for being the best tour guide ever.

I took part in a 3 Day K’Gari Getaway tour in June 2026. This is my review:Day 1. Mainland Arrival, ferry to island and night at Kingfisher Bay ResortThis went very smoothly and Kingfisher was an excellent place to stay. Good rooms, food and a great environment.Day 2, 3 travelling.This aspect was truly wonderful. The itinerary was good, the bus itself was nearly new and impressive. Taylah was our guide. She was warm, cheerful and kept us informed and amused throughout. In addition to that she was a very good driver on some challenging tracks. In summary she was a total delight.Day 2 accommodation K’Gari Beach Resort.After the excellence of Kingfisher and Taylah’s bus journeys I found this resort a shocking disappointment. The rooms that were assigned to us were very basic without heating or cooling. I had to search out a heater from the management. The restaurant was closed for refurbishing though we were fed adequately, in a basic setting. There was no entertainment or activities available. I was reduced to my IPad until 7.45pm when the internet failed. Management explained that internet was unreliable in the block to which we were assigned – a pathetic explanation in this Starlink connected age. Overall, especially when compared to the class of Kingfisher and the bus, my experience here was awful.

Fraser Island was my favourite. We drove the 4WD on the beach and I could not believe this was real. Lake McKenzie also — the water is so clear it looks like someone has filled it with glass. I would tell every German traveller coming to Australia to do this package. It is worth every dollar.

Ich habe dieses Paket nach langem Überlegen gebucht und es war definitiv die beste Entscheidung meiner Reise. Alles war perfekt organisiert — die Busse, die Hostels, die Touren. Man muss sich um nichts kümmern und kann einfach genießen. Für jemanden der alleine reist ist das ein riesiger Vorteil.Fraser Island war absolut unglaublich. Der Lake McKenzie hat ein Wasser so klar, dass man kaum glauben kann, dass es echt ist. Und die Whitsundays — ich habe keine Worte dafür. Whitehaven Beach muss man einfach gesehen haben. Ich empfehle dieses Paket jedem der Australien bereisen möchte, ohne sich um die Logistik zu kümmern.

The tour highlights are exactly as described. K'gari was a proper adventure — driving 4WDs along 75 Mile Beach, swimming in Lake McKenzie, camping under the stars. The Whitsundays sailing was three days of pure bliss. And the Great Barrier Reef, even for someone who's snorkelled in a fair few places, was genuinely awe-inspiring. The guides across all the tours were knowledgeable and enthusiastic without being overbearing.

Did the 3 day tour as a solo traveler and I would highly recommend it regardless of whether you’re solo or with friends. The tour schedule provided a good balance of planned activities and free-time. The lakes, creeks, tidal pools, and rainforest trails that we visited were all stunning. An underrated part of this trip was how social and friendly everyone was (perhaps due to the lack of cell service on most of the island). I can’t remember the last time I saw that many young people so present and willing to interact - even with solo travelers like myself.Our guide, Rhett was amazing from start to finish. He went way above and beyond to provide added value in the form of informative talks or fun facts about the diverse plants and animals on the island. He also created an environment where it was easy to have fun, whether it was setting up volleyball nets on the beach, or by putting on mini guitar concerts on both nights. He quickly resolved any minor hiccups with vehicles, camping setups, etc. He was a key reason why this tour will be a highlight of my trip, and something I’ll remember for a long time!My only constructive criticism would be that there was a fair bit of leftover food which was thrown out immediately after each meal which was sad to see. Acknowledging that it is not easy to perfectly estimate how much 30 people will eat, it would be nice if there was bit more consideration given to minimizing food waste where possible.Thank you Dingos for a great experience!

We had a great weekend with fraser dingoes.Bob was a brilliant guide, with his local knowledge and he made it a fun experience.Driving the 4x4 was great fun.The island is really pretty.The house was comfortable and we were glad we weren't camping when it rained I would highly recommend this trip.My tip would be to take plenty of snacks!
